[Q] help!!! bricked my p500h installing recovery - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i have the p500h (koodo). basically, i bricked my phone following this guide: [HOW-TO] Simplified Root + Recovery + Custom ROM
i turned on usb debugging, then installed gingerbreak 1.20 , then it rebooted and i installed the VM670NH_recovery.img using the flash recovery gui app. then i turned off the phone and tried to boot into recovery by holding down teh button sequence, i saw the LG logo, but then when i let go of the buttons it simply turns off. if i try to boot normally without going into recovery i just see the LG logo forever. any suggestions?
i have tried to fix it with lgdmp in emergency mode after i came across this post but my phone doesnt show up when i go to select port

Recovery.img that you flashed is for the optimus v...You have to use a p500 recovery.img ONLY.

would that be found in Optimus One, P500 Original Android Development or Optimus One, P500 Android Development?? basically i searched for p500h recovery img but i didnt find anything for p500h specifically. would this one be compatible
[RECOVERY] Unofficial TWRP 2.2.2.1 Full Touch recovery??
Im guessing the only way to unbrick my phone now would be to kdz flash a compatible recovery onto it?
i also tried to use lgdmp + emergency mode to flash a new recovery as suggested in this post but my phone doesnt show up in lgdmp. (and i have installed the lg drivers found here )
also i should mention that i cant see the lg modem drivers in my device manager even though my phone is plugged in and in emergency mode

try this if it works, remove the battery and while pressing vol down conect usb cable(have to w8 a little) to see if something happens or your phone is detected (also remove sd card)

Try this one...

But be really careful and never remove your battery in Emergency mode.

thanks guys, i installed the android sdk which included some drivers and all of the sudden my phone was showing up in lgdmp. so i was able to flash recovery on it. the phone worked for a while, but now its bootlooping again. i have tried wiping data/cache/dalvik and flashing different roms on it but it still bootlooping at the lg logos

[Q] LG p505 stuck at LG screen....

and nothing I do get's it to go away. I have spent the better part of 8 hours screwing around with it and can't figure it out. Here is what I know:
If you just try and turn on the phone sans power cord, it won't turn on. If you plug it it, it displays the LG screen and stops. If you hold down the power, down, home keys, then power cable, it will boot into fastboot and take fastboot commands. I have followed the procedure to flash a recovery image listed here in the forums to no avail. It will erase the recovery, flash it, but will not reboot on the reboot command. When I disconnect the data cable and reconnect, it will go right back to the LG screen. I have tried KDZ and downloaded the original rom via the Original LG Firmware tool. It will communicate with the phone if I put the phone in emergency mode via the simultaneous back and volume down button while connecting the power cable. KDZ will start to install the rom but after some time, the phone spontaneously reboots and then hangs at the LG screen. Upon reboot back into emergency, the KDZ routine finishes and says it's finished but when I reboot it goes right back to the LG screen. I have tried the kdz tool in diag and emergency modes while shaking the phone. I have tried the software update tool but it says it cant communicate properly with the phone. I don't know what else to try.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a bunch!
After you succesfully flashed the recovery using fastboot, do you try to boot into recovery manually?
If that doesn't works you could try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827723

By recovery do you mean clockworkmod? If so, the phone is stock, unrooted so no, if not, what do you mean and how do I do that?
Thanks a bunch!
PS, If I follow the method I found for entering recovery it goes right back to fastboot.
PS Part two, the app you link did the same thing as I did manually and did not help.... thanks anyway...

Hey jackler1, it will not allow you to install any custom recovery if your phone is still not rooted as you mentioned.
Hence using the Home+Vol-+power combo takes you to the fast boot screen.
1st thing you need to do is to root the phone, for it to allow installation of a custom recovery.
Many root tools are available for the P500 - eg Gingerbreak, Super one click.
try this for rooting - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832485

[Q] Help, my device won't boot!

So basically I rooted my LG p500h and installed a ROM through ROM manager, the thing is that when I rebooted the device I got stuck at the analog to the Android logo that shows up after the LG logo. I flashed an stock ROM through KDZ update software but after the program did it's thing, I did hard reset the phone and got the same problem: won't boot up and forever stuck at the android logo. I can get to emergency mode tho and when usb connected will show the battery charging up. I have searched solutions and I haven't reached one yet so everyone told me to post here and ask for some help! I hope it's not the end of my device Any help is sincerly appreciated!

