[Q] Touch screen problems.... touch not registering properly - AT&T LG G2

So I really hope that someone can help me here as I seem to have a big problem... I'll try to write this out from the beginning...
Ordered my phone from Hong Kong. It is a D802 model. 3.4.0 kernel, d80210b software 32gb (likely the HK version right?). I knew that it was upgradeable to kitkat and so I downloaded the LG mobile support tool and plugged in my phone. I set the country and region to UK and set it to upgrade the software. Then I let it do what it does. At the end of the process the phone was stuck in bootloop on the LG screen with the indicator light switching between blue and green.
I then tried to fix it using the LG flashtool, but it wouldn't go into download mode and went to fastboot. I figured that it was stuck in fast boot and so I did the laf.img fix that is out there to try to restore download mode. The laf.img file I used was for a 16gb D802, not a 32gb like mine. I'm wondering if that is what created the issue that I have. Anyway, this allowed the phone to start in download mode and from there I flashed the software to Hong Kong d80210b 32gb.
This is where I noticed the big problem that I am currently experiencing and need help with. My phone screen does not register my touches in the right places. If I try to tap a location on the screen (an onscreen button) it will register the touch somewhere else completely. I thought that it might be an android version issue, but I upgraded to European open D80220D_00 (it doesn't seem to specify 16gb or 32gb) using LG flashtool 2014 and the issue remains the same.
I am unable to use the phone completely and I assume that the issue is deeper than the android version. I would really like to resolve this issue somehow. Does anyone have any idea? I'm thinking that if I could force a complete re-install of everything that might fix it. I was told by a useless LG rep (over the phone) that I would have to give my phone to my service provider and have them send it off to a technician to re-install the software, but I figure anything they can do I can do as well... right?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!!

i have the same prob as you my friend, check out my prob in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/to-t2867647/post55252295#post55252295 after i manage to make my phone work again this touch prob show up

H950 Soft Bricked And Possible Help

From what I've seen throughout this forum, many more of the experienced developers have simply skimped by this issue. I know many other people are experiencing this same issue regarding their H950 variant of the LG Flex 2, and many have sought help amidst the many smart individuals on this site, but many were simply ignored or left hanging.
I bought my H950 a couple weeks back when they were being sold for a fairly low price for a new device. And luckily, it's still under the seller's free warranty. I was experiencing horrendous issues including:
-Battery life lasting a mere 2 hours on medium brightness and with other features on
-Extreme heat causing the phone to lag so bad that it was comparable to an android phone from 2006
-And so much more
I have tried all suggestions I found from the internet that included using the LG Support Tool (don't bother just kept telling me that the device was in "ok" and tried on other desktops same issue) I have also tried hard resetting (if you're in a bootloop just hold down the power and volume down for a few seconds until the LG logo stops or in my case AT&T) and gave little hope (manual hard reset power and volume down until logo appears and quickly let go of the power and press it again whilst still holding volume down) it "let" me do a hard reset and showed an android but quickly went away and went on the bootloop
The last option was the option I wished worked or was possible is the TOT or KDZ method. Sadly, no files for the H950 variant are up.
Now what I'm thinking is, is it possible to use the TOT or KDZ method but use the files from European variants? Their model numbers are H951 and honestly, if no one has tried, I might try myself. If it's not possible, then to all my fellow H950 owners, if possible, I suppose send in our phones for a replacement. Many developers simply skip over our replies in threads that involve solutions to the sprint or european versions
Hey have yoi tried to use H951 TOT or KDZ, or other on H950? What's your status?

