Have any of you gotten QPST to connect to this phone?
I can get the phone to show as a modem in my device manager, but I can't get QPST to connect successfully.
If you got it to work, and can read from and write to the phone what did you do exactly?

QPST is for CDMA phones. It lets you provision the phone. Its the main tool i used to flash verizon and sprint phones to MetroPCS back in the day.
I was wondering if it was CDMA only. I searched google but couldn't really find an answer.

Has anyone successfully got a Sprint Sanyo Zio onto Boost? I have a Zio and want to see if it's possible. As far as the meid/esn repair, does anyone know of another method other than searching memory locations with cdmaws and qxdm? I've tried EFS Explorer (qpst) but after entering the spc and trying to read the phone I get a message saying the file system is not supported or something like that. Any thoughts?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S I500 I want to flash over to straight talk I have the CDMA Workshop not sure how to use it either I'm a noob if I could get my phone in DM mode I would be good but I cant even get that far any help on this would very appreciated thanks in advance.

Hi, I've searched high and low, here and there, without result. Is there a way to tell what carrier a phone is flashed to? I have CDMA workshop and QPST.
Many thanks,

I'm currently new to the xda forums, so I applogize in advance if i am posting in the wrong thread. But I currently recieved a samsung sph-d710 that was on sprint from a freind. I currently have a samsung galaxy reverb from virgin mobile that currently has service, and I've been reading around different forums and faqs about flashing phones to other carriers and was wondering if there was any way i could get this phone to work with my virgin mobile account. I know that virgin mobile has had this phone on there service before(my mom has one). And also is it possible for me to somehow rip off the stock virgin mobile android os from her phone? I've browsed around and couldnt find any downloads for the stock virgin mobile os for the phone, so i think this may be the only way for me to get the os. Also how would i go about copying her os system? Do i need to root her phone and create a clockwork mod recovery of her phone, then somehow extract that file to my computer, then use some program to fully flash it over? I'm all very new to the flashing carriers, although i do have basic knowledge of rooting and running custom roms. Does flashing a sprint phone to virgin have to be done with a special program on the computer(i have cdma workshop, but have no clue how to use it). And also even if i was able to flash the phone to virgin mobile, wont the esn still be registered as a sprint phone? Or is the esn device type specific? Also what is prl? Do they need to be updated? I guess in general i'm asking alot of question, but what are the steps to flashing the phone over, what all needs to be changed? If anyone can help answer one or all of these questions i would be forever greatful. Also pointing me to some tutorials would be greatly appreciated :fingers-crossed:
