[T110] Tab3 lite 7" - SM-T110 - goyawifi - recov bootloop 40% resolved - philz 6.30.1
philz_touch_6.30.1-goyawifi.tar.md5
philz 6.30.1 goya wifi
The situation for SM-T110 users could be better. I want a stock ROM with working PhilZ, since custom ROMs are too poorly documented.
Though Philz recov "works" nicely (and roots the T110), there seems to be no way to fix the recov-bootloop (reboot goes back to recov, imposs to get to real Android GUI) other than to Odin-flash the stock-recov (recovery.tar.7z from this forum) and wipe cache. This was reported by numerous T110 users. Alternatively use Stock_recovery_T111_110.zip https://mega.co.nz/#!cAZCTAbY!Mwt5N58yxNFzMDDkA5Y2qq5SDr8laAcEBK8CkXi2W_Q by gr8nole Odin-less stock ROM.
But then you have no Philz anymore and cannot as easily make nandroid backups.
Certain custom ROMs seem to have custom-recov without bootloop, but afaik no one published the fix they must have found already.
So: SM-T100 users lack CWM , TWRP or PhilZ which works (more than once) without bootloop. With my T110, the first reboot from within latest PhilZ works (boots up Android GUI like usual) but the second & any further reboot from within PhilZ gets you stuck in bootloop.
CWM does not even reboot once properly like PhilZ does. So a quick way to get a rooted SM-T110 is to use philz_touch_6.30.1-goyawifi.tar.md5 just for rooting only and replace it with stock recov immediately after.
T110 is not supported by Towelroot or any other rooter afaik.
see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56446297&postcount=14 for a CWM workaround.

sorry state of affairs on the SM-T110
even tho the T110 should have hi sales numbers due to itz lo price of 90€ there is not so much out there in terms of dev stuff.

custom ROM : installs with PAZIUSSS, but it wipes PAZIUSSS ! u must reflash PAZIUSSS after Criskelo install

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2766612
in Criskelo installer, there is a misleading install page in AROMA about wiping SDcard or /system, the two of which are confused and doesn't reflect a possible /system wipe done manually.

PAZIUSSS also installs "Dr. Ketan custom ROM" but I wasn't too impressed by it. at least it did not wipe PAZIUSSS like Criskelo did.

Then when i try to install Slimrom or CM installer to flash and install a new OS but i getting an error 7 - unverified file so i cannot put any Os back on the device
Can anyone help?
Sounds like you flashed the wrong recovery, possible that you installed the p3100 recovery.
Try reflashing the recovery.

Flashing KK ROMs on outdated recovery will get you a status 7 error. Grab the latest (I'd go with TWRP as CWM support will be ending soon) version from here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548257 update to the latest one you like (CWM is 6.0.5.0) Load up a ROM and give it a go. I put all my ROMs on an external card to be safe. Maybe do that and then just install from such.
p,s. CM installer never works, I dont think our tabs are compatible with it. At least I've never got it to work. But, you dont need it anyways.

[Completed] [q] two recovery sofware in my samsung gt-n7000

I had rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 recently using Philz Touch5 CWM v6.0.3.2 and then I decided to put custom ROM OMNI nightly 4.4.4 -2014/09/09 to have android KITKAT 4.4.4 and I read on some threads that a minimum of CWM v6.0.4.4 and above is required to have KITKAT so I again had flashed or put Philz CWM v6.41.6 and then put OMNI ROM. Now KITKAT is working fine but then I try to backup KITKAT so that I can switch to Stock ROM and Custom Rom whenever I feel like but then while booting up the recovery software was changed by itself and then I show that I have two recovery Software- Clockworkmod and TeamWinRecovery. So problem is I had backed up the new custom Rom but that is done by TWRP whereas stock Rom was through CWM so a big problem is when I want to switch the two ROM. If both the ROMs were done by same recovery then must have been better but now I have to loose either of the two ROM's data then there is no meaning of backup :crying:
i also had installed ROM manager Please help... any advice would be very thankful. and sorry i wrote lengthy but i wanted to describe in precise way

I think it's not an issue.
If you want to go back to stock rom, flash cwm recovery and then restore the cwm nandroid backup.
If you want to restore the Kitkat rom, flash TWRP recovery and then restore the TWRP backup.
And in philz-touch cwm recovery you can set the default backup format to TWRP.
Check [PhilZ-cwm6][n7000] Stock Kernel+CWM6+Root+exFAT+NTFS-LTA thread for details.

