[Q] Stuck At Boot Loader - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I updated the CWM to 6.x and tried to install KitKat 4.4.4 on my P500 and now, it stuck at bootloaded. Tried different ROMs but still stuck at bootloader.
I am able to open CWM recovery, install zip even can mount USB or /system and run adb shell. Able to connect it in emergency mode (PC detects it), but KDZ does not recognize the phone.
I tried the LG support tool, that told me that the software is already up-to-date. When I try to update recovery, it stuck at 11% and says there is some issue in PC communication.
Can this be an issue of baseband? I am not sure what to try next.
***Have removed the sd-card also to see if that helps.
*** also tried on different machines with xp, win 7, win 8.
Can anyone help?

If you can boot to recovery then do the following:
1) Wipe dalvik-cache
2) Wipe cache
3) Format /system
4) Format /userdata or /data
5) Reinstall ROM
6) Reinstall GApps
7) Reboot
When upgrading or changing between major versions, ie; JellyBean to KitKat, it's highly recommended to format your system and userdata partitions.

you didn't say wich rom/thread etc, however
could you try this:
take this cwm the january's
take this rom the 7.1 version.
enter in recovery mode
flash the above cwm
flash the rom :fingers-crossed:
after that if you want to flash a kitkat, if it's an OS2SD or not use twrp 2.7.0.1 multi (bigsupersquid's & HardLight's twrp for p500)
this version have tls enabled

Now stuck at LG boot logo infinite loop

Did you make the format /system /androidsecure /data etc..?
change the SD card, re-download the rom 7.1 & the twrp 2.7.0 multi, and retry (corrupted data/download problem?)
else go back to older cwm v5 and try older ics based rom.
i don't want to suggest to you to use LGMDP or KDZ because with that you can really break the phone. take that as last chances
i've a p500 for test, i've seen a lot of "black after LG logo", but everytime when i had possibility to enter the recovery, a new flash (recovery, rom or both) solved problems
To wipe clean 100% and install a new rom
Select “wipe data/factory reset
Select “yes”
Go to “mounts and storage”
Select “format /boot”
Select “yes”
Select “format /system”
Select “yes”
Back out of that menu to the main one again and select “advanced”
Select “Wipe Dalvik Cache”
Select “yes”

It's also good to check the Md5 sums of the recovery and rom.zip, if Md5 sums don't match, you will have a corrupt download.

How to fix 'E: Can't Mount Cache' in CWM

This happens when you wipe the cache, but it does not mean anything is wrong with your phone.
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log and the other five errors are similar to this.
PERFORM A BACKUP PRIOR TO THIS
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE.
Start by going into your recovery..
If you want to keep the ROM you have, then follow these directions. When flashing a new ROM follow the next set of directions.
KEEPING YOUR CURRENT ROM
1) Go into your recovery
2) Go to mounts and storage
3) Format /cache x3
4) Go to advanced in the main menu
5) Reboot recovery
If it is not working, repeat the steps.
FLASHING A NEW ROM
1) Go into your recovery
2) Format /system /data /cache x3 (Like any normal flashing of a ROM)
3) Install the ROM you want to use
4) Go to mounts and storage
5) Format /cache
6) Go to advanced in the main menu
7) Reboot recovery
8) Boot into your newly flashed ROM
I made this thread because some people still have this error show up even though it doesn't affect the way you flash a ROM.. It's just annoying to see that come up every time you hit the back button in CWM.

I have the same problem.
I tried methods:
$ su
#dd if = / sdcard / recovery.img of = / dev / block / mmcblk0p13
It does not work.
I installed the stock rom and checked the partition mmcblk0p13 with "Partition Table" and the partition is not mounted.
Maybe this is the problem?

Do you think that someone will be looking to solve the problem?
It seems to me that the problem occurs only in the new models that have been bought recently.
I tried to install the older stock firmware but it did not help.
None of the methods that have been on the forum does not work.
The problem occurs only when WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET.

yea getting the same problem here.
cant mount system
cant mount cache
and most of all when install custom ROM. cannot continue since non of those partitions cannot mount properly.
and other errors are flooding the recovery, we have tried Philz, CWM, TWRP. same annoying problems.
Hello,
On another website I found this:
"All worked fine but that like of command in terminal you put there isn't right, i did this
$ su [and then enter]
# dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p32 [and then enter]
# reboot recovery [and then enter]
PS: the $ comes automatically when you start the terminal emulator app; the # comes automatically after you allow the super user [in $ su]
Do consider all the "Spaces" between symbols and paths!"
Has anyone used this method?

