Wondering if it is possible to change where the sms notification pops up. To me it would make the most sense to have it go in the center of the screen, but I guess the top left corner is usually out of the way of most content. Anyone know if this is possible?

Hi,
Is it possible to disable the "Call History" line on The TouchFLO Home?
I ask because it is bad UI. Even if you have _no_ missed calls, there is still a glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark, which indicates to me that there is a missed call. Very annoying.
Same prob
hey,
having the same prob. Cleared the complet call history, but in the home screen is still the glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark.
anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks !
U can get rid of the 'glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark'
just copy 1bbfdc9b_manila from your phone and edit it in Manila Editor...
The 'glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark' image is there among other icons and pictures....
but if u change the look of the clock it will bring back the 'glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark' image
sorry, the phrase 'glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark' just got stuck in my head
Is there a way to actually fix it so that it will show the missed call icon when u have a missed call and a normal icon when you dont?
thanks
Scary
Even if it would just stop glaring, that would be ok.
Anthropomorphism or wot?
The whole Call History bar is horrible imo. It's taking up valuable real estate better served by my calendar.
It would be better served being a tab with an indicator up on the very top bar when a call was actually missed and/or a little number on the tab when that happens.
Venting is gooooood.

How do i do this?
Anyone worked out how to do this yet? I hardly get any calls on mine which I use for work, mainly use it as a modem and email to our exchange server. I also therefore want to get rid of it.
Looked around, but I can't find a way
Same issue!
So there's no fix yet? It's really bugging me, looks like there's a missed call when there's nothing.

Hey all,
I've got a Verizon SGS3 and I had a couple questions.
1. The notification power widget. It's got so much stuff and it takes up a lot of room on the notification shade. Is there a way to eliminate it or remove some of the useless ones? I never use bluetooth.
2. There's also a weird icon next to my 4G icon near the clock. Anyone know what it is? http://i.imgur.com/Cat4R.png And if I can get rid of it?
Also, bonus question: A way to remove all the useless ****ing share options for pictures/other files? I will never use S-Memo, Color, Group Cast, Messaging, Backup-assistant plus to share any of this ****. Go away.
Me too!
I have disabled everything I can think of and this icon will not go away!

I believe that's the "Wi-Fi Notification" icon that is persistent in Verizon SGS3 phones.
The only way currently known to disable it is to root the phone and modify a database value use a SQLite Editor.
I have a first world problem: When I'm on a call and want to access the notification bar, my screen turns off--I think because the light sensor is effected by my hand.
Use case: I'm on a call, realize I want to switch to Bluetooth, and want to go to the notification bar to access settings or click on the bluetooth tile, but the screen goes dark. So, I have to put the phone down, and carefully access the bar making sure my hand doesn't get in the way. Is there a way to get around this?
UPDATE: I just got an answer from someone else off this board: While on a call, press the "home" button/icon that takes you to your launcher and then access the Notification bar--the screen will then stay on without a problem.

I just posted a fix to my original post, above.
Alternately... You could install a launcher with gesture setting as to double tap in the home screen to toggle/expand notification bar.. So you don't have to get your fingers near the top at all... Cheers

Hi, i've recently aquired the Galaxy S7 and right now i'm really happy with it. The question is about how the notifications appears on the lockscreen or the notification panel. Somehow the quick buttons of a notification are visible more to the right and not well centered i think. That's the little problem, more esthetic than other thing but i want to know if it happens to all or is it just me.
PS: I attach screenshots with the version of Android, screen adjustments and the notification itself.
Thanks in advance.

Well, it actually depends on the app since not all of the notifications have those controls. So it's not a problem, because everyone has those controls to the right. But if you want to change those controls you must install a custom rom, otherwise there is not much you can do about it.
Are you talking about the clickable notification banners that appear in both the notification drop-down and on the lock screen? From your screenshots they don't appear to be more toward the right than the left to me. The text appears to the right of the avatar/app icon block, but that's normal in order to make room for the images. Or maybe I'm missing your point?
EDIT:
If you're talking about the RESPONDER and RETWITTER button links, they look very centered under the text body of the banner notification message. Again, the text body is positioned to the right to account for the image area on the left.

Sorry if my point doesn't understend very well. Yes, what a mean is about the RESPONDER and RETWITTER buttons and so the heart button, it has to say ME GUSTA or something like that. With my other smartphone (XPERIA Z1) this not happened. So this is why im consulting this, if it's something normal of GALAXY S7 or app related.

I think your screenshot shows them in the normal position. They are right-aligned within the banner rectangle and fairly well centered under the text block above them. You have to realize those links that you call buttons are themselves additional text, so will appear appended within the text block area which is right-aligned to allow for the image area on the left.
Can someone walk me through this? Totally new to Pixel phones. Been using LG for the last 10 years.
I have Nova Launcher installed and it seems to be working properly with no issues.
I'm getting written notifications on my lock screen whenever a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to posts a new video. I don't want that. (This is happening on most of my apps)
In the past with the LG, i'd just get a tiny colored bubble with a number on the app's icon on my home screen. That's what I'm trying to accomplish with the P7P. Is there a way to get the phone to do this?

Just long press on the notification and toggle off notifications.

Thank you!
I've tried that on the lock screen, and it takes me to a page asking me if I want to unsubscribe from notifications from that YouTube channel. Is this correct? I do still want to get a bubble on the app's icon on my home screen letting me know I have unseen content.

Hmm, I don't think so. Have you tried it once you've unlocked the lock screen? Please see screenshot.
Didn't make a difference.
If "notifications “ are turned off, will I still get the little dot on the app icon?
Ok, I may have an idea.
In the notifications settings area....
Pic below, set hide silent notifications from the lock screen. Then long press the notification in the status bar and set them to silent.
They will still show in your status bar and app icon.
Downside to my plan is if you have, for example, text messages set to silent they will no longer show on lock screen if you want that.

Yes, at the bottom of the list of notications, there is an option to have the dot separately.