Much as I hate to say it, ROM Manager is not friendly to our devices. Secondly, stay away from KDZ too. But don't panic. You do have options. You will need to use either ADB and dd commands, or fastboot and fastboot mode. Since you can't boot, most likely the ADB way won't work ATM. Both methods require either the ADB binaries or the Android SDK. An alternate method would be Android Flash Recovery. There is a link in my signature. There are complete instructions in the download. On thing, put the device in fastboot mode before connecting it to the PC.
Enter into emergency mode, BACK+VOL UP+POWER
then follow this guide to flash recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15217609&postcount=3
After that enter into recovery, HOME+VOL DOWN+POWER
then wipe data/factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache, format system then flash a rom of your choice like oxygen, cm9 present in development section.
Then reboot

Odd enough, I plugged in the device to the computer after the USB drivers got installed (following all the instructions given by the files provided), I went to the bathroom and left the cell phone unattended, just to find it boot up! weird. Anyways your advice was very helpful and very clear! Now I will figure out how to get my old ROM for my country. Thanks again!

[q] lg optimus 3d stuck ! Help!

I have a LG Optimus 3D.
I download xperia ROM for my phone and placed on my phone's sd card.
I wiped data, cache, dalvik cache and formatted system and flashed the rom.
Sadly, i have waited for more than 15 minutes waiting for my phone to boot but :nothing .
I tried to access my cwm recovery but i couldn't.
So does formatting system removes recovery or am i pressing wrong buttons sequence for getting into cwm recovery ?
My phone now boots then turns off automatically.
ANY HELP PLEASE?
THANKS ANYONE!
Anyone please ??
Are you positive that the ROM is ported for P920? I doubt it. After all, Xperia is Sony hardware... -____-; Usually, wrong firmware will result in nothing, and even on right firmware, bad voltage settings will do that (it may either sit there doing nothing or keep resetting).
If you have bricked it, grab wpark's OMAP4 flash utility and the driver therein, and then flash V1.25 compatible CWMR via fastboot, and/or perform software update after flashing wpark's bootloader (with LG flash tool ready awaiting for the phone, plug USB in with phone off and press both power and volume up and let go once it boots up with Korean message informing of software update mode - the tool will flash both BIN and FLS files of the chosen COMPATIBLE firmware - P925, 920 and/or SU760 but just use the flash partition DLL for the specific model - found that out the hard way).
P.S. To enter the recovery, press volume down and 3D button at the same time while turning it on and don't let go unless either the CWMR boots up, or wpark's own BIOS informs that it's entering the CWMR (I think you may hold that until you are in the recovery).

Boot loop P500

Hi.
I installed the rom 4.4.4 OS2SD with twrp 2.7.1.0, but because i didn't have baseband (no phone signal) i tried to apply the bbfix, but twrp always said that didnt success installing the zip, so i installed clockworkmod to change recovery to cwm, but i, for some mistake that i don't know how, installed another version that wasn't recommended to P500 (4.0... something), and when restart the phone it loops in lg logo (not freeze) and everytime i put the usb cable it starts automaticly and loops the lg logo, not being able to use the lg tool to flash original firmware.
I can't start the recovery menu (with home, vol , power - combo), only emergency mode can be accessed, but i don't know how to recover anything.
what can i try to do? or the phone is bricked?
Thanks for the attention!

no recovery, no download mode, how to flash new rom with ADB? (lg g2d802)

Hey everybody. A tough one (I think).
After flashing a new rom my LG G2 (D802) touch screen doesn't really work. Cannot do almost anything.
Besides, cannot enter Recovery mode and even when trying to reboot to download mode - it works but I could'nt push anything with LG Flash tool - It just does'nt work.
Tried to Root the phone through ADB, unsuccessfully.
ADB works fine - recognizes the phone and everything. I somehow succeeded to move it to USB debugging mode, but when trying to reboot to recovery I receive the image of the dead android with the red triangle.
How can I flash a new ROM through ADB?
Help needed.
Thanks a lot !!!
