I have two LG G2 D800's with what I think are factory defaults.
One has a yellow spot of dead pixels and one has large touch dead zones.
I was getting ready to send them to LG under warranty because an AT&T rep told my Dad that AT&T did not fulfill manufacture warranties.
Then I found out about AT&T device support centers and saw that the D800 is featured.
I called my local device support center and they have 3 "certified like new" devices.
I'm going to hopefully exchange them today since they were both purchased on the 13th of last year.
Has anyone exchanged a D800 at an At&t device support center?
How did the "certified like new" (refurbished) G2 work out?
Thanks

Been having problems our titans since we bought them. I know some of you have contacted sprint to get a sweet deal on touch pros and I am wondering what I should do now. Emailed sprint, the following is there reply. What should I do now? Should I email again?
Thank you for contacting Sprint. I understand your concern regarding
the handset and will be glad to assist you regarding the same.
The handset can only be replaced within the 30-day return period from
the date of activation of the handset. As the 30-day period is over it
would not be possible to replace the handset.
However, the handset is under one year manufacturer warranty. You can
get the handset checked at the nearest Sprint repair center. You can
locate the nearest Sprint repair center by clicking on the link given
below;
Thank you again for contacting Sprint. Have a great day!

Think you misunderstood what I said. I want a way to get a touch pro for less than 100 bucks which many on this site have gotten through sprint. I have flashed new roms dozens of times, so I know my way around that a bit. Any sugestions?
It also says I am not able to send in the phones for replacement, I have to go to an authorized sprint repair center. Problem is, I live over 50 miles from a repair center. I sent them this email.
Hello again,
Unfortunately there is not a Sprint repair store within 50 miles of my zip code. It is past 30 days, but is well within the one year manufacturer warranty so I am not sure what the problem is. I do not feel that I should have to pay full price or use my upgrade discount on a phone that I have had for far less than a year. I need to know what you can do for me considering I can not drive 100 miles away to have someone look at my defective handsets.
Thank you,

be happy to assist you regarding
your HTC Mogul device.
Unfortunately there are only 2 options for you at this time. You can
contact HTC service and use the 1 year manufacturer warranty or you can
take it to a service center to have it tested and repaired. These are
the only options at this time that we can provide to you.
Also regarding replacing them with the Touch Pro we can not do this
either. If a service center determines that the phones are defective
they will replace the phones with another HTC Mogul device and there
will be a service charge since you do not currently have any type of
insurance on your phones.
If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to respond
to this email.
Thank you again for contacting Sprint. We appreciate your business.
Sincerely,

Still with the GB update, eagles blood rom, and CM7 rom I still am getting reboots and SOD. I chatted with them and seems like I'm SOL with warranty on the phone since I got the phone off craigslist and not an authorized reseller.
Every LG phone and device has a one year limited warranty which starts from the date of purchase, or original purchase (If it was a replacement that is), unless you purchased a refurbished phone which has only 90 days of warranty. If you would need to send the phone or device to LG, we will perform a cover to cover check on the device to see what the issue is, if our technicians find that the issue is caused by any type of physical, liquid, or cosmetic damage on the device then fees will be applied, at this point you will be notified via email or through a phone call before doing any repairs. As well, this warranty will not cover the device if it was purchased through a non authorized LG dealer, such as E-bay, newegg, craiglist, etc…; if our technicians determine that the issue is a manufacturer’s defect, the device will be repaired or replaced by a certified refurbish unit. This process has a turn around time of 5 to 7 business days, from the day that our technicians start working on your device.

Has anyone had any luck with warranty through LG or even T-mobile when they didn't get it from an authorized re seller?

Samsung has the exact same policy. Before repair, they ask for an invoice and a credit card statement if the invoice is questionable. They also have a s/n database to track which phones were shipped to which dealer to match against the invoice. The manufacturers take the authorized retailer thing pretty seriously.
Try contacting the seller to assist you with this or ask him where he got it from. Tell LG you paid cash or were given the item as a gift from a now deceased family member.
Tell them the device was purchased though an authorized dealer and then was given to you or sold to you by a friend. Does friend count as Craigslist or Ebay?
Newegg isn't a authoized seller?

more info?
you do this in store? did they ask you for proof of purchase?
I bought the phone new in Canada. I have experienced problems with the gps along with some stability issues, and minor screen bleed. I called LG Canada yesterday, and the guy was ready to set up a repair request. I delay this action, and when I called today, the LG person says I have no warranty, and the person I called in the US confirmed this. So what do I do now? I'll contact Cellworldco, who I bought it from, about it tomorrow, that's for sure. I am using the July baseband.
G2X warranty is only through authorized sales outlets only and to the original purchaser only. Any G2X sales (not Canadian 2X P999) in Canada are resold (purchased in the USA, unlocked and then sent to Canada) "gray market" units and have no warranty.
I have always believed the phone i originally bought from T-Mobile was a refurb, even though they sold to me as new. Just believe LG was overwhelmed with returns when the phone released, fixed the software, then sent back phones.
Anyway, battery has always been somewhat poor. I did not worry because honestly after about six months i have always requested and received a new battery with any new phone.
I call T-Mobile today for a battery replacement. They say the accessory warranty is expired as of Oct 27. I got this Phone Late July - so 3 months!
They tell me to contact LG.
LG does zero troubleshooting, just initiates an RA and gives me an address to send the phone. I explained they should send me a battery and i will send them the old one!
So apparantly all is well with LG to make a customer Go possibly 2 weeks or more without their phone??
Am i crazy to think this is wrong??
Seems as though tmos customer service is catching up with the other providers.

I've already looked around here and elsewhere and have not found an answer to my question, but hopefully someone here knows the answer. Some quick background info:
I'm from the US but I live primarily in Europe (specifically Austria) and want to get a Nexus 5 for my girlfriend. Unfortunately I am a bit concerned about the warranty situation. Obviously Google will not honor the warranty on the device in Austria, but will LG? I haven't called LG's Austrian support line yet (since it's a Sunday) but perhaps someone here can let me know and help me avoid sitting on hold for who knows however long.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide!
Hi, I've contacted Google in that case already.
The thing is: Google and LG warranty policy is not the same.
Sadly if you buy N5 from a GP Store you're stuck with a warranty available only in the country where you bought it via GPS. That is what they wrote:
"LG's policy is different than Google's Policy.
If you would like to utilize LG's repair services, you are more than welcome to do so.
As far as an advanced replacement from us, warranty replacement service from Google is only provided within the country from which your device was originally purchased.
Again, if you want to get your Nexus 5 repaired by LG you can do so but it would be at your own expense. "
I asked about sending device from my home country and if they will send it back:
"At this time, refund and warranty replacement service from Google is only provided within the country from which your device was originally purchased. Under no circumstances can we cover international shipping costs to return your device to the original country of purchase."
There is an option to "transfer" warranty to someone in US:
Or, if the warranty is still under your friend's name, since they were the purchaser, you can send the Nexus 5 back to them in the US and they can contact us about a replacement. If the warranty is not still under their name, you can send it to anyone you know in the US, and they can call us, and we can transfer the warranty to them. They can then take care of the replacement, and send you the new device once they have it.
When you buy a device from LG in EU, warranty is available in every country in EU, contrary to devices from GPS.
Hope it helped

Thanks, that did help. Maybe we'll buy the device via Germany then... having a warranty would be nice.
