Yes, it is true, read the annoucement on top of the threads.
This means, no more hosting for the ROMs (released ones of ones created by us) this is a BIG loss as it's always a pain in the neck to great any ROM and will push ROM creation into the illegal zone
I will make my prophet ROMs available somewhere else, details will follow later.

Yeah wellcome back This is good news...
As for "Microsoft's choice".... hope they burn in hell lol well in my perspective they're just trying to finish off those dedicate persons like Jesterz that are working hard to correct Microsoft's software defects...
Hopefully we can all learn from this as I think M$ just reacted to Carrier induced pressure due to lots and lots of customer complaints of bricked devices due to failure to understand ROM upgrade procedures... So please if you are reading this and don't have a clue of how upgrade procedures work, either, don't complain and deal with your bricked device (in a worst case scenario) or don't upgrade at all.

These guys from Redmond shoul learn to respect the work of theyr customers.
We make it possible that they get theyr monthly payment.
I hope we find a way to share our roms and tools any other way.

Yeah.. it's pretty retarded... The only bloody reason I bought an HTC device is cause I knew I could flash the rom for newer AKUs and fixes and stuff... I should've just waited for the damn iPhone.. lol....

I don't get it why you all surrender to this Redmond threats.
Usenets have been around for decades. I am a regular user of Usenets from '95 and I can tell you that their strong arm didn't and probably won't reach there.
Why not simply post your valuable stuff there and leave our cherrished forum clean of any files whatsoever?
Just post to alt.binaries.warez.pocketpc and by the way the kind of stuff we find there is really lacking the quality we got here so the newsgroup might just improve that way.

It's so sad to see how MS is dealing with this situation. I have owned PPC's for some time know, and not until I started having problems first with my universal and recently with my prophet that I got into this community. This web site is the best thing that has happened to MS and HTC. I have singed Jester's petition to MS. I know that if this happens I shall go to PALM o iPhone. History teaches us nothing.
It is not by taking the ROM archive dowm that MS can stop ROMs from going around!
Why don't they simply try to release ROMs that WOULD NOT require any interventions from the final user instead.
Looks like the "prohibitionism" has taught these guys nothing at all.
i suggest we can use http://www.mydatabus.com host to share our roms. (up to 5 G space pro person and stable).
Rapidshare, megaupload, uploading...etc are not good solutions for us to download and exchange file. Because it will be deleted in limited times.

it is yourself's private storage space, it depends on you, if delete a file or not. but when you want to share the file, you must make it public.

I came into this forum a couple of weeks back with a bricked prophet G4 & a O2 XDA Exec(UK). Since then not only i have been able to restore my prophet ,I have been able to learn a lot abt PPC as a whole. Its a shame that M$ feels thereatened by this forum as we have done nothing wrong except to give people choice!!! Isn't it our right to choose & develop??? Who's MS to stop us?? Yes I am noob, new to these sites.Thank you to the guys who were actually helpfull with their posts, shabicht inpaticular thank you for the link. With my inexperiance I was unsure of where to appropriatly search for the right info. I figured that being as how I discovered the link on THIS SITE in the first place that I'd start by looking for help on THIS SITE. However all that I received were and very un-helpfull replys,there must be a lot of bored people out there with nothing better to do then to insult someone with little experiance in this area looking for some help.
I only paid $11 for the theme, addmitadly after receiving some actuall helpfull advice from others I did discover that there are better ways to improve my device.
I'm not sure how this site usually works,the site was recomended to me. I'm disapointed to see the amount of rude remarks I received when simply looking for a helping hand.

The company has been sold to Intermorphic Ltd and they are reworking MiniMixa and re-branding it Mixtikl and you can find info about it here. I read in there blog that they are trying for an October release date.

This is a great app, am getting an ipod touch just for this program ( even though I love my HTC I would spend the cash for this app.
Search google for a Z4, it's a beat making program for pocketpc...i have it but it's back at home on my desktop computer but im in college so there's no way for me to send it

Anything else out there that is more current? Mixtikl seems to be in Beta at the moment and the other programs are clearly on there last legs or lack a true VGA skin.
This seems to be where new Winmo devices should shine outside of the capacitive touch and screen size of the IP.. That Iphone is churning out some cool tools, but the hardware is approaching its limits where our phones have room to grow (tabbed programs, RAM, memory, storage)...

So anything you rip off another phone is illegal, how come we do it with alot of stuff on here... then again what do i care /ripriprip
The problem with this is that it's the map data mostly. When I was on Windows Mobile, we had the same problem with Microsoft Voice Command. Even though it came with most WM phones, you weren't aloud to share the .cab (equivalent to .apk) file for it. In fact, cooking roms with it was kinda frowned upon. The problem was the licensing, because Microsoft actually charged for the app, for the few phones that came without it (the manufacturer had the option to use it, I'm guessing they decided to just pay for it to have it come loaded). Even when TomTom came out with a "trial" for one specific WM phone, the cracked program wasn't allowed on XDA, even though cracking it just made it possible to use it on other phones...... You still had to buy the maps from TomTom for the phone..... It's all just a CYOA policy, and it's what makes sure XDA won't be shut down!
So I guess the question is: if I am able to find the.apk, would it work on my inc. Has there been any success stories?
It would certainly be interesting to find out. I remember someone in the past had made a GPS Phone based off Windows Mobile. I can't remember who offhand, but I'd think it would be more profitable for them to release the software for a reasonable price than to offer it only on their phone, which who knows how much they're really making off it. I mean it comes down to profit, but I'd think that considering my DInc came with built in Nav for free, and is a much better phone, why pay a premium for a phone with GPS, when you can get a better *phone* and add GPS software for a minimal cost (or use the FREE one included!). Just my thoughts though.....

Are you talking about a game for a phone or for a gaming console? Either way, the first thing you should always keep in mind when on the internet is that you're never completely safe. There are always people or companies trying to game you. I'd be careful submitting any personal information on that site, but there is a very low risk that there are any Android-specific malwares that you could get just by visiting the website. Just be an avid internet user and don't be stupid, and that should get you through most things. Treat the internet like everyone's trying to get you.

It's for my phone, and the hack has a download button for me to click on. You click on the download button for the hack.
That website looks really sketchy. I wouldn't trust it at all. Web of Trust gives it a very poor rating for trustworthiness. Little to no information is given about the hacks, and the hack page for every game looks nearly identical. The program also looks identical. Looks like a virus to me. I wouldn't download it or run it if I were you.
edit: Additionally, an anti-spam website blacklisted that hack site for the reason "Fake Content."
