How to fix my Samsung Galaxy J7 on bootloop without recovery mode? - General Questions and Answers

Hello, so my Samsung galaxy j7 (SM-J700F with android version 6.0.1) goes on bootloop after I tried to install xposed updates after rooting the device using odin and installing custom recovery twrp without much thinking (my bad). I tried to go to recovery mode by pressing volume up, power, and home buttons, but failed because it says "can't boot on normal mode invalid kernel length" , also I can't boot the device normally because it says the same thing and goes on bootloop. I searched for guides but all of them tell me to go to recovery mode which I can't. I can only go to download mode by pressing vol down, power and home buttons. I already backed up important files to external drive before the whole process, if I have to do a factory reset to fix this it doesn't matter. I'm very noob I'm not familiar with the language also I really appreciate your help asap thank you very much

You have to factory reset. Since your bootloader is still working (download mode), download your device firmware from sammobile and flash using odin.
Welcome to the android community and good luck!

When i turn on my phone it shows me this i can not do anything when i try to download firmware on this phone by using odin it fails every time
Hello, we need some more infos to be able to help you. Do you have a custom rom on it? Which recovery do you use. As the galaxy nexus is an offical dev phone there are many ways you can fix this. On the first sight it looks as if it would directly boot into recovery but there is no recovery on the phone (bad picture btw).
Try to boot into bootloader (phone off, hold power and vol down) that should bring you into the bootloader from where on you can flash a new recovery partiton.

The 3 button combination in order to start the phone in Recovery Mode (where wipe options are) should be volume UP + home + power.
Avoid the volume DOWN combination because that is for Download Mode.
Try start in Recovery Mode several times because sometimes the proper combination timing is not detected.
If really the phone can't start in Recovery Mode, you should flash the official firmware again via Odin, following the procedure with caution. An important, sometimes overrated action related to flashing via PC is that any antivirus (firewall mainly) must be turned off before the flashing procedure, in order to avoid (invisible) conflicts when transfering data through USB ports.

First of all the boot up loop is caused because you have not wiped the cache and dalvik cache (may be).
Since the recovery is not booting means, there is some error with flashing.
What you can do right now is to flash the Original Stock Rom using Odin, the original stock OS itself contains the recovery partition.

S6 Stuck on Samsung S6 powered by Android screen

Hi everybody,
I guess i need some help, i got a S6 with a strange problem. It's stuck on the Samsung S6 powered by Android screen.
I tried almost everything. It's not my own phone so it's kinda hard to know exactly what caused the problem.
The story is that it was running perfectly with some custom rom, when using skype it suddenly shut down and got stuck on the logo. Now, i can go into download mode but not into recovery. So, i flashed twrp with odin with no problem, odin says completed. But when i start recovery it only says "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" and stays on that combined with the s6 boot logo. After that i tried flashing the stock rom again with odin , also going perfectly but same story , stuck on logo. I also tried 5.1.1 , 6.0.1 , bootloader, kernel, etc etc but all of them same story, stuck on logo....
Now i tried restoring the device with smart switch, and it did that perfectly with no errors, but after it got finished it restarted and u guess it...... stuck on logo!
So... i'm running out of ideas, any of u got some?
Thanx in advance
go into what recovery you have, stock or custom and wipe dalvik and cache and reboot then wait up to 15 mins

If that was possible.... Recovery doesn't boot, i can only go into download mode. I can flash a recovery (or rom, bootloader , modem ,everything) without any problem with odin (no errors) but that's it. When trying to boot into recovery it just gets stuck again.
Keep trying to access twrp via key or button combo
Any update on this?
SM-G920F - NanoRom
If got the same Problem is there any Help ????
Maybe you are doing the enter into recovery button press timing wrong, etc. Its easy to mess up. Keep trying to get into recovery or give the phone to someone else to try enter recovery. The phone needs to be off first.
OR if you reboot via volume down and power which is what you have to on s6 since there is no battery to remove, you need to quickly switch t volume up power and home.
Enter in download mode flash TWRP WITH ODIN. THAN REFLASH A STOCK OR CUSTOM ROM.
---------- Post added at 02:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:04 PM ----------
In other words:reflash TWRP with ODIN. It will reboot straight into TWRP after flashing

When you get to the download mode don't press volume down to enter. Instead press vol up + home + power to enter recovery. This has worked for me so I'm sure it will work in your situation. Good Luck
And when you are doing the button combination to get into recovery, try not releasing any of the buttons until you see TWRP image

Stuck at Boot Loop, Need Help..

