Maybe @jarjar124 can make it happen

It's harder than it looks
Paranoid Rastakat was ported over, but I don't think it's ready. Rastakat is a different story since this devices uses so much of CM related repos. I can try when I get back home after this long weekend. Can't promise anything.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=55163136&postcount=2648 looks like the request is being fulfilled...... eventually

Yes, noticed it [emoji16] But paranoid rastakat? At the time of nexus 7 2012 there was rasbeanjelly by rascarlo, that became rastakat lately. Never heard about paranoid+rastakat but it would be awesome too

[Q] AOKP vs. paranoid android

I have a nexus 10 that is currently on cm 10.1 and i want to try another rom, and i was wondering if any body could tell me the differances between the current versions of AOKP and paranoid android? Like performance, customization, etc.

I can't really talk about paraniod android because I only tried it out briefly once but I have AOKP on my Nexus 10 release and have been thrilled with it. It includes most features from CM10.1 but also includes some awesome customization options. I also have fewer reboots since switching to AOKP.
Look for the AOKP PUB (project unicorn butter) builds. They are great!
I personally like AOKP. Best advice is to flash and try each ROM and find which you prefer for settings and customizations since everyone will always have a different answer of which ROM they like.
Paranoid is better than AOKP

Haha, and why is that?

I have heard that

I have heard that before, but never really got much of an explaination as to why.

[Q] PA 2.54 / kernel / best battery life

Just curious if anyone would have some insight on which kernel I should pair up with PA 2.54 (hopefully 3.5 + halo gets ported soon ).
I'm probably going to flash rohan.kernel.b7 but I know that aznrice2k4 gets amazing battery life out of his kernel 143 (how about batt life on 150?) on Xylon. Also, it was noted in the Xylon thread that the kernel works on a couple other aosp roms so I would assume it will work with PA.
Thanks in advance!
Test and measure results yourself. All phones and preferences are not created equally.

Yeah I know I know... This post is irrelevant anywho, PA would just bootloop haha (s-off, wiped etc. I did it right ). On to the next one!
Thanks though!
IIRC, you would have to use b5 or b6 because of some changes made to cm in november. I don't blame ya, I loved PA.

Yeah hopefully 3+ gets ported soon halo is shweet. My gf wanted a new phone and I told her to get the Nexus 4. Why? Why? I just torture myself everytime I look at all the ports / roms / HALO etc. that they have for it. Not knocking our devs just jealous of the N4

Any Dirty Unicorns Developers around with an N5?

Howdy guys!!
I've been a long time CyanogenMod user on my N4, but with the recent commercialization events, and the fact that they've now dropped support for Franco Kernel, I'd like to move away to something else.
There was a great Google spreadsheet comparing all the ROMs, and it sees to me that Dirty Unicorns is somewhere in-line with CyanogenMod, and even more-so feature rich.
Just wondering if there are any Dirty Unicorns developers out there that have an N5 and are thinking about bringing the ROM to us.
Also, side question, is there anyone using the DU rom with francoKernel currently on another device? Is that an option?

as of right now none of us have the Nexus 5 and we try not to build for devices we do not own.I currently supports the Nexus 4 and if I were to get the Nexus 5 I would support it however I do not have any plans of purchasing one right now

Awwww man... Anywhere you could point me to what I would need to do to even begin to possibly support the device myself? I have an entire Linux environment. It's been quite some time since I've done any programming, but I'll support any way that I can!

first we have to wait for DU to move to 4.4. once that's done it should be rather easy from there.
If you're interested in building from source. I recommend reading this

Hey @shalkith, Do you happen to have a status as to whether or not DU has gone to 4.4.x yet? Also, any of you guys have a Nexus 5? I'm willing to donate a bit toward a phone for one of you guys if you're interested and willing.

[Q] ROM 4.4.3 HAMMERHEAD Mahdi-Rom 2.6

I am a pretty much new to all of this, have had some experience eg. I've rooted my phones in the past, installed custom roms. But that is as far as it goes. I am not a developer, I know nothing of posting logcats. I just flashed Mahdi-Rom 2.6, love it, I have absolutely no complaints. All I am doing is posting what I perceive to be a small glitch. Whether its fixed or not matters not to me, its not that big of a deal, and for all I know it may not even be a glitch, but if it is and you run into it, hopefully you do know how to present a proper logcat and maybe these awesome fellas here will help you out. Here is the glitch I am talking about. When in immerse mode and using pie, longpress is useless. Again, doesn't bother me at all, but I figured what the heck, might as well report it just in case it bothers someone else. Also screencapture doesn't work at all! Again I rarely if ever use it. I will say that this Rom, this website, this whole experience makes me wonder what took me so long to make the switch from apple to android. You guys rock!!!!

I'm also running Mahdi and the longpress works with SlimPIE in Immersive mode. Screenshots work too while using Vol down + power or any other option/app.

What ROMs are you guys running these days?

I have been using OnePlus One for more than a year and have been lurking around those forums. Wanted try using my old Nexus 5 again to see how it feels coming back to a smaller screen. Seems like the community here is a little less active. Understandable since the phone is getting close to 3 years old.
What are some of the promising ROMs that the cool people here are using? Searched around a bit and there aren't any recent threads on about it.

Here's a reason for you: Security patches.
Omni already has the May security updates. They had it the day after the code was pushed to AOSP.

Yeah, and I hope they keep it that way.
I'm waiting for the May update to hit PureNexus so I can back it up and flash Omni. :3

Thanks guy! I'm going to start with RR.
Stock + Xposed + Gravity Box is my choice... running the latest MOB30H since the first day it came out. :good:
you can also take a look at dirty unicorns.
I was stock+xposed+GB till I tried DU recently. so far so good.
Im running dirty unicorns as well, but if you run it be sure to flash a nice kernel like blu_spark or elemental X because the default DU kernel is kinda ****.

DU comes with most of the GB features? I'll have to check it out.
What about regular updates and stability?

Yes, it includes most of GB features.
DU has test builds, officials and weeklies. Officials and weeklies are very stable. Officials come out every month with security patches (if I'm not mistaken). You can read/download here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...om-dirty-unicorns-5-0-2-hammerhead-1-t3005810
