[ROM][GB][KQN] DeepSky v1.0 [IN STAND-BY] - 11/JAN/13

to all:
I've decided to re-star from "0" with this ROM using KPC firmware instead of KQN.
So this will take some time, my suggestion is to no use this ROM for the moment.
INTRODUCTION
This is my second ROM, finally I can say MY because I've made it from a full stock ROM.
(Obviously, this was possible thanks guides made by some true developpers )

INSTALLATION
- Copy the file on your SD memory card
- Reboot in recovery mode (Use cwm/CWM Touch or TWRP)
- Install DeepSky_1.0_Signed.zip file
- Restart the device
Note: installation does not do any wipe, so do wipe cache and davilkcache manually before restarting.
If you come from another ROM, full wipe/factory reset is suggested.

I like your ROM's and I want to test this one, but I really don't want to make sys. wipe.
Can it be installed over Ginger Revenge 1.1.5 without system wipe?
PS: And I would love to see "HoneyComb" lockscreen from Ginger Revenge in this ROM.

The installation process wipes and replace only system files (and all tweaks you're applied manually to gingerrevenge)
Personal data and apps is retainend if you dont wipe it manually.
in any case make a backup before flashing

Doesn't work on my phone...
Made factory reset, cleaned cache, davlick.
Installed without error messages, but after boot animation it just stays on blinking "S" logo and screen sometimes flashes with white light. Tried to fix permissions and reinstall - result is the same.
Reverted back to Ginger revenge.
PS: CWM 6.0.1.2 non-touch

I've tested with CWM 6.0.1.9 and with TWRP 2.2.1 successfully.
starting also from a non clean base... maybe try to download again the zip file

Tried with TWRP 2.2.1 - same problem. But I fixed it by formatting internal SD card. Don't know what exactly was wrong with it...
So far everything works fine.
One little advice, change the starting message language to English (see screenshot).

I'll try to fix in eay that it startd with right language for every country.

works as well, but sometimes my phone just freeze, i dont know why, on 1.3 1.5 roms also, and i must remove battery for restart phone

Can you make odin package? because I want to instal modem too, because my wifi doesn't work.
I installed this rom from cwm recovery, but I think that only rom was installed, without modem etc.

The modem will never been changed by flashing a rom.

If you check his signature you will see (In vacation.... Finally!). So we have to wait for him but why not to try flashing till then??? and see your self all the details??

Use custom KK recovery from here.
I prefer [CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch 6.56.2 - cwm 6.0.5.0.
(Internal sd-card refereed as sdcard00, external as sdcard01)
Download rom zip file.
Put into sd card.
Flash the desired recovery.
Boot into recovery.
BACKUP CURRENT ROM
Wipe for flash of new rom.
Or wipe data/system/delvic cache/cache.
Select Install From SD (Internal or External)
Select the zip file and Select YES
Reboot.
THINGS TOBE NOTED
First boot takes time 3-5 mins so be patient.
After the boot logo (boot logo may look as if its stucked)
blank screen is seen its not hanged.
wait until it boots.
Phone reboot once inbetween so dont worry.
I didnt got much time to play around so please let me know any bugs/issues/Suggestions.

Been using this for 2 days now...still searching for bugs.
Smooth as butter....fast as it is supposed to be....everyhing works....

My experience with this ROM.
I am thankful to Dr. Avinash for all he has been doing for this awsome phone.
I was itching to get Kitkat ROM on my phone since the google camera refused to install saying that this is an older version of android, which was android 4.2.
The installation was done using CWM recovery with the ROM on my sd card root directory. With fingers crossed I waited for the installation to finish and it was there after a wait of about five minutes.
No welcome screen just plain simple home screen with occasional popup tip on how to handle the options on the home screen.
As I was afraid of my IMEI getting corrupted so it was. But i already had taken a backup making a flashable file of the same. (Thanks to Dr. Avinash for his guidance to use this link. I flashed the file I had earlier made and the IMEI was restored.
The FM radio was working, the camera showed slightly lower resolution than 13 MP of my camera, the volume was little louder (better), however I was not happy as the update.zip I had created using app2zip for restoring my apps in a snap did not work. The gravitybox did not work properly inspite of all the troubleshooting I could find on the web.
Thus I restored my ROM xtreme V1 by Avinsh. and will wait till i have patience and time to reinstall the this ROM.
I think it should work and it was just the failure to restore my apps that I removed it and restored to my earlier ROM
Again thanks for all the effort, Dr. Avinash.
Again tried it, the zipme app backed up all my apps withot the data and I was able to flash the created update file to restore all my apps. Also could install xposed and gravity box successfully. Everything works as expected. Great ROM. No bug yet after 12 hours of installation and severe testing.

