So i broke the lcd and touchscreen on huawei y200 , and i want to repair it.
Huawei y200 has 3.5 inch lcd and touchscreen , is it posible to add 4 or 4,5 inches , and will it funciton if i find the right lcd and touchscreen that has the same connector as on the phone itself, and i want to make my own enclousre for him with a steel plate.
So if it work il make a bigger enclousure ,that will have 4 or 4.5 inch screen.
Info : Huawei original screen is 320 x 480 pixels, 3.5 inches (~165 ppi pixel density)
Hi. If your phone is still disassembled could you please make some pictures (as close as possible) of the parts/are around the connector for the touch. I have one Huawei Y200 with broken touch, but seems someone before me also has do some soldering there and now probably 2 components are missing. I need to find them and to repair it.
Here it is the pictures of my phone with markings of the missing parts https://7f020756c0196483ec34f0310fe6c795263a2e5c.googledrive.com/host/0B2QjEYFkNvr2b2RMMW53aENoWlk/

hi everyone
I need to ask something that i was unable to find answer on internet or Google searching. I come straight to the point. It's basically a general thing about devices that i found different in aspect of screen resolution and i couldn't find difference.
There is one Android device which gives resolution of 540*960 on a 5inch LCD and there is an Android phone which gives 1080*1920 resolution on 5.1 inch LCD like S5 AND 1440*2560 resolution on 5.1 inch LCD.
I want to ask what is the difference that these resolution gives, i am currently using 540*960 resolution phone and what difference i would note by using 1080*1920 resolution? will thing appear small on it?
For example on a home screen, i have a gadget of weather, will it appear more smaller? because i didn't get the difference of resolution and their result difference.

firstly i can guess by the post that you are a noob but would like to help you change to pro so here it goes
the difference are
420*320 and below ldpi-small- 2-3inches - packed with 100 to 150 ppi screen
470*320and below IS mdpi - normal- 3 to 4.2 inches - packed with upto 200ppi
640*480and up IS hdpi- large-4.2 to 7 inches - packed with 200 to 300ppi
920x720and up IS qhdpi- extra large- more than 7 inches - packed with >300ppi
if that's unclear to you

i am sorry if i sounded noob but i was unaware of these things. I was just wondering what's the difference of resolutions when the screen size is same.
From your post what i got was, that it is basically the PPI thing, which makes screen more bright and colorful etc. so more PPI is based on more resolution or pixels.
I am currently using Huawei G610s and it has 640*480 with 220ppi. I thought that resolution is same as in case of computers, the more resolution the more smaller the pixel and picture size and more desktop area. I am currently using 1680*1050. So i thought in same context and was wondering and thought to ask.

firstly ppi refers to the pixels per inch
it in simple words is how tightly pixels are packed in a sq inch of area on the screen . the more the ppi count the smaller each pixel gets providing you with sharper and intense quality display
also if you did not search api guidelines on google
i am here to help you
here go ahead and just go through the detailed version and i think it will solve almost all of your query

don't forget to hit thanks :good:
Now. Don't get concerned on how you sound. We were all like that at some point. The resolution that you have probably is around 200 DPI (depending on screen size) My phone (Xperia SP) has a 4.6 inch 1024 x 720 display AKA 720p display. In person, how they look actually matters. Anything above 300ppi is crisp and extremely sharp. A Samsung galaxy s5 has a PPI of around 400. These numbers don't really matter but if you see them in person, they really look nice. Hope I helped you.

Is Star N9330 Digitizer compatible with ZUUM N9330 Cell Phone?
Hi guys, I purchased a cell phone on Ebay that works perfectly, but the protective glass is broken. I was hoping to purchase the repair part, and fix it. Only problem is that I have not been able to find replacement Glass/Digitizer for my model in particular.
However, after some research, I found a cell phone that looks exactly the same as my phone. Going by the specs, it even has the same screen dimensions. But from what I have read, same dimensions is no guarantee of compatibility. I am posting pictures of my Zuum N9330 (broken, and when is new), and pictures of similar Star N9330 phone. Also a picture of the Star N9330 glass/Digitizer..
My Zuum phone is MT6589.
The posted description for the candidate Glass/Digitizer is: "5.5 inch Star N9330 Original Touch Screen Digitizer/Replacement for N9330 mtk6577 5.5" Touch Panel"
I thought that a possible solution is to purchase it and connect digitizer to phone just to test response. If it works, good. If it doesn't, then detach glass form digitizer, and use only the glass.
Please help with suggestions or comments.
Thank you guys.

