I wanted to know if it is possible to change the version of android
By cyanogenmod or custom rom
If you could, could you give me a tip
How to do or tutorial something that helps?
First what is your device ? I think everybody have to start somewhere, so I have to know what is your device and see what is available for it.
But similar process for most of the cases ; root your device (try one click root like king root app or if it doesn't work try other methods for your device) then flash a custom recovery (TWRP) , into it you would be able to install (flash) custom Roms , and when it's done, just download the custom ROM , the Gapps according to the custom ROM Android version and your device architecture and then boot to recovery, make a Nandroid backup (backup everything in TWRP) then wipe system, data, cache, and delavik cache , flash the ROM, flash the Gapps and reboot.
But all the process (rooting, custom recovery etc) depends of your device
Is the galaxy lite 3 wanted to put the version
4.4.2 or +
Only that it does not exist nowhere, this custom or cyanogenmod
That's why I came here.
Way of having and making one or modifying it

Hello to the Forum
I am new on the Forum i do not know exactly how it works Please excuse me
I have a SAMSUNG 8500 with Bada
I would like to suppress Bada and replace it with ANDROID Kitkat 4.4;4
I Tried the procedure listed in the Topic ROM][WIP][NAND] Omni 4.4 - 11.12.2014
i could Flash Bootfiles Startkernel and FOTA with Multiloader
i do not understand the following and I do not want to have my Phone Bricked ! - -
Do I have to proceed the Android recovery immediately after that step Before loading the SDCard ?
ROM means the Android File ? Where can I get this ROM ?
What Does it mean > choose zip with ROM ?
Do you have to set the Phone in - DOWN LOAD MODE to make this procedure - vol low -+ camera + power ?
Thank you in advance for your Help - Georges
I'm not sure about the procedure you followed but did you -
1. Flash a custom recovery.?
2. Wipe data and cache.?
A ROM is the OS (operating system like KitKat lollipop and so on) you need a custom recovery like clockwork mod to flash a ROM. You even need to unlock the boot loader on some phones. It's best if you ask in your device forum. Or such for the stuff I mentioned. I'll list them for you again.
1. Unlocking the boot loader (your phone may not need it too, searching for it over us good)
2. Rooting
3. Custom recovery
4.a ROM (you need a custom ROM to install right.? xD search for cyanogenmod)
MAKE SURE TO PROPERLY BACKUP YOUR STOCK ROM BEFORE FLASHING OTHER ROMS.
Happy flashing and leave a thanks

Multi part question here which, in my mind, are somewhat related.. I've read up on many posts but these questions I still am not totally clear on and would rather not risk bricking trying to experiment....
#1) When a nandroid is taken on a particular firmware (say 4.4.4) and then after upgrading firmware to a different firmware (say 5.0.2) and I encounter a problem where there is no OS left after wiping and failing to install a custom ROM (TWRP will report: no OS installed! are you sure you want to reboot?), can I flash restore the 4.4.4 nandroid and be ok or will I brick because of bootloader incompatibility [I come from motorola phones recently - this is my first HTC]?
#2) When adding additional ROMs to multiROM do the ROMs have to be of the same firmware version? Moreover, can multiROM have a sense ROM as it's primary ROM and a GPE ROM as a secondary ROM and vice versa?
( FYI - as of this posting I still have yet to successfully boot my secondary ROM using multiROM - I can successfully install mod'd TWRP, the manager, and the patched kernel but something is eluding me - anyone with a link to a very simplified and step by step procedure on installing mulitRoom would be appreciated. I thought I had enough understanding [of the procedures I could find anyways] but apparently not, as I obviously can not get secondary Rom to boot.) I'm able to add the ROM in TWRP but when I reboot, the ROM is not listed after pressing cancel and going to the multiROM boot screen, there is simply nothing there.
#3) Re: multirom - When I reboot into the mod'd TWRP recovery and flash gapps (or any zip file for that matter) how do I know which ROM the zip is being applied to (ie: primary or secondary)?
Feel free to answer as many or as few of the questions as I know it is a lot. Thanks in advance!

You won't brick it.. softbrick/bootloop maybe.. but it's easy enough just to keep a copy of the different firmware zips to flash before restoring that version nandroid.

Much oblige! I assume then what to do would be to NOT reboot to system but to BOOTLOADER and fastboot flash the zip? or would I flash the firmware from TWRP (I thought firmware had to be fastbootRUU flashed)?
thx again

Hello..
I think ist better for you to install a custom recovery frist
after that you can make a nandroid backup using the custom recovery...this is important..because you will messed up..it will event android guru messed up their device once a whaile..
after you have the nandroid backup..you can flash any custom ROM for your devices..to find a devices please use the search bar at the top..
after you gain enough knowlage to build a custom ROM you can compile it for your devices..but for starter I highly recommend you to use any custom ROM for your device first
cherees
Thanks for your reply brother.
hei there, i just bought a new mi4c. and it has been a week.
So i want to share my step on installing custom rom right away from stock.
the step is :
1. Install kingiroot
2. Root your phone using kingiroot
3. Install flashify from playstore
4. grant root for flashify and flash twrp custom recovery to mi4c
5. install reboot recovery from playstore and use the app to enter recovery mode
6. Flash custom recovery from your desired ROM. (in my case, i install custom recovery from xiaomi.eu
7. Install your ROM through the custom recovery
Done.
I've already installed Custom Rom 8.2.1.0 miui.eu Everything work well excepet edge tap (edge control).
do i miss something on my flashing step?
or do i need some later ROM as baseband before installing my desired custom ROM?
For anyone following this, if you want to flash a not miui based custom rom you have to unlock the bootloader with the official tool, otherwise you will brick the device.
If you brick the device flash the oldest firmware you can find(I already had this problem before).
I used Kingo to root my Mi4c and it worked well.
Does not work anymore if you run with Android 7.0
Note: my AV detected Kingo Link as trojan...
I have the Samsung model number gt-p7500R. It's gotten very very slow and I can't update past android 4.0.4. I can't even get most apps because of the Android version. How can I update to a newer android version and maybe help the speed a bit?
Find a Custom Recovery ( like CWM and /or TWRP ) and find a Custom Rom, both suitable to the phone.
Once both found, flash the Custom Recovery and if successful then from within the Custom Recovery flash the Custom ROM.

I'm pretty new and don't know how to do what you suggested. Is there a forum post with step by step instructions?
How to install a custom ROM on your Android Phone to give it a fresh new look
Here's how you can install a custom Android ROM on your phone to change the UI, add new features, and customize it to your liking.
