Hello,
I have been using an Xperia Z and SP.. Now I purchased Z3....
I loved using widgets that allowed me to turn on or off Wifi, GPS, BT, Data etc....
Now I see Xperia Z3 is missing that... Is there a way to get that back - assuming I am using to do anything with ROM ?
Somthing like that I mean:

Why have they taken that away
i noticed it being gone aswell, there are third party apps widgets that'll do the same. i just got used living without it
The control widgets are at Quick Settings.
Click on the "Edit" button, to select more widgets.

Oh, I'm assuming that's for htc sense.. I am using an evo but I'm also using launcherpro. So no sense ui. Thank you for the quick response
Not a widget but I think JuiceDefender can toggle this.
That was a great suggestion. It almost does... but gives me the notification that the apn wont work with my phone. But that is a nice app, thanks for the suggestion. Looking forward to better battery life.
I would also like to know.....

sorry to bring up an old thread but other than what has been suggested has anyone found a widget that can control data on the EVO..... none of the listed items do the trick for me
Switch Pro is the way to go
Work fantastic in my EVO.
Widgetsoid.
It's free, it can toggle lots of settings, and it has three methods for toggling your data connection, including APN rename.
Some apps can switch your data connection on by themselves. Renaming your APNs is the only way to make sure that your data connection stays switched off until you switch it back on yourself..
Switchpro is my favorite but since the latest OTA update, it doesn't quite work properly with 2.3

any1 using this locker? i got some Q..
y i cant chnage wallpaper on my lock screen.
n y no weather info on my lockscreen?
is there a way to remove our x10 default locker?
I really don't understand all of your writing, but anyway:
I used goto several weeks but replaced it by the latest lockbot pro.
I doubt you can delete the original lock screen, as it is used for more running apps on your phone. I read somewhere if you delete the lock screen and reboot you can t enter your pin anymore, as this is the same lock you see.
Goto and lockbot both over write the original lock screen after one time showing the original once. It is in both apps an option which you can check.
In the latest goto you can change background, but not directly from the lock screen. They made a separate app, goto setup I believe its called. You can find it in your program list. There you can change background and select apps for your shortcut.
Hope this will help you.

ya i changed my background under the goto settings.. but still my desired wallpaper is not appearing.
wallpaper
I have the same problem. But it is only in 1.15 version. On v. 1.12 it was OK, until they didnt separate app and settings.
i had the same problem just try un-installing the app and re-install i still can't get the weather to work but i can confirm that the wallpaper works
well, I have to come back at my statement. I just tested now for over a day goto 1.31 and it is still working very well....of course I write this to early but i did not see the original lockscreen anymore but the only thing is your notificationbar can't sroll down anymore after a while. No idea what is the cause of that as it works in the beginning. For me no problem as I don't use it anyway...but keep that in mind when you test it...
1.31 is quicker with unlocking and quicker with opening your shortcuts which you can put in in "goto settings" (different app in your drawer)
Also changing background went well, they finally made it you can resize your wallpaper on your phone so you can just use any picture on your sd card as long it is bigger than 480x854 for great resolution. I have to admit I used google to get it on my phone. I will buy it if it works for over a week. With lockscreens I just want to test it first before purchase as so far nothing worked on the x10 without problems.
Hopefully this one does. So far so good....

I am trying whole day with pics of any resolution and no succes. Help.
i tested some older version before but deinstalled it because i had the feeling it drained battery real fast ...
I've got 1.33, can't really change wallpapers, lock wise its doing a gud job so far.. gonna work on it later!!

