S7 Flat Notifications - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hi, i've recently aquired the Galaxy S7 and right now i'm really happy with it. The question is about how the notifications appears on the lockscreen or the notification panel. Somehow the quick buttons of a notification are visible more to the right and not well centered i think. That's the little problem, more esthetic than other thing but i want to know if it happens to all or is it just me.
PS: I attach screenshots with the version of Android, screen adjustments and the notification itself.
Thanks in advance.

Well, it actually depends on the app since not all of the notifications have those controls. So it's not a problem, because everyone has those controls to the right. But if you want to change those controls you must install a custom rom, otherwise there is not much you can do about it.

Are you talking about the clickable notification banners that appear in both the notification drop-down and on the lock screen? From your screenshots they don't appear to be more toward the right than the left to me. The text appears to the right of the avatar/app icon block, but that's normal in order to make room for the images. Or maybe I'm missing your point?
EDIT:
If you're talking about the RESPONDER and RETWITTER button links, they look very centered under the text body of the banner notification message. Again, the text body is positioned to the right to account for the image area on the left.

Sorry if my point doesn't understend very well. Yes, what a mean is about the RESPONDER and RETWITTER buttons and so the heart button, it has to say ME GUSTA or something like that. With my other smartphone (XPERIA Z1) this not happened. So this is why im consulting this, if it's something normal of GALAXY S7 or app related.

I think your screenshot shows them in the normal position. They are right-aligned within the banner rectangle and fairly well centered under the text block above them. You have to realize those links that you call buttons are themselves additional text, so will appear appended within the text block area which is right-aligned to allow for the image area on the left.

HTC Title bar issues

I have done some looking on this issue and it seems that there may be no solution, but I thought I would post in this forum nonetheless to see if anyone had any ideas. One of the little things that bugs me about my touch pro is how the title bar behaves when there are multiple notifications that are awaiting disposition. For example, when there is one reminder, say a task is due, I hit the title bar and the HTC large title bar comes up allowing me to hit the enlarged bell icon and bring up the reminder. This works great for me. However, where there are more than one notifications pending, say a reminder and an new email envelope or a missed call, if you hit the enlarged bubble, a new bar is brought up immediately below the title bar that shows all of the pending notifications -- the trouble is that these notifications on the second level are so damned small that I often need to get out the stylus just to access them. It would be great if this second level of notification bar were also enlarged to make it finger friendly. Any thoughts on whether this can be done?
The second thing that annoys me is the email envelope in the title bar. I am happily using TF3D which gives me a clear indication of how many new emails are in my inbox. However, most of the time, I need to actually open my mailbox to get rid of the little envelope in the title bar. This is redundant and a waste of time (and also exacerbates the issue above with multiple notifications). I don't think there is a solution to this problem, but again thought I would ask.
Thanks in advance.

[REQ] "Edit" Button in Notification Window

Would it be possible to place an Edit button into the Notification Window, For example, next to the Clear Button which clears all your notifications? What it would do is let you edit the Notification bar how you want (Change Notification colors and things like that). I know you can already do that in the Spare Parts App In Superbad CyanogenMod but I was just curious if that was a more convenient alternative.

If you ask me, thats already extremely convenient. You're lucky you have the option to do it from the phone.
I prefer it the way it is=p it would be annoying having to see that every time I get a text...
On the other hand, adding some sort of editable region on top of the notification bar could be a neat idea. Like for example, I would put a toggle for brightness so that I could have easy acess to it without needing to go to home and use a widget. The behold 2 and galaxy s have this little power control thingy in the notification bar to toggle brightness, wifi, gps, etc and it would be cool to port that over.

that would be sweet!
The only picture I could find of the behold 2 was in the pdf manual It's small and on page 10 if anyone cares. http://support.t-mobile.com/doc/tm30312.pdf
I think a shortcut to spare parts from settings would do the trick.
How about putting the power control widget on the notification bar next to the operator name? That would be cool and convient.
What I wouldn't mind seeing is a button on each notification for selective clearing of notifications...
Specifically on the G1 when I'm installing many apps from the market then I have unread emails and sms, I want to clear up all the installed notifications without wiping all the notifications. :\

I'm in complete agreement. If there was some way to have selective clearance of the notification area without actually launching said notification, that would be fantastic.

I am in agreement with both of these! I'm starting to learn Android from the ground up and if nobody beats me to it, I'm gonna work on this.
Well Im glad that me posting this has made some positive ripples in the community.