Restoring the old backup also didnt work
Sir if I first root the stockrom android 4.1.2 by CWM Base v6.0.3.2 which is Philz Touch 5 and then reinstall a higher version CWM v6.0.4.4 and above then do i need to reboot into recovery again or what all must I do like wiping etc?? literally it must be like upgrading CWM versions. I am just a beginner so have multiple doubts:angel: And Sir I made 2 backups of stockROM one by CWM and other by ROMmanager but the backup by CWM says error while restoring at final end and restoring backup of ROMmanager does restore but there is no Setting Menu and some menus after restoration. Main problem is without Setting Menu!
Sir I am thinking to reflash the stockROM through ODIN by PC so please guide me as to how can I use one Single Recovery Software either CWM or TWRP and then again backup both the stockROM and KITKAT customROM so that I can latter switch to either of the two ROM when I want.
Again sir thankyou for the previous help and I do want ur valuable guide here too

I have already linked the FAQ thread for your device. Please read and ask there.
Maybe flashing back a stock firmware, rooting, backup and then flashing the Kitkat ROM again is a good idea.
Here is the Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 > Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General > [STOCK ROMS] N7000 All stock ROMs + install + Root guide All at 1place,Latest 4.1.* thread which explains nearly everything you need.
Additionally, here is a detailed rooting guide: Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 > Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General > [24sept12]How to Root/Unroot Samsung Galaxy Note + CWM
I have found a useful guide to flash Kitkat to your device: Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 > Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General > [Guide] A guide to KitKat
And concering Kitkat installation, you can ask directly in this thread.
And please ask further questions in the threads of your device specific forum ... there you will get quicker and proper help :fingers-crossed:

[Q] XT1039 Working Recovery // Back to StockROM

Hi frinds!
Yesterday I flashed CM12 on my XT1039.
- unlook bootloader
- testing some recoverys (CWM / CWM Touch / CWM philz / TWRP 2.7 + 2.8)
- made two backups (from CWM philz / TWRP 2.8)
- finaly flashed recovery (TWRP 2.8)
- clean install CM12
So far, so god..
CM12.. Very nice work so far!!! To me at the moment a little to buggy, so I want to go back to stock ROM.
Some questions:
1.) What recovery works most stable? I had some problems with all of them. I flashed TWRP, it stuck at bootlogo about two minutes?!?!
2.) I've tried to flash stockROM from here, I've tried different downloads.. Anytime: flashing failed! Any idea's, why flashing these zip not works?
3.) o.k., so I've restored my backup. Now I see in PlayStore an update for the Motorola Update Service, in discription is written: ..needed for the coming update to Android 5.0.. BUT!!!!!!! --> PlayStore says: not compatible with my device?!?!?!
What is wrong there?! Maybe flashing an "absolut clean" StockROM (Point 2) can help?
thanks for your help!

[Q] Can't Install Slimkat : Status Error 7

Hi Buddy!
Greetings from a new guy here
Just basic question, few days back I'm trying to Install Slimkat ROM, I've done few steps below :
- Wipe data factory reset
- Wipe chache
- Wipe dalvik
- Format system
- Flash zip from Internal SD Card
But I'm getting status error 7 on installation proccess
I'm trying to Install another ROM (CM 10.3 Official & CM 12 Unofficial) its working just fine
Why I couldn't install Slimkat on my device?
Because you are using an out dated recovery, you need at least cwm 6.0.4.4 because KitKat requires selinux support and older recovery doesn't support it, get it from general section of tab 2 and flash it using existing recovery
Hope it works

Thanks! Its working now
But just wondering, I previously using CWM 6.0.2.8 but I can even install CWM 12 which lolipop based
Why it doesnt work on slimkat which based on kitkat? Kitkat is even lower than lolipop

If you read what I typed carefully, KitKat uses selinux, lollipop doesn't,
So you can use any recovery made for your device to flash a lollipop based ROM,
But anyways people are getting trim bug that causes infinite Boot loop without any reason, that's why our supper hero Andi protects us with patches that prevent those things.

Android version

I wanted to know if it is possible to change the version of android
By cyanogenmod or custom rom
If you could, could you give me a tip
How to do or tutorial something that helps?
First what is your device ? I think everybody have to start somewhere, so I have to know what is your device and see what is available for it.
But similar process for most of the cases ; root your device (try one click root like king root app or if it doesn't work try other methods for your device) then flash a custom recovery (TWRP) , into it you would be able to install (flash) custom Roms , and when it's done, just download the custom ROM , the Gapps according to the custom ROM Android version and your device architecture and then boot to recovery, make a Nandroid backup (backup everything in TWRP) then wipe system, data, cache, and delavik cache , flash the ROM, flash the Gapps and reboot.
But all the process (rooting, custom recovery etc) depends of your device
Is the galaxy lite 3 wanted to put the version
4.4.2 or +
Only that it does not exist nowhere, this custom or cyanogenmod
That's why I came here.
Way of having and making one or modifying it
