This ROM only flashes System & Data partitions and DOES NOT change anything else so chances of brick are 0 but still, please keep CWM Backup ready which will be used if you find issues in the ROM so that you can revert back to normal working status.
Use custom KK recovery from here.
I prefer [CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch 6.56.2 - cwm 6.0.5.0.
(Internal sd-card refereed as sdcard00, external as sdcard01)
Download rom zip file.
Put into sd card.
Flash the desired recovery.
Boot into recovery.
BACKUP CURRENT ROM
Wipe for flash of new rom.
Or wipe data/system/delvic cache/cache.
Select Install From SD (Internal or External)
Select the zip file and Select YES
Reboot.
THINGS TOBE NOTED
First boot takes time 3-5 mins so be patient.
After the boot logo (boot logo may look as if its stucked)
blank screen is seen its not hanged.
wait until it boots.
Phone reboot once inbetween so dont worry.
I didnt got much time to play around so please let me know any bugs/issues/Suggestions.

I strongly feel that the Xolo developers should take training from Avi and make such roms.
Been using this for 2 days now...still searching for bugs.

My experience with this ROM.
I am thankful to Dr. Avinash for all he has been doing for this awsome phone.
I was itching to get Kitkat ROM on my phone since the google camera refused to install saying that this is an older version of android, which was android 4.2.
The installation was done using CWM recovery with the ROM on my sd card root directory. With fingers crossed I waited for the installation to finish and it was there after a wait of about five minutes.
No welcome screen just plain simple home screen with occasional popup tip on how to handle the options on the home screen.
As I was afraid of my IMEI getting corrupted so it was. But i already had taken a backup making a flashable file of the same. (Thanks to Dr. Avinash for his guidance to use this link. I flashed the file I had earlier made and the IMEI was restored.
The FM radio was working, the camera showed slightly lower resolution than 13 MP of my camera, the volume was little louder (better), however I was not happy as the update.zip I had created using app2zip for restoring my apps in a snap did not work. The gravitybox did not work properly inspite of all the troubleshooting I could find on the web.
Thus I restored my ROM xtreme V1 by Avinsh. and will wait till i have patience and time to reinstall the this ROM.
I think it should work and it was just the failure to restore my apps that I removed it and restored to my earlier ROM
Again thanks for all the effort, Dr. Avinash.
Again tried it, the zipme app backed up all my apps withot the data and I was able to flash the created update file to restore all my apps. Also could install xposed and gravity box successfully. Everything works as expected. Great ROM. No bug yet after 12 hours of installation and severe testing.

This is my custom ROM for THL W8 that's based on Eastcom W1 stock Android 4.1.2 ROM, which
I find better than the THL's stock one.
It's a pure stock with some of my mods on top of it and it's flashable via recovery (CWM or TWRP).
My recommendation is to use TWRP recovery since everything is tested with that one. I don't
test update zips on CWM because I am too lazy to reflash recovery every time.
(For installing ClockworkMod or TeamWin recovery, refer to this thread )

Installation instructions
1) Download ROM zip and put in on SD card
2) Reboot to recovery (cwm or twrp). Turn off signature verification if it's on (ZIP is not signed)
3) Backup your current ROM (optional, but highly recommended)
4) Perform factory reset (wipe data, cache, dalvik cache)
5) Install ROM zip downloaded in step 1)
6) Reboot. Patience required - first boot takes a while
7) Visit Update Kitchen to update or customize GravityMod
ATTENTION:
Kernel (boot image) that comes with this ROM is not compatible with the stock ROM, nor other custom ROMs (probably).
When returning back to stock rom/other rom, you should flash stock kernel afterwards (e.g. using SP Flash Tool) .
Otherwise device won't boot. I will provide a ZIP package with stock kernel soon.

Yep.
Finally found a way to flash it correctly. What I was missing was the uboot partition. Flashing boot and system from different device was not enough.
Looks really promising since everything seems to be working great. Guys, you haven't seen such a smooth UI as this one has Really awsome.
I also find a way how to make a 4.2 rom zip to be flashed from recovery. But there is one thing that needs to be resolved.
After flashing new rom, recovery won't work anymore. It has to be reflashed with one built with new kernel image. Recovery flashing can be part of an update zip. The bad thing is that since new kernel image is about 200kb bigger than the older one, TWRP recovery can't fit our 6MB limit. CWM still fits OK. This means, after flashing rom via recovery you will end up with CWM.
I still need some time to iron out everything to release some initial release (pure stock, without any mods)
Well, as you know, G610-U00 emotion UI (Official Stock firmware) is annoying, lets try to change the overall UI completely from boring Chinese UI into popular phones' UI.
Before we go, back up everything you need (Apps, Contacts, etc...)
Your phone bootloader must be unlocked to do these processes!!!!
1.Download and install VRoot ENGLISH VERSION on PC and root Your G610-U00 first. (Skip this step if you have already rooted your phone)
2.Download and install Mobile Uncle Tools on your phone.
3.Download TWRP English recovery for G610-U00 first and put it in SD card.
4.Download Rom below that you want to install and put it in SD card.
5.Open Mobile Uncle Tools and "Allow" root Permission and choose "Recovery Update" in Mobile Uncle Tools and then
choose "ydss-g610-u00-twrp-recovery-en-v2.0".
6.Mobile Uncle Tools will show you a message "Reboot into Recovery?" Choose "Yes".
You can also go to recovery mode this way
(1)Power off your phone
(2)Press and "HOLD" volume up button and then power button until you get into RECOVERY MODE.
7.In the TWRP recovery,
(1)Choose "Wipe"
(2)Choose "Advance Wipe"
(3)Choose Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, System
(4)Pull the Slider below from the left to the right. Now your Phone is clean and ready to install new ROM
(5)Go Back to the menu with Back Key
(6)Choose the button "Install"
(7)Choose the ROM (zip) you have downloaded
(8)Pull the Slider below from the left to the right to install the zip and wait for the installation process
(9)After Installation process choose "Reboot"
ENJOY YOUR NEW ROM!