Revert Back To Miui V5 from Miui V6 in Redmi 1S

Hey Guyz,
I found a new way to revert back to MIUI V5 from MIUI V6.
As me many of us hav very slow internet connection due to which we are not able to download via TWRP recovery Manager. To avoid downloading i found new way
## First, you have to root your phone.
Steps:
Download the file Root_HM1S_MIUI6_Global.zip and put it in root of sdcard (Use internal)
Launch the Updater app
From the menu select 'Choose update package', and navigate to root of sdcard and select Root_HM1S_MIUI6_Global.zip
The updater app now reboots into the recovery, installs the update and then reboot
After the reboot has finished, You will able to see a new app namely SuperSU.
Open it one popup will aris and choose 'Continue' to update the SU binary
7. In the next dialog select 'Normal' and an updated su binary will get installed
8. Finally confirm to 'Reboot' after the successful installation
## Now Download Flashify App
## After that download TWRP or Philz Recovery and extract it
##There u will find the recovery.img file navigate it to root of sdcard
##Now Open Flashify App
##Select Recovery image
##There Select choose a file
##And navigate to the Image and select it..
##Wait for few seconds popup will appear Flash complete and there select reboot now
##Now you will reboot to recovery
For TWRP Recovery:
#Now open recovery and go to wipe. And go to advance menu and wipe you all data internal storage an everything except external storage.
#After successfully wipe your phone. Go to reboot menu and reboot to recovery. It will back you again to TWRP recovery.
#Now select install. And it will show your phone storage but you can go up lavel A and choose external_SD and select your download v5 ROM.
#After select the ROM flash it....
#And it will successfully flash(it may take some time) and now touch reboot option below.
#Successfully Reverted back to MIUI V5
For Philz Touch Recovery
#Navigate to Wipe and Format Option
#Select Wipe Cache , Dalvik Cache, And then Select Factory Reset
#After that Select "Clean to Install a New ROM"
#Now Select ++++Go Back++++
#Select Install Zip
#Choose zip from external sdcard and Select the ROM
#Wait for few minutes and then reboot
#Successfully reverted back to MIUI V5..

Hit Thanks If I helped you
no matter which custom rom I flash, always gets stuck in bootloop
I'm not new to flashing roms and stuffs. I'm on CM11 on RedMi 1S. Now whenever I tried a different rom(say CM12.1) even after following each instructions correctly, the phone always gets stuck in bootloop( the CM avatar). Please help me out from this problem. I'm using TWRP.

how to flash any custom ROM for your device.

Hi there
NOTE: please follow this steps one by one.
Disclaimer: i am not responsible if your device got bricked, i use this method for my samsung galaxy A20e and it works.
well when i wanted to flash a custom rom for the first time, i didn't find any steps to follow, i just picked out the rom then flash it via twrp and rebooted and that was a big mistake, the rom booted but i wasn't able to do anything, so today you will see the right way to flash .
First of all, you need to have twrp installed.
then download the rom version that you want for example, i used this rom for my device: https://sourceforge.net/projects/derpfest/files/a20e/
next put the file that you have downloaded in an sdcard.
then reboot to recovery, you can do it by powering off your phone then hold the volume up and power keys until you see twrp's logo.
click wipe option, the advanced, after that check all the partitions there except sdcard and usb-otg (and vendor if it is not included), for my device i wiped system, vendor, data, cache, dalvik and cache, but it may be different for you, now swipe to the right to confirm wiping.
when the wiping process has been finished, exit advanced wipe and choose format data, you will be asked if you are sure, type yes.
go back to the main twrp window, then select flash, click select storage and choose sdcard(or usb-otg if you are using it), then you will see the zip file and install it.
reboot and that's it !! it is depending on your phone's speed now, just be patience.
enjoy your time in that rom, cause you will change it soon *__*.

Fastboot runs instead of TWRP | Fastboot loop

After unlocking the bootloader, I flashed TWRP according to these instructions, and everything worked:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
To keep TWRP on, you need to go to Advanced > Sing boot and in the window that appears, slide the blue slider to the right, after which the smartphone will reboot.
Then I followed these firmware instructions:
1. Make a backup of personal data (memory will be formatted)!
2. After unlocking boot and installing TWRP.
3. Make vipes in TWRP: "Adwanced Wipe" - Dalvik/ART Cache, Data, Cache, System - all except Internal Storage! Then go to TWRP, you can't get out of it yet!
4. In the menu "Mount" should be set only one mark "Data" - Connect to the computer - In "Note9/Internal Storage" on the computer to throw RADIO-m1923-... and install it - "Wipe Cache/Dalvik".
5. Make vipes in TWRP: "Format Data" - go to the main in TWRP (in "Mount" should be marked "Data").
6. In "Note9/Internal Storage" drop the firmware itself MK100.0-m1923-... - in the menu item "Install" look for files on the path: "/data/media/0" (to get to the memory root press "Install Image" - "Up A Level" - "Install Zip") - install - "Wipe Cache/Dalvik", reboot into the system!
At the last point in TWRP there was an error saying that the image was not installed, and I was asked if I wanted to boot with the system not installed, and I said yes
After that, no matter what I do or exactly how I try to enter recovery, I always boot into Fastboot
SOLVED
I solved this problem by reflashing to the stock recovery with dump, and reflashed to the stock firmware with stock recovery
The firmware was working and then I flashed the TWRP back and the custom firmware
Then it turned out that twrp has a format button which I didn't notice and the new firmware didn't run because of that

I tried this with the stock firmware and the command:

But it seems the stock flyme firmware does not contain this file and is not recognized by fastboot:
archive does not contain 'android-info.txt'
fastboot: error: could not read android-info.txt
