It really depends on how much protection you want/need and what features you want. If you have access to Amazon.com, there are several cases and I personally use this one http://www.amazon.com/DURAGADGET-De...words=duragadget+xoom+case&pebp=1418431596253
The basic stock Xoom case is pretty good for simple protection too.

hey,
I'm thinking buying a case for my SGS.
I have some case on my mind and I hope maybe someone can help me decide which one I should get. If you how much thickness the case would add to the phone and if it provides a good protect to the phone.
the cases are:
1) SGP Case ULTRA SILKE
2) Case-mate Tough Case
3) Tuff-Luv Slim&Lite Silicone skin case
4) PDair Luxury Silicone Case
thanks.
none of the above
well maybe the tough case
but you can get non bran name tough case on ebay for way less
after trying out many cases, i still like the Mesh Case from Korea better good quality build, and looks amazing on the phone
they have a metal look to it, even though it's hybrid plastic/rubber
i have a tough case at home, it's collecting dust, it doesn't look good on the phone
but it does protect the phone if that is what you want
but if you prefer better looks then the Korean have better choices
I recently got the tough case from case mate and it's pretty awesome. It's great because I know that my phone will be protected if I drop it. I'm not a big fan of the silicon cases simply that you won't get much protection from them if you drop your phone..
My only gripe about the tough case is that it does add a bit of bulk to the phone and makes it a bit more difficult to carry in your pocket. That's the trade off for drop protection though

Hi. What type of cases are the best that fully protects the phone? I have read that OtterBox silicone cases are good. Or maybe there are better cases than the OtterBox and silicone?

There are a lots of phone cases that protect phone. Just go to the store and ask... So you can check the quality of it right in front of you. Better yet, you can compare.
Don't forget to hit thanks.....
I just got my new HTC inspire 4g and was wondering what case would best protect my phone from drops , cracks , ext ...
using xda app-developers app
It's a fairly personal choice on cases. You can browse eBay and amazon to see if there are any you like. For protection many go with an otterbox commuter or defender. I've used a casemate tough on my inspire for a couple years now and its suited me perfectly.

I have to agree that these three cases are definitely the way to go. However, based off the title of the thread, I would recommend to stay away from the Defender as it is rather bulky. This is where many typically go with the commuter case. I will definitely agree with the CaseMate Tough case though. It does not add a lot of bulk and it has outstanding grip. The commuter series tends to be kind of slick because of the outer plastic, but Casemate remedied this by using a nicely textured plastic that works great for gripping.
I'm notoriously bad about dropping mobile devices, so I'm looking for a good rugged case that doesn't add too much bulk to the tablet. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Edit: Oops, that should be for the 10.5, not the 10.6!
I went for this one and although it weighs 290g I'm confident it's strong enough to protect from drops and other than the weight I wouldn't describe it as bulky:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00N46ACUA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Also unless you buy one made of carbon fibre (£££££) you will of course add some size to the tablet regardless of which case you go for, it's a trade off between protection and dimensions.

I definitely expect a protective case to add a little bulk, but the Otterbox for this tablet is just WAY too bulky.
I think I found the case you referred to on the US Amazon site at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N46ACUA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2IHZFOHOQ0WG8. When I was looking for that, I also found this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L2N58BA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2IHZFOHOQ0WG8. Would you recommend one over the other?
I've also been looking at this case: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LEY95HU...lid=2CCEFOTVC1FPB&coliid=I3S2LVSVANEW8G&psc=1, but I'm not sure if a silicone-only case will give me the protection I need, and I prefer one that has a cover/stand.
Opinions?

I think the only difference between them is the colour used and the fact the stand can sit the tab in portrait but the materials look the same.
Yeah that third one doesn't have a stand which was something I wanted also it doesn't cover the screen so dust etc. will get onto it plus I reckon the case I have could potentially protect against a small amount of liquid.
Also that case looks like it'll feel quite clunky in your hand.
Best thing to do is order one then return it if you're not happy.
good protection
which one did you finally buy?
I'm also looking for a good rugged case for my wife's Galaxy Tab S 8.4. We bough a toughbook and she still managed to get a crack on its side.... She's dropped her tablet and the screen never came back on. It was even protected by the EXO rugged hybrid armor case, AND it was in her purse. It just slipped off of her winter coat on to the ground, and that was the end. So we're getting it fixed, but need a heavy duty case. If any suggestions on what you did buy, it would be appreciated.
I am looking for some rugged skins for use in the car the ones i found were:

The most rugged case I found is the BobjGear Rugged Case for the Tab-S, plus it has cooling because the tab-s runs warm.
Lots of drops from my grandchildren, even down a flight of 13 wooden stairs, and no problems. And it is not expensive either.
Hello. I'm looking for a case to my phone in hope for improving its grip because it is a very slippery one. Which case I should choose? I heard rubber material is good. It is a general question than for one specific device. What are your recommendations? Thanks.
Don't know what device you are looking for, but the Spigen Neo Hybrid series cases have a TPU back which is a type of silicone. They are a little more expensive than other brands at around $35 for most phone models but are worth the extra cost since they protect the phone very well.

Yes they are good but I don't like its polycarbonate frame. Can I use it that frame off?

I would have to know which model you are looking for. Some are one-piece and you cannot take off the frame, but some are two-piece which you can use without the frame.