I have not, I have read other users try and some have achieved boot. But, many face problems with connection, Wi-Fi, etc.
UPDATE: A week ago I spoke with the support team of LG, and they have stated that their support tool has not yet updated to restore the LG Flex 2. Instead of worrying if there is a solution, I sent my device in for repair. It's been a week, and my device has been restored and sent back and will arrive shortly. I advise users who suffer the same issue with their phone simply contact their support. All they asked for was an IMEI number and serial number of the device, and will more than likely allow for repair (due to the fact that the phone has 1 year LG warranty and the phone has only been out a few months, so people who have bought it secondhand might be able to get it repaired)

Did you purchase your handset from ebay and where you live because I supposedly hard bricked my LG G Flex 2 while trying to flash H950PR rom. Now the devices refuses to power on and the device manager shows hsusb_bulk. I live in India and don't have the option to send it ot At&t

New OnePlus One touchscreen issues!

Hi, I just purchased a brand new (sealed) OnePlus one from ebay which was RMA'd by the previous user due to some bootloader issue. The phone is great but I am having some touch screen issues when typing as it sometimes doesn't recognise my touches. I installed the 'ghost touch display tester' app and 'Yet another multitouch test app' and both prove that there is something wrong with the touch screen. I still have a chance to return the device back to the seller as I only received it yesterday but I wanted to know if there are any other fixes available that I could try as I really like the device. I am running the latest cm12.1 stock rom. I searched online and there is an option to install a custom kernel but I would rather not as I have previously bricked a phone in doing so.
Do you think Nexus 6 would be a better option as its only £40 more to buy at the moment.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I am running Build LMY48B.

Question Is it possible to reinstall a factory image?

Hello XDA!
First of all, long time lurker, but infrequent poster here. My phone is an Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro running stock and non-beta software and is not rooted. I am reaching out to see if anyone on here who has more technical savvy than me (which is probably most of y'all) can help me figure out how to reinstall a fresh factory image on my Asus ROG Phone 5s Pro or can offer any other possible solutions for my issue.
The reason I am wanting to do this is because I recently installed a software update from Asus that seems to have a persistent issue that is a pretty major problem to me. The issue is that whenever I reboot the phone and plug in headphones and audio plays, but it stutters and BLASTS out of the headphones (multiple sources tried, even happens with system notification sounds). This only happens with wired headphones and never with Bluetooth. I had this happen to me once for less than a half a second and my ears were persistently ringing for about 3+ hours after this and I am certain that it damaged my hearing to a small degree. Because of this I no longer trust to use any headphones with the phone and this is a huge bummer because I use wired headphones A LOT.
I have tried to factory reset the phone several times already and the issue persists through without any restoring of anything during setup (in fact it won't recognize the backup that it created the day before the factory reset), but the issue is still present. I contacted Asus customer support (for which lets just say I have strong feelings on) and explained the issue and they want me to RMA the phone for a hardware issue.
I really do not wish to do this as this means I will have to either switch phones a few times which is always incredibly time consuming or be without a phone for an estimated period of up to 10 days if I do the RMA. I also disagree that this is a hardware issue because of two things: 1) if it were a hardware issue then I would think that the problem would be constant and not happen just once after each reboot and I would think that doing something in the software, i.e. a reboot, wouldn't consistently recreate the problem. Thus I am trying to find a way to "restore" the operating system of this device to see if I can solve what I believe to be a software issue that shouldn't require any RMA.
I have seen that posts that linked official files from Asus before, such as the "AsusUnlock_1.0.0.7_210127_fulldpi.apk" found in the OP of the "Install any custom ROM on ROG Phone 5 / 5s (GSI)" thread here in this very forum. Is anyone aware of any officially sourced files for stock software/firmware for this phone and a process through which I could reinstall it?
I am also open to thoughts and other possible options to consider.
Also I will give bonus points to anyone who can help me figure out how to fix the issue where my Google backup by this very same phone won't restore its own Google backup when going through the setup and can help me restore it. It does recognize a different Google backup for a tablet that is set up for my child to use, so it is not an issue with the restore being completely broken.
Thanks in advance for anyone willing to try and lend a hand.

