[Q] Stock recovery for MMX Unite 2 (106) 8GB - Micromax A106 Unite 2

Dear Dev friends,
I have a MMX Unite 2(8GB) model. I have done rooting and also did data re-partitioning almost 3 weeks before. Now that i am having some issues with my loudspeaker, I need to take my 106 to the service center. In order to get back to stock, I did flashed my read back(which I created as per sandeep duhoon's post) and it all went well. The device is now stock and without root access. But the problem is, the recovery that i get wen holding "vol +" + "vol -" + "power" is carliv touch recovery . I would like to get back my stock recovery. Can somebody help me in getting back by stock recovery. There is a file named 'factory_NONmodified_recovery.img' in my read back made flashable rom. Would that be of any help? Pls reply. Thanks.

[Q] [help] I may have bricked my Micromax a110

I successfully installed the [IndiAndroid](http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2000453&page=7) through CWM (it showed the words successful and completed) but now when I boot into normal mode it just hangs at the start screen "SUPERFONE CANVAS 2".
I don't know how else to get to the recovery mode for this phone [Micromax a110] except through MobileUncle app but the phone won't start. Any help appreciated...

Go into recovery mode by first switching off your device. Then press volume up, down and power button all together to go into recovery when light flashes. Then you can try flashing stock rom and see what happens after that
OR
follow this guide

I have purchased micromax a110 and every thing was fine with that phone.i even flashed it to v2 ROM and things were fine even then(only problem i observed was with display having light faded up images of previous things displayed....don't know but feel may be due to screen refresh rate)
Yesterday i happened to find [MICROMAX A110] ROM of Mobistel Cynus T2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2060482
did as things were mentioned in post and everything was good and smooth
i then thought of reverting back to V2 ROM and flashed A110 with Sp flash tool, flashed correctly and phone was running normally........but i saw the options in sp flash tool and selected memory test option and selected all options and started the test after test finished i was not able to start the phone........ i then again flashed with v2 ROM and it started but iam getting invalid imei and NVram warning as WiFi network please help me to resolve this ......phones working properly but shows imei invalid and WiFi network i tried to root but cant even root the phone now

ALL THE ABOVE METHODS DONT WORK!! I Bricked my phone to..so read on!!
Okay so here is what you have to do!!
1.Flash yourself into CWM recovery& create a backup of your file data as this method will erase everything!!
2.Enter into Advanced options>Mount SD card
3.Copy whichever ROM package you have pre-installed into the SD CARD which is mounted(In my case RADEON ROM*)
And now go to Install option from SD Card>Radeon Rom..and Voila its back from the DEAD!!
P.S: Backup is 100%essential & I'm not liable if you do not backup your data using CWM
Cheers!!

root xolo a800 after jellybean update

Hi all,
I have a xolo a800 . i was able to root it when i got the phone using bin4ary root method as i had ICS on the phone.
However after updating the phone i am not able to rrot the phone using the same method. I do have the recovery image for the xolo a800 but i really dont know how to root the phone. i tried the SP tools method but my phone doesnt do anything after i do the write memory. i guess im missing out on the scattered file and also the hex values.
Can somebody please help me with a step by step method for rooting the xolo a800 with official jellybean update ( not ICS xolo a800).
Im eagerly waiting.

Hello,
can you explain me how to root xolo a800 i am new and don't know anythink about how to root the phone but i want to root my phone.
Please also provide the links of drivers used while rooting the phone.
will this method work on xolo q600??
xolo 800
somebody please tag me a cwm for my xolo a800 . i want to root and flash a new rom .................

Directly booting to recovery

I have a rooted S-7500, with CWM recovery 5.0.2.8 installed. I (by mistake) allowed the 'software update' option to install a system update(or something) today by mistake (I know, you should never install system updates after rooting. My bad.) Since then, the phone directly goes to the cwm recovery mode on powering on, and i am unable to do anything else
I am not very well versed with the finer details of rooting bootloader recovery n all...so pls some details with steps...if possible .
Any help whatsoever...please I will be really grateful

