Xperia E dual possible tweaks? - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

hi,
I own an Xperia E dual phone. I realize after I bought that the camera quality is not really good and viewing videos like youtube makes my head giddy. Are they ways to "tweak" or "optimize" the pics and video quality anymore than what it already is "capable" of?
thanks

Hi! if your phone is rooted you may get better choices, if its rooted then you should check #DanielFlorin's Camera style here
don't forget to thank the guy

[Q] considering to buy

Hello,
I'm considering to switch my XJ to an XL,
how is the front camera's quality from Xperia L?
and how many multi-touch points does the Xperia L have?
What do you guys think?
I can either re-take my Xperia J or take an Xperia L

I can imagine the performance increasing huge, when coming from xperia j, as it has 0.5GB more ram and 1 more core than Xperia Jlo,
Xperia J also had BAD multitouch support, only 2 fingers max, which was KILLING me.
but I guess front camera will stay **** then... well I guess i'll have to deal with it.
The front camera is an epic fail in low light,,but in High light,,The VGA capture photos look like HD720p ..

I would only tell you to just go ahead and buy it. It is actually a very good device. Excellent gaming, very fast and good screen size. The only drawback is lack of development. I am currently in contact with developers and I can assure you by the end of January we will have a lot of custom ROMS. Multi touch points arenot really used. I guess it has 4 or 5. My Nexus supports over ten but I can tell you i never used more than three together since I am using android (2009).
You can also read my guide about : BUYING NEW DEVICE in my signature. I believe that will be really helpful to make your mind.
If I were you, I will prefer XL over XJ any day!
Good Luck.

1) As far as I know, there's a not-so-bad chance that the Moto G will get Android L.
2) It's mainly because of the low quality built-in camera app. It's better to use an alternative camera app to take better pictures.

[Q] Will Custom ROMs allow the Lollipop Camera API to work?

Today was a day of bad news. I just read this article and apparently the Lollipop update does not bring the new camera API to the Xperia Z1/2/3 series. I could cry!
Now I was wondering, since Custom ROMs can alter so much for a device, whether they can enable the camera API even though Sony doesn't. It would be awesome if there's a developer who could manage to do this - if at all possible of course. I was planning on making a video of these potential new camera controls, but I was surprised to see that Sony just didn't allow the API to be used (I don't know the technical details so correct me if I'm wrong about the actual phrasing there).
Do you have any thoughts on this? Are you a developer, and do you have any experience with this or similar APIs? I for one have no idea if it can be made to work with the Xperia Z1/2/3's camera at all. I'd love to know! :highfive:

I'm not entirely impressed with the camera either, and can't believe we have waited this long for Sony to release the lollipop update, which not only doesn't improve the camera, but its also just 5.0.. i thought the whole delay in the lollipop update was due to the initial quirks in the 5.0 build meaning they would roll out 5.1?
At this point in the game with the competition you cannot be releasing flagships marketed as the worlds best camera which is actually very mediocre. I'm truly disappointed in Sony and will likely not be holding on to my Z3 for much longer.
As it stands, have you tried the 20mp SuperiorAuto xposed module? I have seen quite a significant improvement, if you can live with the occasional crashes...

Dual Video Recording - Sony Xperia Z3?

Hi guys,
As stated above question, does Sony Xperia Z3 / Sony's flagship phones has dual video recording or dual video call feature?
LG & Samsung flagships have this feature, does Sony has this?
Please don't hate my question, I've already searched for threads or posts but no results found.
Thanks & best regards.

Wow, that's a relief!
I really want that feature, able to capture yourself and others at the same time.
Dual video call means when using skype, your contact may able to see your face and rear camera at the same time.
Thanks for clarifying! Thanks +1 given :good:

Do you have any game crashing issues with Sony Xperia Z3?
I'm planning to buy Z3, and Sony Smartphones tended to crash more often on games even in online gaming, is that true?
Will you recommend Z3 for gaming?

As i am always honest.
I dont know, because i am casual gamer (temple run, duet, or some sort of puzzle gamer) i dont have time nor will to play massive 3D games on phone, especially online.
But i can assure you i never had problems playing games on my older Xperias which include (Xperia Z1, Xperia S, Xperia Arc/s, Xperia Neo)
So my honest opininion this word "tends" to crash more is not suintable on whole Xperia Lines, its suintable to individuals who mods their phone a lot.
On stock Sony Rom, i forgot how "force close" popup looks like, i never had it on Z3 nor Z1.

Sounds good, coz I'm a heavy gamer.
On my previous Samsung Galaxy Phones, I always root my phone to be able to use apps like Lucky Patcher, Gameguardian, modded Apk's with OBB,
Freedom, in short, I install these apps for hacking games & to install apps that requires root like greenify, seeder, etc etc.
I rooted my phone but still using my stock rom, I never installed a custom rom.
My question, is it ok to root Xperia Z series? You said problems arise for those people who mod their phone, but all I want is just to root the phone. :fingers-crossed:

It is ok to root it, but for example greenify is useless because you have stamina and ultra stamina, if you combine them, they could make problems. So there is no point of this app, for seeder i dont know what is it.
Its simply like this, take every phone on this world, if it is stock it will work as company intended, take it and modify it, there is a chance to make it unstable.
I were like you before in days of (Xperia Neo, Arc, S) then when i bought Z1 i modified and then went back to Stock. And i found out stock works the best.

Greenify it' s not useless, it is not the same thing with Stamina.

Should I buy Sony Xperia Z5 Compact or LG Nexus 5X?

Hello,
I'm still confused; I'm planning to buy a new smartphone and I doubt between these two devices:
Xperia Z5 Compact by Sony
and Nexus 5X by LG & Google.
Both devices has matt color and feeling which is great for me.
The Nexus 5x is a Google supported phone so it receives always as first new updates and has zero bloatware pre-installed in the phone.
On the other hand we have the Sony which has great camera, nice Sony UI (I love Xperia keyboard, Xperia SMS app and the Sony Music player).
Who can help me to decide?
Thanks in advance:good:

As a Nexus 5X daily user I can say the device is phenomenal. The experience is very smooth. The camera is also quite good talking vivid high quality pictures. AOSP messaging on the Nexus 5X is quite nice and the keyboard is a good experience. The hesitation with the Z5 is the Snapdragon 810, which has had numerous issues since it's introduction. However if you intend to use more then 32 GB of storage (26 formatted capacity) the Z5 is better because of its expandable storage. Let me know if you have any more questions happy to help you out !