Yeah, just for additional info for anyone who finds this. I've also been working with ASUS customer support. I was given two links on flashing official firmware:
Unofficial guide on flashing - https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1009748/
Official firmware images - https://rog.asus.com/phones/rog-phone-5s-pro-model/helpdesk_bios (same as previous comment above; thanks Teddy)
When I asked why my version is newer than any they currently have listed on the site I was told that it "could be a preview release given directly by Google" (I doubt this as this appeared as an official OTA by Asus that had very specific patch notes to this phone in it) and that because my version is newer than any listed on their site would result in trouble if I tried to flash the newest version listed, but an older firmware than what is currently installed and that I should still just RMA my phone.
For reference my current firmware is RKQ1.210303.002.WW_Phone-18.1220.2201.186 and the latest firmware listed on their site at the time of this writing is WW-18.1220.2111.164.
Great phone (aside from the hearing damage), but utterly useless support.
Still open to thoughts and ideas though if anyone still has any.
You can "downgrade" your firmware by doing a RAW flash directly to version you need OR to any lower version and then install the official ASUS version you want manually. Also need to disable OTA updates to avoid being updated to the latest automatically.
Having the device checked for hardware issues is probably the best idea however.

Could you provide more info on this "downgrade" via "a RAW flash"? Is there a guide or something that will give more info about this?
I think I might be screwed though for the RMA. Customer service says apparently its a Taiwan version and cannot be serviced in the USA and has to be sent to via Taiwan RMA and the page they gave me seems to indicate there are no service centers for ROG Phones; see https://www.asus.com/support/service-center/taiwan#.
Short rant is that I literally spent hours and I mean HOURS (if not possibly days) of my time with Asus customer service and searching online trying to find a US version with US warranty and ultimately getting nowhere and deciding to go with the one I have now. Four months in to a $1700 phone and basically I am stuck with a dangerous headphone jack and no option to fix it other than maybe what you mentioned, Andrologic.
Today has not been kind.

There are links to download RAW images along with guides in the help thread pinned to the top of this forum. You should find what you need there. The RAW's come include flash scripts that does it all for you.
Just curious for opinions while this thread is still going:
Does anyone lean towards my issue being a hardware problem or something else (and if you could be specific and suggest something for me to try about it)?
The reason why I ask is because I personally feel like this is an issue with when the headphone jack initializes output or something because it only ever blasts audio after a reboot and I any audio plays. After it stops and plays again the levels seems to return to normal. I can also reliably make this happen the same way every single time. Finally (and somewhat conspiratorially), the update I installed just before this started to happen had patch notes that included "optimized audio parameters."
My appreciation in advance for any thoughts and insights.

Bricked on downgrade - need some guiding

Hi Guys, (new to the forum - hope I'll give all the needed details)
I bought the P40-pro (ELS-AN00 C00). It came with harmonyOS2 and as a result - no google services. Had some rough time trying to downgrade bet eventually I was able to go back to 11.0.0.190 (using hiSuite).
Next I tried to go down to 10.something with no success.
Eventually I had a "good" downgrade to 11.0.0.180 using hiSuite proxy. good - because it finished transferring the files to the phone and then it restarted and I have EMUI logo for a couple of seconds.
Then it "died". since that moment the phone does not turn on.
I can engage TEST POINT and get it on my pc as 'Huawei com 1.0 usb" but I was unable to find a software to flash new image on to it. most of them requite xml firmware file witch I cannot find (where do you get them from?)What software should I use to fix that?
(I saw sigmakey but if I got it correct I need the huawei addition plus the power pack which comes to around 300$. a little expensive LOL)
Any idea - solution will be highly appreciated
Thanks
Gil
How about you take it to the Huawei service center (if there is one near you) and lie a bit
Say there was a OTA upgrade and after the upgrade the phone died. I believe they have all the tools and software to reflash your mobile to the correct version and it would definitely be cheaper than 300 USD for the said powerpack.

Hi,
Beside the fact that I have already opened the phone (for the test point), I would like to downgrade it and getting it back in EMUI12 will probably end up in the same situation...
So I'd rather find a way to solve it myself in case I'll be in that spot again
Any ideas guys ?