Well, I think I found the final answer to my own question. After much Internet search I found a clue on one of the digitizers selling on the Internet. The Information posted is the following:
"Original Star N9389 Front Panel Touch Glass Lens Digitizer Screen Blue for 5.5 inch N9330 FWVGA 854*480 Phone FREE SHIPPING"
The webpage is on Ali Express website. I found it using "digitizer star n9330" as key words on the Bing search engine, to view all images that Bing displays.
This item is no longer available, but the information was valuable.
My last doubt had to do with the screen resolution, and this web page refers to the specific screen resolution of my Zuum cell phone.
I installed the AnTuTu tester application and found out that my LCD resolution is 480 x 854. Therefore, I conclude that both parts must be compatible, or the same.
I'm no expert on cell phone displays, but my guess is that the resolution of the LCD is probably much higher than the resolution of the digitizer. Since the tolerance for touch location on LCD screen does not have to be super accurate. But the fact that the info posted mentions my specific LCD resolution is an additional reason to conclude that both parts are the same.
hello guys, on my alcatel idol 3 (6045k) glass has been broken, that is a little part above lcd .lcd work fine, but lower part of touchscreen doesn't work at all.
what i need to replace?
especially compared to the oneplus5t
thx

According to the gsm areana site (which is usually pretty accurate for this sort of stuff), the full spec details for each of these models are as follows:
OnePlus 6:
External Dimensions: 7.5 mm thickness (no data on length and height as of yet, until officially announced, but the screen size may give you some idea)
Screen Size: 6.28 inches, 98.4 cm2
Resolution: 1080 x 2280 pixels, 19:9 ratio (~402 ppi density)
https://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_6-9109.php
OnePlus 5T:
Dimensions: 7.5 mm thickness
Screen Size: 6.01 inches, 93.7 cm2 (~80.0% screen-to-body ratio)
Resolution: 1080 x 2160 pixels, 18:9 ratio (~401 ppi density)
https://www.gsmarena.com/oneplus_5t-8912.php
As you can see the thickness of both phones appears to be the same, however the screen size is not. (the screen on the OnePlus 6 looks like it will be bigger than the OnePlus 5T). Though bear in mind if they're doing the whole full screen with notch thing, that doesn't necessarily mean that the external dimensions will change. So for that, we'll just have to wait and see.
If you could have the dimensions any way you wanted them though, what would you ideally be hoping they would be?

Yeah, I hope they don't get too much bigger either, I think plus sized smartphones are already slightly larger than the ideal size for carrying anyway. And if they go any bigger, they might as well be full blown tablets. But smartphones with a big enough screen whilst still being able to carry them in a jeans pocket comfortably without it bulging to the extent where it either digs in or just looks like I'm just pleased to see ya, is ideally the way I prefer them to be.
So, I have recently bought a used (and abused looks like) Pixel 4a and the display on that phone is pretty much dead, but the rest of the phone is okay.
Ideally, I'd like to repair and use it, so I need a replacement display.
In the past I've had good luck with Ali-express displays that have some minor defects, like a dead pixel or two but it doesn't seem like those exist for this model, or at least not yet.
I'd love to save a few if I can find a display of lesser quality or a used one so does anyone have any suggestions?
Also, warranty repair is not really an option as I live in a country where Google doesn't officially sell pixels. I had this one imported from the UK and quite frankly I have no idea of the history of it.

Thanks for the reply. I've considered ifixit, especially in light of recent announcements but unfortunately they don't have these from their EU store and they don't ship outside of the USA. I've thought about shipping by proxy but at that point it'll be more expensive than ordering a brand new display from China.
