1) As far as I know, there's a not-so-bad chance that the Moto G will get Android L.
2) It's mainly because of the low quality built-in camera app. It's better to use an alternative camera app to take better pictures.

Simple question: new Nexus 4 or used Xperia Z (condition: noticeably used, but without big scratches, ~7/10)?
If you could, please write pros/cons. I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks.

Well with 13mp camera & 1920*1080 screen resolution u should obviously go with Xperia Z. But like u said its second hand please make sure it free from scratches and working properly.

If you want quick Android OS updates and vanilla user interface and lots of custom ROM development projects at XDA, then Nexus 4. But I've heard if the phone heats up regularly there is possible chance to get the backside cracked as its made of glass. Just enquire about it before purchasing.
Xperia Z has a good screen, good quality camera, nice UI, and also has the option for microSD card slot. And it also has great development support here at XDA. But only chose it, if the phone is in good state without any hardware faults or screen faults.

On this budget, the 2nd-gen Moto G would also be my choice. Great support by Motorola (regarding updates), easy to get, good reviews, 5 inch screen, etc. Other phones that cheap often come with major disadvantages, e.g., lack of HD resolution or horrible battery life. An alternative could be a used Nexus 5 phone. If you want to save even more money, you could also look for a 1st gen Moto G.
Best Regards,
Benjamin
I have search alot for an comparison between G Pro 2 and G3's camera, but havent find anything
Wounder if someone here know if there are any test on the web?
I've had both phones and I prefer the GP2 camera. Actually it was one of the reasons why I stayed on the GP2 and sold the G3. Images are more clear on the GP2 camera, especially in low light conditions, while in day light they look the same. Same thing for the videos.

The lollipop update makes video recording terrible especially in low light and interior conditions it,s grainy when with kitkat was wonderful, moreover the mode live effects is missed.

Ok, strange. An idea then is to skip the update and keep the phone running Kitktat?
Maybe using the Camera FV-5 can fix the solution?
Are the Camera FV-5 compatible with G Pro 2?

There are reports that the Samsung S21 has a top notch camera. I do not own the device so I can not confirm first hand. I have the oneplus 6t which has a pretty good camera in my opinion.
