Help! i have the t-mobile variant, D80120e. did the 4.4.2 update, then rooted with towelroot, now i dont have the Download mode, i am trying to restore to the Stock firmware (Unroot) but its not letting me go to the download mode. i tried installing the TWRP recovery, but just soft bricked my phone, so when i try to restore through the device, it boots up to the lg screen and pops up an error on the top left of the screen. when i try to go in to download mode, (by holding the volume up, and plugging in the device) just boots up with the LG Logo and shows the battery charging, and my pc recognizes it. is their any way i can restore to stock firmware or unroot the device to its factory state?
I had the same problem I believe. I fixed it with this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
Everything worked. Make sure you use the sbl1.img, rpm.img, tz.img, aboot.img and twrp for TMO LG G2 D801. Do not use the downloads in the thread as they are for a different version of the LG G2 (D802 international version).

I had hoped to keep all my files and data. No luck, with that, but this method did allow me to restore the download mode and then i used the lg support tool. Back up and running

i have the p500h (koodo). basically, i bricked my phone following this guide: [HOW-TO] Simplified Root + Recovery + Custom ROM
i turned on usb debugging, then installed gingerbreak 1.20 , then it rebooted and i installed the VM670NH_recovery.img using the flash recovery gui app. then i turned off the phone and tried to boot into recovery by holding down teh button sequence, i saw the LG logo, but then when i let go of the buttons it simply turns off. if i try to boot normally without going into recovery i just see the LG logo forever. any suggestions?
i have tried to fix it with lgdmp in emergency mode after i came across this post but my phone doesnt show up when i go to select port

Recovery.img that you flashed is for the optimus v...You have to use a p500 recovery.img ONLY.

would that be found in Optimus One, P500 Original Android Development or Optimus One, P500 Android Development?? basically i searched for p500h recovery img but i didnt find anything for p500h specifically. would this one be compatible
[RECOVERY] Unofficial TWRP 2.2.2.1 Full Touch recovery??
Im guessing the only way to unbrick my phone now would be to kdz flash a compatible recovery onto it?
i also tried to use lgdmp + emergency mode to flash a new recovery as suggested in this post but my phone doesnt show up in lgdmp. (and i have installed the lg drivers found here )
also i should mention that i cant see the lg modem drivers in my device manager even though my phone is plugged in and in emergency mode
try this if it works, remove the battery and while pressing vol down conect usb cable(have to w8 a little) to see if something happens or your phone is detected (also remove sd card)
Try this one...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1060121
But be really careful and never remove your battery in Emergency mode.
thanks guys, i installed the android sdk which included some drivers and all of the sudden my phone was showing up in lgdmp. so i was able to flash recovery on it. the phone worked for a while, but now its bootlooping again. i have tried wiping data/cache/dalvik and flashing different roms on it but it still bootlooping at the lg logos
so i have a nexus s with a broken power button (rooted bootloader unlocked)
i decided to flash Slimkat 4.4.2 coming from cm11
the result was me being stuck at the Google logo. since i have no power button i could not enter fastboot my only option was download mode
This is where i really messed up i flashed a restore for i9023 instead of i9020a. this resulted in a total brick black screen on boot
odin still detects download mode but i am having issues locating proper files for i9020a.
Can anyone help me locate the proper files to flash via odin/ give me a possible solution thanks
I tried to restore stock recovery by flashing the stock firmware on my LG G2 through the KDZ method in download mode (when it worked) and the process was interrupted (accidentally disconnected midway through the process). Now the firmware is corrupt and I don't even have download mode to flash it back to normal. It does not get detected by the LG flash tool when I try to get into download mode.

Which G2 model do you have? Will the device go in fastboot mode when try enter recovery? In that case you can reflash recovery via fastboot.

I have a d803 (Canadian Variant). And there is no fastboot. When I reboot into bootloader, it just boots into system. And I'm not trying to re-flash recovery. I have CWM now, running Carbon Mod. But I don't have download mode, which I need to flash firmware.

Yeah, but now it's impossible for me to revert to LG stock, should I ever need to. I can't return it and upgrade, because the OS is different. I need download mode back, or an alternative method to flash kdz's.

So pretty much the same issue as this guy , but I did not flash a rom that was not for my device. I had rooted the device and bumped it with twrp, then attempted to wipe and flash the cloudy rom. Now, I get a device mismatch error when trying to restore.
Everything that's even remoting similar to my issue I found here. Please don't tell me to search either, there is a lot of telling people to search and not a lot of information about this issue, plus I already have, quite extensively... :/ .

I have tried with the g2 dll which bypass the verification but it provides a device mismatch G3 D850 d855 error. I can no longer boot the device past the initial encryption lock screen or boot into recovery, only download mode.
Also, the LG 2014 flash tool appears to be cdma, cab,kdz only. True?
Thanks
Pretty sure your bricked

I can get into download mode, sure. Recovery no, I have not been successful in booting back to recovery. I assume its turn the phone off. Turn the phone on while holding the down and volume, wait for LG, let go of power? or is it wait for lg logo let go of down? I don't have the device on me right now.
edit: re-read the flashing guide and someone suggested the F400k.dll. Will try that this evening.
Can you get into TWRP? If you can there's a stock Rom in the development section.

If you have bumped TWRP, the process for getting into your recovery is:
Turn the device off
Hold volume down and power until the LG logo appears
Release the power button for a split second while still holding volume down, then immediately press and hold power again
You'll see a "Factory data reset" prompt, press volume down to select "Yes" and press the power button (if you have TWRP installed, this won't actually erase your data)
It will ask you to confirm your selection - press volume down to select "Yes" and press the power button
The phone should now boot into TWRP recovery
Hopefully this helps.

You could flash stock, yeah. If I were you, I would try to flash CloudyG3 again - I've done it successfully on the 850 and it runs like a charm. That thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/rom-cloudyg3-1-0-t2917467
Be sure to check the md5 of the zip file before you flash to ensure that it matches the one posted on the ROM thread. It could be that your download got corrupted.
Boot into recovery, do the standard wipe, then install from zip. That's what I'd do, anyways! Good luck.

Thanks man, and thanks to everyone else also. I kinda feel dumb having searched so long last night and then it being this simple....
I rooted my phone a while ago in like April and for some reason it became unrooted a couple days ago for no apparent reason.
I tried Autoroot without success so then I tried TWRP without success because when I tried to boot into recovery I got a big red screen.
"****" I said but was able to boot up and decided to do a factory restore and then restore the firmware to stock with odin
This proved to be a huge mistake because after factory resetting the phone, it won't boot or go into download mode. It just shows this:
"Recovery not standard enforcing" then
http://i.imgur.com/Ky2D6hR.jpg
vid: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4488hz6wizmhozj/VID_20160712_132305.mp4?dl=0
Anything I can do or should I just sell it for parts at this point?:
No, it is hard to brick... but you have to follow the instruction carefully... your error is the consequence of ignoring...
Take a breath and start from the beginning... first install via odin a clean original image
How do I install an image with odin if the phone won't go into download mode?

Hello,
1. first, try the normal procedure by pressing POWER+VOL DOWN. This will force your device to hard reboot. When the screen comes black press immediately POWER+VOL DOWN+HOME to get on Download Mode
2. Install Odin on your windows and download the official ROM from the SamMobile's site
3. Not that much ahead the last step. Just open the correct files inside the ROM folder with odin and flash it
| IMPORTANT |
If you really can get to Download Mode DON'T forget to flash the BT file (bootloader) inside the ROM's folder. In other words, flash every file inside that folder and your device will boot
There is no chance of getting bootloop with official firmwares. So just be patient in the very first boot