Thanks!!! It totally worked!
Just a clarification...now that i have got the stock rom back on my phone...am i right in saying that I have lost root access, my phone is totally back to the 'original' state, and i have lost CWM as well? Please correct me if I am wrong.
And assuming that I am correct(above), I would like to re-root my device(need to use proxydroid to surf internet over the damned proxy server!). So..can I follow the standard method, ie, can I do it the same way I had done before, or do i need to do something different now?
And once again...THANK YOU for your help! I had ended up hard bricking my previous phone, and was really scared when this happend to my aceP. You saved me!
Easy way to ROOT your SGAP
Yes by the time you flash stock rom you loss root even any custom recovery you flashed before...
but now if you want to root your SGAP again don't follow that guide again which you done before just follow this :
Download ODIN from Downloading link below (inside ODIN software folder)
Download any one recovery which you like TWRAP / CWM v5.5 (inside Custom recovery folder)
Download Root_SGAP.zip from Root folder & place that zip inside in your sd card
Click to collapse
Download Link : GALAXY Ace Plus - Basic stuff
FOR Custom_Recovery :
Open odin, be sure your system has already install drivers & if kies is there close it.
extract recovery zip
connect device to pc in download mod (vol down + power + home) & select that (recovery) .md5 file in pda section inside ODIN software
Click start & wait to reboot device
FOR ROOT :
Now boot device in CWM mod ( vol up + down + power + home)
choose zip from sd card & select Root_SGAP.zip
DONE.

if you are going to stick on stock rom forever & only want to root device then stock recovery is ok for you...
but while dealing with custom roms, custom recoveries are smart choice.
it has lot of additional options than stock recovery.
so my opinion yes use custom recovery

[Q] How to Unroot and go back to Factory Settings?

Hi all,
Question: I have a custom recovery right now and i would like to go back to unroot and factory settings, but for some reason it will not work.
I tried:
> Unroot/Uninstall SuperSU (option in SuperSU app), after waiting for 15 minutes, i got tired. Is it stuck?
> Fastboot and install original recovery. When i do this nothing happens when pressing VOL + POWER. There is no factory recovery, the phone just keeps rebooting.
> Factory reset. all data is lost, but EMUI is not the same as when i bought it (golden Mate 7 theme), but it looks more like Gingerbread stock Android.
Could someone help me to go back all the way to stock - like new? Many thanks in advance!
You download the original rom from huawei website for your version. Put the dload folder in the root of your sd card and then click on updater and then manual. It will see the folder and will start flashing.

@ mirchichamu: Thanks for the reply and good advice. This afternoon I already tried to flash the B127 update in the hope to go back to stock, but that did also not work with Custom Recovery (VOL+ and POWER) as I got an error.
Later I found out that the .img for the original recovery probably was not suitable for my Mate 7. I tried another stock recovery that i found online and that did the trick and I could factory reset in a normal way.

can you pls give me a link for this recovery you used?
first thing is to have THE RIGHT stock recovery version..
u cannot use custom recovery to have phone officially back as b4 or flash off. rom
It works always in sequence ...
If u want to flash new rom u need earlier recovery ..
if u want to re-flash same rom u use same recovery ..

Hey Thanks for reply, i resolved that issue by trying to turn on the phone by usb power, phone boots up normally but without any signal both sims are properly inserted but no signal (may be IMEI issue) how to resolve it???. ( procedure i followed for previous attempt, i am currently on JellyBean my stock android version(people say Mi509 come with KITKAT out of box but its not in case of my phone. i followed your procedure as it is, downloaded attachment and MobileUncle apk installed that apk , opened that uncle and selected recovery update and it automatically restarted.)
now i know that my standard Android Recovery was OVERWRITTEN by custom recovery and i DIDNT backup my stock recovery . what should i do. ( i read something about EFS partition which contains IMEI info which was corrupted by custom recovery i believe ). and also please send me backup of recovery partition (or EFS) to me @ [email protected] i will set my own IMEI nos using Enginering Mode apk . this is my only phone please help me

thats why i was asking about android version....
bcoz all roms and recovery available for MI509 uses KITKAT kernel and you flashed it on Jellybean...
here i attach the stock recovery of jellybean....
for fixing IMEI use this link.........
This will fix it permanently...
IMEI TOOL with video tutorial....https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B5DM6ZSz3dh-eTQzV2VWck1Kckk&export=download
Database- http://www.mediafire.com/download/no1oo8rroq4uqtr/Database.rar
use database file from second link bcoz this database is for spice mi509....

If your device I bricked then just flash stock firmware using sp flash tool...if you don't know how to ...
Then give it to service centre but don't tell them about rooting and flashing custom rom...
Bcoz if you tell them then they will cost you money...

flashtool will work on your pc and laptop...
download firmware and then install drivers given in it in your pc then open your flashtool and load bootloader...
now connect your device to pc via data cable with or without battery ...
then click on download button in flashtool and press vol down on device.
then update will start..
