Is anyone else experiencing calling issues? Often, I'll dial a number or tap an address book entry and it immediately hangs up. Both with headset in and out. I can reboot and that sometimes fixes it temporarily, but not always. Very frustrating! Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks.
I have the same issue. I noticed it happens when mobile data is on. What model are you using?

T-Mobile D6616. I spoke to TS, they suggested disabling VoLTE, and rebooting. I did, and made 1 call successfully, but obviously it will take more time to determine if this is a real fix....
I've experienced this. A quick reboot resolved it for me. I haven't had it occur often enough for it to be a real problem.

i can send and receive text messages but when i send a message the recipient sees my number differently. it shows up as 13114803923875893750485 or some long ass number. anyone else have this?
I fixed this (temporarily) by unchecking "Send callback number" under SMS settings.

Weird issue... not the worst one the phone has though. There are some others that really need to be addressed.
Well, my text was from the 3G area I live in, to an individual in a 4G area, but they only have a 3G phone...
This happened to me for the first hour or so I had my phone on. I turned off my Eris and restarted my TB and problem fixed. I believe it has do with allowing your phone information to propagate through the system. If the porblem persists for longer than a day, I would get Verizon on the phone.

I'm on 7.1.1, completely stock. Suddenly I have issues with calling people - when I call them I can't hear the dial tone, nothing, but they can pick up and can hear me.
I tried several solutions on the internet - disabling bluetooth, disabling Google Asssistant and all the "OK" Google options. Tried waping Phone app cache. Nothing fixed it.
This issue happened suddenly, no changes were made to the phone. The issue is fixed with a reboot - when I reboot my phone I can call people again and can hear them but the issue keeps happening again and I have to reboot everytime.
I have dropped my phone lately but there were no visible damage - I hope it's not a HW issue as the issue gets fixed after a reboot.
Any suggestions?

Its not hardware related. Others here have had the same problem. Me included. I turned off advanced calling a couple months ago and haven't had a problem since. If you have it enabled, try disabling it. Settings>More>Cellular Networks.

Thanks for the reply - but i don't have this Advanced Calling option in Cellular Networks. I'm from Switzerland and I don't have any Wifi Calling features from my provider.
It must be some software bug but I don't want to do a hard reset...
This is a known issue. Look at the google Product Forum Pixel forum. There is a thread called Severe Microphone Issues.

On my third pixel now...the second one failed per the discussion in the link above. Hope this helps.

Are you sure it's a microphone issue? The other's can hear me but I can't hear them and it works after a reboot.

In the thread Google states it is a hardware issue and to return phones. The mic failure is part of a larger issue which they seem to be believe involves software and hardware. Wipes and reboots temp fix. But the problems come back and magnify.
Hi guys, I got my OnePlus 7 pro at the time of release, and up to now it's been through all of the updates etc. But I have a major problem with using WiFi. Sometimes it works normally, but other times, images won't load, or downloading images from apps such as WhatsApp takes forever. Images such as profile pictures don't load either or will take a very long time. However watching video on YouTube etc is all fine. I'm very confused at to this issue and wondering if anyone else knows anything about it.
Thankyou!
By the way, using mobile data works fine and everything loads properly.
I would recommend factory reset at this point. This beast is fast as hell on wifi. No issues here.
I've also had this issue sometimes. It pops back up every now and then but what fixed it in most apps was going into router/modem settings and make sure that the time(what tells the router your local area's current time) is being controlled by your ISP and not by the internet.

Thank you for your response, yeah the 7 pro is a beast, but i doubt that a factory reset would help

Thank you for your reply, i will try this and see if it works. I'm still unsure about the cause of this issue, and i really hope its not a hardware issue. I never had this problem on my OP3 which is quite sad

Hey
Does anyone experience problems of phone having full signal and then dropping it.
The problem I'm experiencing is frequent dropout during calls and being unable to establish them afterwards.
I can send texts and use the internet one minute and the next the phone doesn't work and drops my calls as well as doesn't accept them.
I tried swapping SIMs, rebooting, flight mode, you name it. The phone starts working again after about five minutes.
Here is the error:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1e6_D3RM6luCK_LWDQSmOq-gJmmxjQOd9/view?usp=sharing
I would really appreciate some help. I highly suspect that this started happening with one of the latest updates.
I'm on a vanilla 12.0.3 Global rom.
Cheers

Yup. I have it pinpointed to a software problem as the phone worked just fine until a couple of updates ago. I can't however work out what could cause it.
I'm currently trying toggling VoLTE and changing APN settings (APN had wrong settings but still worked). Maybe the combination of both could cause problem.
I have also found out that SMS and data connection works fine all the time. It's just the calling function that causes the problem. I can listen to Spotify all day and it will work but as soon as someone tries to call me the signal will drop and everything stops. When I call the same thing happens. The bars just drop to 0 and playback stops. It resumes right after and works fine as long as I don't try to call. If I do the same thing happens.
The issue resolves itself after 5-30 minutes or so and then everything works totally fine.
So yeah if I had a rooted phone I would definitely contribute this to faulty rom or a rogue app. But I don't have one so it should work fine.
I've managed to capture it on video (sorry for the shaky camera but it was hard to film using one hand):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxusuCwsiBc&t=2s
Reboots, flight mode, swapping SIM cards (using a brand new one), using a SIM in slot 1 or slot 2, heck both slots, VoLTE on or off... I have literally tried everything. Nothing changes. Placing the same card in my other phone is fine. The problem happens everywhere and not only in one place so it's not reception. Also it doesn't matter if I'm moving or not so it's not switching between towers.
Same prob
I have the same prob, and I also tried every thing even flashing lineage didn't help, did u manage to find solution????

Sort off. I had to send it to a service center and they've returned my money as it was deemed irreparable.
Hi, would like to ask for some help to the community because every ROM i've tested, Arrow, Pixel Experience, etc etc i have an issue regarding receiving calls. When someone calls me, after 30 seconds call goes off. If i am the one who calls, all seems fine.
How can i make a better report for what is happening to me? I have no idea why this happens.
Now i tried ACIP ROM, and the same happened. Just after a clean install, the only ROM that this doesn't happen is MIUI latest. I am completely losing hope on using custom ROMS. Would love some help to log or whatever.
Is 30 seconds a time to screen off?
I observe similar behavior in Lineageos, but it is only screen off, not disconnect.
No, just the call. between 20 - 30 seconds it just disconnects.
Try turning off Wifi-calling

Wifi calling caused my phone to double call, it would call hang up then call again.
Maybe its a network provider issue?
Have you tried format data and also if you use Wifi calling do calls get disconnected ?
I dont use wi-fi connection.
Strange that Miui works fine. Is there a way i can make a log?
still having this issue, any thoughts on this? how to debug it?
have you tried using other cards or networks?
@OP - is the phone still under warranty? Sounds like a hardware connection problem.

Bruh that's weird, i've never experienced apps like this going ape crazy in the long run of me installing ROMs from here in XDA. Everything works fine except in all the custom ROMs
Ever tried to backup that "working" phone app and installing it on the custom ROMs?
Not sure if there's a way to log that event if ever you want logs to be saved and documented for troubleshooting.

Set Filter for errors, save output to file and analyze on a another device or try live? You could try to call somebody with speakers enabled while watching logcat
edit: forgot to mention - settings->buffers release don't stupidity