[Q] - How to clear notifications?

Hello fellow TF300T users. I'm a proud new owner of this kickass tablet and so far I love it. I have one question I'm hoping can be answered:
Is it possible to clear notifications from the status bar at the bottom of the screen? At the moment I've got half a dozen notifications of installed apps, one captured sceenshot, and a Google+ comment notification. They need to go away, and I need to figure out how to do this as needed. I checked the Settings and haven't found anything that leads me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

when you click on the bottom notification tab and it expands so you can see the notifications, press the "X" at the the bottom right and tadaa they are cleared.
First, press the notification-bar, all your notifications will appear (including clock, settings etc)
Now, in the lower right corner of your screen, you will see a blue X. Press it. The X clears all your notifications

Swipe from the bottom notification window

Has there ever been a tweak or mod where you can have your notification window come from the bottom instead of top? Seems it would be a great feature with the additional screen size.

Nova launcher can do that with gestures. Or there's a setting in the phone to swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to pull the notification panel down or back up.
What I was meaning is kinda like the control center on the iphone when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Just totally move the notification screen to the bottom of the screen once you swipe up.
The furthest you're going to reach your finger is to swipe down from the top for the notification window so why not put it at the bottom being that it's something being used a lot through out the day.
I will say samsung has done a lot for reachability just that one little thing I think would make a huge deal.

Sorry, looks like that feature hasn't been around since ICS.
I'm curious if it's even possible with a custom rom. I always questioned this too. When I had the iPhone 4, I hated switching to iOS 6, but the swipe up from the bottom to access your quick settings was a stroke of genius and got me to actually enjoy it even more after jailbreaking it because you could tweak the odd cosmetics.
iPhone was able to do it through a software update. Why can't Android? What's the limitation and what makes it so limited that no one has been able to accomplish this? Genuine question and interest.
Galaxy S8+ is a phenomenal phone that I think will take quite a bit to outdo it, but the biggest problem with having massive screens is reaching those quick settings. Even with the edge bar, it's still not the same. And the swipe gesture with the fingerprint scanner is neat but that doesn't get you the quick settings a person needs with one hand as well as accessing the notifications.
It would very nice to have that reversed. I have big hands and it's still a pain to always have to use the phone with two hands for those quick things people like to do. Like adjusting brightness, muting, flashlight, Bluetooth etc.
Maybe one day they'll realize people still hold their phones with one hand every now and again and try to tailor that there notification panel accordingly :silly:

It is possible!
It can be done even with an app.
but it can be confusing because of Navigation Buttons at the bottom.
and in this way using this on custom rom can be better >> set nav bars little bit higher and then notification bar below that.......
I think after this idea you will see lots of mods and apps
If I decide to do it I will inform you
I always wanted that swipe down for quick access to controls in ios on Android. Why haven't they implemented that yet? Took them many years to have a "night mode" on Android.

Have never really understood the ergonomics of it. Bottom Status Bar should at least be an Xposed Module!

Question Pixel 7 Pro Notifications?

Can someone walk me through this? Totally new to Pixel phones. Been using LG for the last 10 years.
I have Nova Launcher installed and it seems to be working properly with no issues.
I'm getting written notifications on my lock screen whenever a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to posts a new video. I don't want that. (This is happening on most of my apps)
In the past with the LG, i'd just get a tiny colored bubble with a number on the app's icon on my home screen. That's what I'm trying to accomplish with the P7P. Is there a way to get the phone to do this?

Just long press on the notification and toggle off notifications.

Thank you!
I've tried that on the lock screen, and it takes me to a page asking me if I want to unsubscribe from notifications from that YouTube channel. Is this correct? I do still want to get a bubble on the app's icon on my home screen letting me know I have unseen content.

Hmm, I don't think so. Have you tried it once you've unlocked the lock screen? Please see screenshot.
Didn't make a difference.
If "notifications “ are turned off, will I still get the little dot on the app icon?
Ok, I may have an idea.
In the notifications settings area....
Pic below, set hide silent notifications from the lock screen. Then long press the notification in the status bar and set them to silent.
They will still show in your status bar and app icon.
Downside to my plan is if you have, for example, text messages set to silent they will no longer show on lock screen if you want that.

Yes, at the bottom of the list of notications, there is an option to have the dot separately.