Here's the story,
This is my dad's phone. He just recently bought it. Out of nowhere, it stuck in bootloop (screen only show phone's model). He asked me if I can fix it.
I tried recovery mode and failed. It can't enter recovery mode. So I should fix it via download mode, right?
The thing is, I don't even know the firmware's phone. So I'm assuming it is Indonesian, cause I live in Indonesia.
I flash using odin and it passed but the phone still stuck.
When rebooting, the boot screen flashing 3-5 times (show phone's model - black screen - show phone's model - black screen - and so on), then stuck at boot screen again.
This is weird. So I thought maybe wrong firmware. I tried India and Phillipines (global) firmware too but the problem still exist.
I don't know how to solve it. Please help.
Phone's model: SM-J700F/DS

try this guide I made for restoring stock firmware from Samsung sever with the smartswitch app for Windows.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/j700t-development/how-to-restore-j700t1-model-to-t3423455
but you NEED YOUR SERIAL# AND MODEL # of that phone!
Fix # I dont know - if it works
Try this if it helps....
You will need ( link unavailable due to my little amount of posting and not using this account):
Galaxy J7 USB Drivers for the phone
The stock ROM for the phone (exact firmware)
Odin
First install Samsung Galaxy J7 USB drivers on Windows PC. Then Download the Samsung Galaxy J7 Stock Firmware from the link above and extract the folder on your desktop.
Download ODIN flash tool to flash the firmware on your phone. Extract the folder and you will see the ODIN.exe file in the folder.
Now Turn off your Galaxy J7 and Boot in download mode.(Hold down Volume Down + Home + Power button at the same time)
Once your Galaxy J7 is in download mode. Connect it to the PC with USB cable and run the ODIN.exe file on your desktop.
If everything is right and drivers are working properly. You will see the blue box on the ODIN screen, if not reinstall the drivers again and reboot your PC.
Now select the AP option from the ODIN screen and select the firmware file that you extracted
Hit the Start button from the ODIN screen to start the flashing process.
Once completed you will see the PASS messages on the ODIN and Phone will reboot automatically. Now you can disconnect your phone.
IMPORTANT:. If your phone is still stuck on the boot loop or in the Samsung Android Logo, then turn off the phone and reboot in recovery mode. TO do this Hold down Volume Up + Home + Power button at the same time. Now from recovery select Wipe Data/Factory Reset and after that Wipe cache partition. Now reboot you phone. If you are using a custom recovery, just wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition again.
DONE!!!! You unbricked your Galaxy J7. Now your Phone is running the stock ROM. Check it on the setting. ENJOY..

Try to install TWRP on the phone, then try to wipe out the stock firmware that installed. And of course, reinstall the original stock firmware that come on that region. Its actually came from Indonesia, so be sure to install the right one.

TWRP on samsung tab a GT-P5110

Hi there,
I am trying to install an unofficial LineageOS V 13.0 to this tablet
I got some issues with TWRP, i followed some instruction videos.
I downloaded TWRP for the tablet : https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxytab2wifiunified.html
I opened odin and i went to the odin screen on the tablet ( power + vol - ) I Selected the .tar file at the AP section of Odin.
The installation was succesfull.
Now for entering the TWRP , ihave to press power + volume + buttom right? If i do that i get the boot screen from the tablet and i enter the android recovery ( the android on hes back, belly open with a red ! inside ) But it won't boot TWRP.
Any suggestions?

You've got to boot into recovery after flashing twrp. If you dont, stock recovery get rewritten.

Thanks for your responce !
Bricked it???
Ok, so I installed the twrp311-20180416-BIGSYS.zip onto my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5110. Since reboot back into recovery, the tablet has effectively bricked completely... doesn't turn on at all. It had 70+% power at time of install but nothing doing. It doesn't even register that it's plugged into the charger (ie no charging indicators). Have I truly bricked this old bad boy???
Any direction or help towards a fix greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Bigsys.zip?
You sure you used the right recovery for your variant?
If not you might have bricked your tablet... Some other devices have a different partition layout (e.g recovery partition where we have our efs partition) which could brick a device if it's not made for that device.
For p31xx and p51xx you can get twrp also as .tar.md5 for Odin here: http://andi34.github.io/recoveries_tab2.html