Even though i taught I never use the notification bar, it s rather annoying you can't drag it down. My bar is now full of installed signs from updated apps from the market and I can't erase them because of goto... Really shame as lock wise it worked perfect. How is it with version 1.33? does your notification bar keeps working for over an hour?? It stated in the changelog they solved it, but they said that before...
Also it is impossible to get your phone out of airplane mode! so I delete it now and wait for a lock screen app which will work fully on our phone...
@Mobzter: I send you a pm

Notification bar seems to be working fine here.. so far
As for airplane mode.. I think I understand what ya getting at.. my temp solution is using power button to turn screen of that way you can turn plane mode off after you unlock.. although need to do both swipes this way!

thanks, I am dying to test it
Edit: found it with google!, will test it now!
Edit2:
Notification bar seems to be working. I am curious if it still works tomorrow. V1.31 stopped working after a few hours...
Background change is going well as well (use the program Goto Settings from your launcher to set a different background)
Will test it for a few days and report again. There must be a lock screen replacement out there working for our phone without trouble!
Edit3: after lots of tests I can confirm the notification bar issue is solved, version 1.33 works good on my x10!
Cheers,
Arnold
I have v1.33 as well. I love how you can prevent the volume and camera keys from waking the phone! That was my biggest issue with these lock replacements. You can also disable the home key from "skipping" the lockscreen. Weather isn't showing and haven't tried changing wallpapers yet. For me, the lockscreen is quite quick, and I haven't seen the original lockscreen yet. I haven't noticed any battery drain, so looks like the phone is sleeping properly. Looks like GOTO is getting it right!
My weather is working, I also do believe they have it right this time...indeed a relieve you can disable the volume and camera keys to unlock...

You have an extra app in your launcher called: GOTO SETTINGS
There you can change wallpaper, set your shortcuts, enter your name and lock the volume and camera button for waking up.
n there's nothing in there to do with weather.. unless you're apk is special? lol

mine too nothing related to weather in this settings.
Turns out my Phone has Froyo 2.2.1 and I won the lottery with it since some apps of mine delete all their settings. So I have SwitchPro Widget and it's amazing, not because of the widgets, but because of all the stuff i could control. The problem is since some apps lose their settings well my widgets in switch pro go blank every once in a while, and that sucked... a lot.
Anyways, can someone please point me to an app that can turn on screen permanently, and do all the stuff SwitchPro did, or most of it? I figure, an app cant go blank, only widgets. And since those are system tools theres no way an app could give me further troubles.
Use quick settings from market.
What I'd like to do is rip out anything that refers to the "phone" side of Android on my NS4G (it's off contract now). Get rid of the Phone app, Messaging, the Emergency Dialer on the lock screen, the Airplane Mode indicator, the mobile networks/4G/etc options in Settings, that kind of thing. How can I do it?

Why do all that?
Just put it on airplane mode and be done with it.
Get a good launcher so u can just hide the apps u don't want to look at in the app drawer and customize ur home screen to show no phone apps.
Then u will have plenty of space to install media stuff... music, movies games and pictures.
This is just the easiest and less complex way to do it...
Good luck

Ehh. I figured it would be a cool experiment. So I actually got to, you know, experimenting, and I wound up ripping pretty much everything phone-related out of my ROM, save for the ringtone volume in the volumes widget (it's not gonna ring if there's no service). Also, I modified my Settings.apk to remove a bunch of phone-related options. It didn't go perfectly, but it's a start I guess. I might come back to it later and fix it up so certain menu options don't crash.
Also, does anyone know if there's any way to remove the Airplane Mode icon from the status bar?
Well , everytime when i press the middle button my wallpaper gets really big and i have to set it again everytime, it`s pretty annyoing. That problem accured when i tried the ''Easy start'' and i didn`t like it then i switch to the normal Xperia Home . Restarting doesn`t fix the problem.
How can i fix it ?
Did you try uninstalling Easy Start? I am not sure if it is the same one, but I had a launcher that was still messing up after switching back to the Xperia Home. Uninstalling it fixed the troubles.
How to uninstall since it was in my phone before that.

How was it in your phone already? Did you buy it second hand? I've got only Xperia Home and Simple Home.
Anyway, to uninstall it you should be able to find the icon in the Xperia Home's drawer. From there select Uninstall from the left panel and click on the X on "Easy Start" icon.

I think simple and Easy start are the same things just a bit different names...On mine says easy and it`s brand new not second hand.
Go to: Settings->Home and select Xperia Launcher. Now for zooming, go to Accessibility and disable Magnification gesture. Hope that fix your problem