In any case, if you want to go back to official stock firmware,
(1) Download and flash it in TWRP RECOVERY (I'm not sure it would work in CWM but has 70% success rate )
(Without flashing this stock recovery in TWRP, you won't able to flash Official Firmware).
(2)Download extract the downloaded zip and copy the "dload" folder to SD card.
(3)Power off the phone and Press and Hold "Volume Up + Volume Down and Power Button" until you see the install processing cmd lines on your phone. Wait for the process and the phone will reboot automatically after update finish.
Now you are on the official stock firmware.

You should read thoroughly before you do.
Try reflashing official firmware as my instruction.
Dont' download the firmware I provided.

Tried several times with same procedure bro, even tried flashing it over stock kk, even tried letting it to boot for 2 hrs, but one thing I notices, I flashed and kept to charge as I had only 30%. when the phone is booting it won't charge right, but in this case my phone had charged to 70% in that waiting period for boot, I checked it in recovery when I went to flash other rom. Dose it mean that my phone has booted but screen got struck. Bz I had experiences like that

for me worked 1 time..its all the same when installing roms..use same recovery, i ve used PHILZ ..once you have it go to:
Download rom zip file.
Put into sd card.
Wipe for install a new rom.
choose the rom from sd card, wait untill it finishes and reboot.
wait about 5 minutes +/-..it boots.

Format/wipe system
Format/wipe data
Format/wipe chache
Format/wipe delvic chache
then flash the ROM.
Today I will look into the ROM again and if any issue i will provide definite solution.

First of all this ROM is the closest to Android L experiences, just android L recent app list is missing.
-Snap camera is awesome, picture quality is good but not so customizable like lenovo super camera.
-android l pulldown quicksettings is the highlight, had a hard time learning how to close it back after pulldoen. Gravity box working without issue. Even can change quick settings according to gravity box expect for user pic, brightness.
-settings is just like stock android L
-simple dialer is a good choice for android L dialer, but fc when header pops up.
-Can't able to change wallpaper tried in other launcher too
-system Ul fc when recent apps is opened
-calendar fc even after update
-no problem with playstore
- had this weaired error after installing xposed and reboot,
- can't able to use titanium backup giving fc when scrolling

Tried this rom a day b4 yesterday...
1st impression... very good... almost lollipop rom. Camera is amazing...
Yes have installed snap cam on other rom... just by taking the apk from ROM zip and installing it by normal way. works gr8 on Android L.
when i used this rom for some time, got a feeling of missing many things... ROM looks incomplete...
Updated all apps to newer versions... which solved Fc proble.. for all apps. But somehow System UI gave FC message randomely.. need to lock & unlock the phone OR Reboot for some instances to get read of System UI Fc.
L Lockscreen also ha problems, so disabled it in bigining only.
quick toggels are not as they used to be.. one need to pull down from notifiacation panel to see the quick toggels, but again they are limited..
Haven't tried Xposed mods on this..
In Settings Lock screen settings are in developer settings..
in all got a feeling that will need to give more time to make it a daily driver...
so here i ll suggest to dear @ Avi that it would be better to have certain features/ settings/ mods by default in any ROM you make public...
This is Just to reduce ppls complaints./ reports abt non working OR Fc of some features OR Apps.
The issential Features/ settings/ mods can be derived from everybodies suggestions...

Go back to stock rom using Odin
Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery
Flash CM Kernel
Format data, system and cache
Mount data, system, cache and sd card
Wipe dalvik cache, battery stats
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Flash Hyperion ROM
Flash GApps
WARNING
If you don't format your device using EXT Formatter, you will be stuck at boot logo for eternity
If you don't use a CM kernel; screenshot, bluetooth and wifi (basically radios) will not work properly or won't work at all
If you don't format data, system and cache, you will experience autoreboot a couple of times in a day
If you won't flash Google Apps, you won't be able to add your google account

Make sure
your phone is using the latest stock rom baseband (flash the modem file from my firmware thread for your region)
Use cwm5 (although the kernel contains cwm which is why it's very important to reboot to recovery after flashing a kernel)
You have formatted system to ext using the tool
You have flashed the cm7 kernel
***You reboot to recovery after flashing the kernel***
Format system data cache
Mount system data cache
Flash rom zip
Restart
Go back into recovery mount system data cache & flash gapps