It often happens with supersu in KitKat. Fully unroot supersu. Reroot with kingroot v3.3.1. Kinguser provides faster restore in titanium

-scrolling smoothness is great
-battery backup is good
-galaxy lock screen, dialer, contacts, in call screen, calander, calculator, settings, gesture sensing are working perfect.
Problems faced
-Slow restore in titanium backup
Its a problem with supersu in KitKat. So unrooted and rerooted with kingroot.
-Unresponsive or slow working galaxy music app.
- no option in app drawer. Systems apps are arranged randomly
- missing weather app, so getting error of weather update and auto location detection.

Yes I did. Restoring works better with kinguser

Im on theis rom from 3day a go. when i set Dala Ugsage limit device got Restar & Roaming indicatoer also showing out side the network bar, & whein is set Freecore in Freedom its not hapenning & get restart.??

Battery backup is awesome, Sound quality is 2good++ than stock rom, camera, dialer, Display Brightness, In rom Smoothness is perfectly working.
Con thing,
Multi tasking not working, when pressing appdrawere no Pure smoothness in transiction between home screen & apps menu.

Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery
Flash CM Kernel
Format data, system and cache
Mount data, system, cache and sd card
Wipe dalvik cache, battery stats
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Flash Hyperion ROM
Flash GApps
WARNING
If you don't format your device using EXT Formatter, you will be stuck at boot logo for eternity
If you don't use a CM kernel; screenshot, bluetooth and wifi (basically radios) will not work properly or won't work at all
If you don't format data, system and cache, you will experience autoreboot a couple of times in a day
If you won't flash Google Apps, you won't be able to add your google account

Make sure
your phone is using the latest stock rom baseband (flash the modem file from my firmware thread for your region)
Use cwm5 (although the kernel contains cwm which is why it's very important to reboot to recovery after flashing a kernel)
You have formatted system to ext using the tool
You have flashed the cm7 kernel
***You reboot to recovery after flashing the kernel***
Format system data cache
Mount system data cache
Flash rom zip
Restart
Go back into recovery mount system data cache & flash gapps

boot in recovery and make a Backup: THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!
download from one of the link's provided
copy to sdcard or internal...in that case DON'T WIPE INTERNAL STORAGE
in recovery wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, system and Data
install the rom
reboot
IMPORTANT: if you want to install gapps and you cannot sign in because of google apps,
you can RESTORE your personal DATA from Backup. I've encounter this issue after reboot, i was not able to move forward. I've restored my data and it is works.
The ROM is ROOTED don't need Magisk or SuperSu. After restore your data DON'T TRY reinstall GAPPS. It will crash your GMAIL, G+, PLAY STORE. Leave your data untouched.
Otherwise the rom is stable, smooth, OMS supported.

This Rom has prebuilt root. From developer option you can disable root. For a specific app install supersu and from there you can disable for app you want not rooted.

Is magisk supported?

So, i can't install gapps on this rom?

This rom is great! And crazy fast!
I'm 200 points short to reach 40000 in antutu. And it's very stable too.
The only bug that i found is the smart lock function with trusted places. It keeps my phone unlocked when i'm home, but does not lock when i'm out.

Magisk not installed. It is prerooted. Try install Magisk. Apk

Yes you can. But first, install Rom and boot up. After fully boot restart in recovery, wipe cache and dalvik, install gapps, again wipe cache and dalvik, reboot system. Then is OK.

Any Wifi issues?
@mitomanu, Thank you for your time to make ROMs for this device.
One query though, Is Wifi able to TURN ON in this ROM?
As am having this issue in all Nougat ROMs- CM14 and RR.
No baseband/modem works for me to solve this issue.

I don't have that issue. It should working.

I did and i can't sign in to my Google account. It stays on "verifying data" forever.

Try to restore your data from backup if you have one.

I think the rr rom has more options..and styles...

And the procedure to install and use gapps in this Xenon rom is more complicated.

Really? I never Boot in between. I flash Rom, then flash gapps, then Boot. Hat least on other roms.

Hey, first thank you for this rom everything is working great & battery life is good...
Ive faced one problem which happens mostly when i watch videos, the screen suddenly become blue and it goes to black.. The video will be playing but no screen. Then i have to press lockscreen and then the screen works.
Can you look into this issue?
