Screen Wallpaper Problem - Sony Xperia M2

Well , everytime when i press the middle button my wallpaper gets really big and i have to set it again everytime, it`s pretty annyoing. That problem accured when i tried the ''Easy start'' and i didn`t like it then i switch to the normal Xperia Home . Restarting doesn`t fix the problem.
How can i fix it ?

Did you try uninstalling Easy Start? I am not sure if it is the same one, but I had a launcher that was still messing up after switching back to the Xperia Home. Uninstalling it fixed the troubles.

How to uninstall since it was in my phone before that.

How was it in your phone already? Did you buy it second hand? I've got only Xperia Home and Simple Home.
Anyway, to uninstall it you should be able to find the icon in the Xperia Home's drawer. From there select Uninstall from the left panel and click on the X on "Easy Start" icon.

I think simple and Easy start are the same things just a bit different names...On mine says easy and it`s brand new not second hand.

Go to: Settings->Home and select Xperia Launcher. Now for zooming, go to Accessibility and disable Magnification gesture. Hope that fix your problem

[Q] Download system apps?

I updated to lolipop, rooted and unlocked BL and some things are missing, most notably the nvidia power control. Pretty sure my tab is stuck in low performance/battery saving mode and the settings page to go to performance or whatever is no longer present.
So I was wondering if there was a place I can get the apps, or if any rooted users can pull them off theirs and share them.
I have the 16gb wifi.

Did you hard reset after updating?
Need to ftr.
Also, menu has changed on L5, add a settings widget to your home screen for power saving, there is soc menu.

I have only done normal reboots since updating, it did not freeze or restart during the update if thats what you meant.
I don't know what the issue is, but lots of apps broke across the update. Things like facebook give me -506 error not installing but the apk is still in /data/app.

I've heard FB has some kind of issue that some recommend to uninstall for time being.
I mean a hard reset, not a reboot. Go into settings, back up & reset, wipe all. You will lose everything, back up what you want save.
Always a good idea to wipe when doing a large update such as L5, and especially L5.

Power Control is hidden on Lollipop.
Go to Home Screen and add a witget for settings, then select Power Saving for the option. That should bring you the original Shield Power Control.

USB charging not working

Hello guys,
Lately my Xperia M2 is good with wall chargers. The problem is when i connect it to usb charging, the phone lights up, charging starts. I can even see my phone connected. But after few minutes charging stops.
All the drivers are installed.
What could be the problem?
Try to go to Settings/Xperia Connectivity/USB Connection (or whatever they are in English). Disable "Install software" and select MTP.
I dunno. When I had just bought the phone I couldn't charge it from my Mac either (so no drivers related). messing with those parameters fixed it.
I did the same thing. Actually it's my setting since I connected my phone for the first time. Recently I've been using Xposed Xperia by Serajr. Encountered a couple of hiccups here and there. It has extra quick settings in which you can add a quick toggle to change mtp to msc and vice versa. Although it doesn't actually work. When i hold that toggle and menu opens, boom it's working.
Do you think this error might be because of this?

Disable Xposed, reboot, try. It's very possible it's Xposed fault. I'm not using Xposed coz it makes more trouble than good, and usually you can make all modification on your own.

I uninstalled GravityBox. Since then my phone is working pretty fast. You might be right about xposed. But what modifications can i make on my own?

Everything that can be done with Xposed. I added reboot option in power menu, center clock, change colors etc. It's not that easy like with Xposed, but much safer and better.

And how did you do it? A little guideline would be good.

I'd love to know about it as well. Also, any chance to get the quick settings in the top row of the notification panel without using Xposed?
@Vtrendzzy
For centering the clock see here, search is your friend here, you'll find all kind of tuts for doing anything
@Miche1asso
You probably need to edit some layout in SystemUI but I haven't got time to play with M2 lately. I'll have a look
Ahhh! So you mean to decompile the apk, modify some XML files, recompile and stuff like that?
Thanks, but no, thanks. I made a theme and just to change the text colors in the XML files drove me mad.

Yes there is. You can either have no drawer or a drawer icon. I'll let you discover how in settings.
Go to settings then display and turn on easy stand
Easy stand? Haven't seen that yet...
I think I didn't explain myself correctly, I want to get rid of the Text message that scrolls from time to time and keep the swipe...
same issue

Driving me crazy as well. I'm either going to go back to Nova Pro or I'm going to turn on the app tray icon.

I remember that it's some built in "help and tips " app but I don't remember what it's exactly called. In it you can disable all these annoying hints.

Really hope so, 2 days of use 1 reboot to install the update.... Still there...
Hello, I have figured this out after searching and coming up empty. It was annoying me too.
Press and hold on the home screen like you're going to add a widget. Click 'home screen settings'. Click apps button and choose 'show apps button'
The swipe motion will still work to open the apps.
Take care

Use the Samsung members app. Log in and use the device management in there to clean ram and storage. It stopped for me after using that.
Just enable and apply the Apps Button, then disable and apply the Apps Button and it will go away.
use nova launcher,done,never appears.
Just got a new replacement device after a cracked screen and the "swipe up Or down on screen for all apps" won't go away on home screen. Never an issue on my old device. Does anyone have any new details on this besides a work around?
I will go away in a week or so. Mine was driving me nuts and it went away without me doing anything.
Just scroll up or down through the app/home screen 20-30 times in a row and it will go away. It was driving me nuts and I found this discussion. Saw it was going away after a certain amount of time so I scrolled through it a ton and it was gone. Lol.
Reboot
I went through the swiping up and swiping down and it still showed the message after. But then I shut down the phone and powered it on and it was gone. Just like another user mentioned.

Swipe between home and app - gone?

With update 47.1.A.12.75 I noticed that swiping between Home screen and application screen no longer exists. You are forced to use 'circle' or the 'app'-button.

My bad. But the update changed my setting. :-|
I had the apps-icon AND the swipe before. Now you have either the icon OR the swipe.

Use them once, swipe from one of the corners up to the middle and the assistant gets activated. Ask it something and close again. It should be gone after that. If not, change your controls to the gestures left and right and do the same again. After that change the controls/gestures tot the one you like.
Let me know if this works , good luck
Thank you, now i know that it has to do with google assistant. I tried to swipe up from the bottom corner but it didn't worked even though the system gestures are set to left and right. They also didn't disappeard after i deactivated it in the assistant settings.
Dont know why but i used the left and the right hook, and after that it dissapeared
