Corrupt Firmware and Download Mode on LG G2 - General Questions and Answers

I tried to restore stock recovery by flashing the stock firmware on my LG G2 through the KDZ method in download mode (when it worked) and the process was interrupted (accidentally disconnected midway through the process). Now the firmware is corrupt and I don't even have download mode to flash it back to normal. It does not get detected by the LG flash tool when I try to get into download mode.

Which G2 model do you have? Will the device go in fastboot mode when try enter recovery? In that case you can reflash recovery via fastboot.

I have a d803 (Canadian Variant). And there is no fastboot. When I reboot into bootloader, it just boots into system. And I'm not trying to re-flash recovery. I have CWM now, running Carbon Mod. But I don't have download mode, which I need to flash firmware.

Yeah, but now it's impossible for me to revert to LG stock, should I ever need to. I can't return it and upgrade, because the OS is different. I need download mode back, or an alternative method to flash kdz's.

That failed for me, because I couldn't get pass something, but I heard FreeGee is making something that fixes it via flashing. Thanks though.

Samsung S6 SM-G920X OS Problen

Hi, i installed TWRP to my s6 sm-g920x (live demo unit) and then wanted to install root, but the phone stays on "samsung s6" logo sreen. What can I do? I didn't found the 920x firmware. Factory data reset doesn't help.
Since you cannot flash stock rom, download a ROM and flash it through TWRP, or if you want, download UniKernel (ODIN version) then see if you can flash it through Download mode.

Connect your phone to computer while in TWRP, it should recognise it. If it doesn't, you might be forced to buy a USB-OTG, which is a USB that you can insert into your phone.

I will try with the USB-OTG.
When I connect while in TWRP it recognizes it, but when I paste there a custom rom (+640. MB) it gives me an error (the device had been quited or smth like that).

use ADB to push the file while in TWRP, the MTP connection seems broken. I have a stock rom for your device that I can link you to soon, once I've finished a write up for the device.

6039y unblock from stock recovery

Hi, I screwed up my phone (soft-bricked) trying to install TWRP and now my phone is stuck on the logo, it just stays there forever...
I can boot into recovery, but I can not boot into download mode, because as soon as I plug my phone in, it goes straight to the logo screen.
Basically I need a way to restore my boot.img - I have tried using the Alcatel update software but my phone will not show the battery screen because it is always stuck on the logo screen. If there is a stock update.zip please can I have it!!!
Thanks,
MasterDoctor
Update: I am trying to create my own update.zip to flash using the stock recovery software. I can now confirm that the problem is definitely caused due to the boot partition. I stupidly flashed TWRP to the boot partition and not the recovery partition using the Flashify App. Anyway, I am downloading an update.zip for a Nexus device and I'm going to try and hack together a zip to get my phone working.
If it works, I will post it here. If I haven't posted with another update, the problem is still ongoing so feel free to post with an idea.
try to repair your device using the official alcatel upgrade app. I think you will not be able to make update. zip flashable trough stock recovery since you will not sign it properly to be flashable trough stock recovery.

T-Mobile LG G2 D801 No download or recovery mode, only fastboot mode

Okay. For the better part of a month now I've been trying to fix my D801 LG G2 ever since I downloaded what I guess was the wrong twrp recovery for my phone. I had twrp 2.8.6.1 running CM 12.1 and then downloaded and flashed twrp 2.8.7.0 (don't ask me why, I'm still pretty angry at myself) which if I'm right is for an Lg g2 mini. So, it hard bricked the device and brought up a blank, black screen. I used something that I found off of here to bring it out of the hard brick state called srktools, which also has the option to fix the phone from fastboot mode only. Each time that I try using that mode, it just gets stuck on flashing the images. Now I don't know what to do or if there is anything that I can do, so any help will be appreciated. Thanks
I'm having close to the same problem, I flashed cm13 on my d801 with a hybrid bootstack but didn't flash a recovery before I booted into cm13. My phone boots now but I have no download mode or recovery only fastboot.
Does your phone boot up into cm 12 after using srktools?

I finally got my d801 fixed, I used This method to get download mode back from fastboot and then I used the tot method to flash back to stock from download mode.

Okay, thanks for the reply. I will definitely try that fix. Are the correct images also found on that post, or did you have to find them yourself?

The files you need are in the post.
How did you guys unlock the bootloader? FreeGee doesn't support the D801 30c and other unlock techniques are making me nervous as I see too many brick reports. My phone is properly rooted so I had pinned my hopes on FreeGee only to be disappointed.

GT-N8013 No fastboot Stock Recovery No OS

I tried flashing a stock rom with odin on my GT-N8013, and completely messed it up. The tablet is now just boots into stock recovery, and it can't boot into download mode. Holding volume up + power just reboots the tablet into recovery. Rebooting to bootloader with adb just reboots the device into recovery. There is also no os installed on the tablet. Sideloading using adb results in a fail. The recovery is <3e>. I've tried everything, and nothing seems to work. I have not found a similar problem on the web.
In recovery factory reset
Flash correct stock rom via Odin .
sources sammobile or samsung-updates .
Factory resetting deosn't change anything. The tablet still reboots into recovery with no fastboot
So you factory reset then flashed stock rom as per ?

You really need to provide details, specifics about what, exactly, you did and what, exactly, was the result--can't troubleshoot an unclear/unknown problem, especially if it looks like user error.
