so i have a nexus s with a broken power button (rooted bootloader unlocked)
i decided to flash Slimkat 4.4.2 coming from cm11
the result was me being stuck at the Google logo. since i have no power button i could not enter fastboot my only option was download mode
This is where i really messed up i flashed a restore for i9023 instead of i9020a. this resulted in a total brick black screen on boot
odin still detects download mode but i am having issues locating proper files for i9020a.
Can anyone help me locate the proper files to flash via odin/ give me a possible solution thanks

Help! i have the t-mobile variant, D80120e. did the 4.4.2 update, then rooted with towelroot, now i dont have the Download mode, i am trying to restore to the Stock firmware (Unroot) but its not letting me go to the download mode. i tried installing the TWRP recovery, but just soft bricked my phone, so when i try to restore through the device, it boots up to the lg screen and pops up an error on the top left of the screen. when i try to go in to download mode, (by holding the volume up, and plugging in the device) just boots up with the LG Logo and shows the battery charging, and my pc recognizes it. is their any way i can restore to stock firmware or unroot the device to its factory state?
I had the same problem I believe. I fixed it with this thread:

Everything worked. Make sure you use the sbl1.img, rpm.img, tz.img, aboot.img and twrp for TMO LG G2 D801. Do not use the downloads in the thread as they are for a different version of the LG G2 (D802 international version).

Hello, so my Samsung galaxy j7 (SM-J700F with android version 6.0.1) goes on bootloop after I tried to install xposed updates after rooting the device using odin and installing custom recovery twrp without much thinking (my bad). I tried to go to recovery mode by pressing volume up, power, and home buttons, but failed because it says "can't boot on normal mode invalid kernel length" , also I can't boot the device normally because it says the same thing and goes on bootloop. I searched for guides but all of them tell me to go to recovery mode which I can't. I can only go to download mode by pressing vol down, power and home buttons. I already backed up important files to external drive before the whole process, if I have to do a factory reset to fix this it doesn't matter. I'm very noob I'm not familiar with the language also I really appreciate your help asap thank you very much
You have to factory reset. Since your bootloader is still working (download mode), download your device firmware from sammobile and flash using odin.
Welcome to the android community and good luck!
hey guys
i have just got a Z5 E6683 and have successfully rooted and installed TWRP. however if i try to boot using the buttons (vol down + power) i get the lylic LED and im just stuck at the white sony boot screen. i can boot into recovery just fine via the quck boot app on my phone but it just wont boot into it via the button method.
does anyone know how to get it to boot into recovery because i need to restore a backup and would love to be able to boot into recovery via the buttons in case my phone doesnt boot after the restore.
FYI: i installed TWRP via fastboot using command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
im using stock android 7 firmware (.376)
cheers

[Solved]
Ok i was able to find out why its was doing that, i would appear that i had flashed the wrong recovery hence why it was having trouble booting, anyway fixed it by downloading and flashing this recovery via fastboot

Hi there,
I am trying to install an unofficial LineageOS V 13.0 to this tablet
I got some issues with TWRP, i followed some instruction videos.
I downloaded TWRP for the tablet : https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxytab2wifiunified.html
I opened odin and i went to the odin screen on the tablet ( power + vol - ) I Selected the .tar file at the AP section of Odin.
The installation was succesfull.
Now for entering the TWRP , ihave to press power + volume + buttom right? If i do that i get the boot screen from the tablet and i enter the android recovery ( the android on hes back, belly open with a red ! inside ) But it won't boot TWRP.
Any suggestions?

You've got to boot into recovery after flashing twrp. If you dont, stock recovery get rewritten.

Bricked it???
Ok, so I installed the twrp311-20180416-BIGSYS.zip onto my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5110. Since reboot back into recovery, the tablet has effectively bricked completely... doesn't turn on at all. It had 70+% power at time of install but nothing doing. It doesn't even register that it's plugged into the charger (ie no charging indicators). Have I truly bricked this old bad boy???
Any direction or help towards a fix greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Bigsys.zip?
You sure you used the right recovery for your variant?
If not you might have bricked your tablet... Some other devices have a different partition layout (e.g recovery partition where we have our efs partition) which could brick a device if it's not made for that device.
For p31xx and p51xx you can get twrp also as .tar.md5 for Odin here: http://andi34.github.io/recoveries_tab2.html
Hello people!
I have a J400F phone model, I was working with android 9 rooted & working well, I updated to android 10 with a fresh install, the phone works well, and I wanted to use a custom recovery TWRP and root the phone, it stuck in boot loop, this is how I flashed:
- Used Odin with the latest stock firmware "J400FXXU6CTGO".
- restart the phone, and the bootloader is already unlocked "OEM Unlocked".
- Downloaded TWRP for J400F from halabtech, flashed it, then rebooted to recovery.
- In home screen, Wipe --> Format.
- With TWRP I flashed RMM_Bypass_v3_corsicanu.zip then no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1.zip
After this I tried booting to system but then It kept rebooting after reaching the samsung logo.
Any help is appreciated guys.
I managed to access the download mode by taking out the battery, put it back in the phone, connect it to USB in the computer, press vol down and home button and you should be able to enter the download mode to flash the stock ROM (still reading on the second part).
