[Q] Removing "Call History" from TouchFLO Home - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi,
Is it possible to disable the "Call History" line on The TouchFLO Home?
I ask because it is bad UI. Even if you have _no_ missed calls, there is still a glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark, which indicates to me that there is a missed call. Very annoying.

Same prob
hey,
having the same prob. Cleared the complet call history, but in the home screen is still the glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark.
anyone have any ideas ?
Thanks !

U can get rid of the 'glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark'
just copy 1bbfdc9b_manila from your phone and edit it in Manila Editor...
The 'glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark' image is there among other icons and pictures....
but if u change the look of the clock it will bring back the 'glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark' image
sorry, the phrase 'glaring icon of a phone and an exclamation mark' just got stuck in my head

Is there a way to actually fix it so that it will show the missed call icon when u have a missed call and a normal icon when you dont?
thanks

Scary
Even if it would just stop glaring, that would be ok.
Anthropomorphism or wot?

The whole Call History bar is horrible imo. It's taking up valuable real estate better served by my calendar.
It would be better served being a tab with an indicator up on the very top bar when a call was actually missed and/or a little number on the tab when that happens.
Venting is gooooood.

How do i do this?

Anyone worked out how to do this yet? I hardly get any calls on mine which I use for work, mainly use it as a modem and email to our exchange server. I also therefore want to get rid of it.
Looked around, but I can't find a way

Same issue!
So there's no fix yet? It's really bugging me, looks like there's a missed call when there's nothing.

start menu bar replacement wm6.5?

I was wondering what the simplest/best start menu bar replacement for wm6.5 is... i can't seem to search for the right thing.
I want to replace the entire start menu bar... w/ teh start button, the time, the sound, and notifactions (like wisbar or gigabar used to do back in teh day)
the reason why i want to replace it is because I don't like how my notifications are displayed. Currently, if I have one notification, it shows teh correct icon (missed call or email). But if I have 2 notifications, it shows the generic "notification" icon.
I'd prefer to see separate icons... i.e. a missed call icon, followed by an email icon to indicate these are my 2 notifications.
Moreover, on my phone (ipaq glisten), if I receive an email, the notification will show up on the start menu, but if hte email gets cleared on the server, the ipaq will also clear it (and it won't show up on my today screen), however, the icon remains until i go to the mail app (even though there are no longer any new mails). This is annoying.
Any suggestions? I don't need anything fancy... it's really just the nofications that are bothering me.
Moved as not software release.
i guess my question can be simplifed to:
if i have more than one notification, how can i get them to display separate icons for each type of notifcation (instead of a generic "balloon"/notification icon)?
If anyone has used Windows Mobile Standard (non touch screen), you know what i mean. If i get an email and a missed call, i see 2 different icons on the startmenu/status bar.
my second question is:
if i receive an email, my phone will show the email icon on the start menu bar. this is great. however, if i don't touch my phone (so the icon is still there indicating unread email), and i check the mail on my computer, so it's marked as read, it will also be marked as red on my phon. this is also great. HOWEVER, it will still show the mail status icon in the start menu bar, even though there are no new messages anymore. To clear it, i have to go to the mail app...
bumpity bump... seems like this subforum is dead!
the email thing is still a really annoying issue... after clearing emails on my desktop, and i take a look at my phone, i think i still have new emails.. but i don't... it's just the icon isn't going away until i go to my inbox.
lol already on the third page... i hope i get banned for bumping again.
really, no one knows of a) a fix for my described problem or b) a program which shows all the notifications?

Application that shows voicemail notification on home screen?

I searched first...
Does anyone know of an application that would show if I had any unheard voicemails on the home screen? Something that would flash up, the icons in the top task bar are very easy to miss and nothing shows that I have a voicemail on the home screen.
I miss some of the easier things that you could do on WM6.
Thanks in advance.
Widgets > Voicemail widget. I Personally don't use it. But it has an icon on it to let you know when you have x-amount of messages in a bubble.

Tried it, use it currently, does NOT show when you have unread voicemails in a bubble. Only shows it in the taskbar on top, and it uses some silly icon that means nothing to me.
Of course, this could be because I rooted.
Mine shows a little red bubble on the icon like the message icon for example. with he number of unreads in it. =/ maybe you should try reinstalling visual voice mail

Call forwarding icon stuck in notification bar (Solved)

Earlier today a small blue Forwarding call icon got stuck in the notification bar on my NS. I haven't set up any call forwarding so not sure how the icon got there. The calls coming in are not forwarded. The icon is also there when pulling down the notification bar, and it says "Forwarding all calls" but clearly it isn't.
I use the SuperOSR rom and tried restoring a backup but the icon is still there.
Can anybody help to provide some info as to what could cause this? I've tried googling but haven't been able to find an answer. Thanks.
Edit: figured out that by actually setting up call forwarding and then disabling it made the icon disappear from the notification bar. Still have no clue as to why it appeared when no call forwarding was set up. Must be a minor bug.

Thanks a lot for this! It had been driving me crazy for days. I went to 3 and they had no solution. I was prepared to change my number because changing the SIM card had no effect.

Thank you so much. I've had this problem for ages. Even after a full /system wipe it would come back eventually.
Now I know how to fix it.
Much love!

Take another phone and call yourself and leave a message. Then take your phone, reboot, listen to the message and erase it.

Missed It! Trying to get symbols in there..

I just installed the "Missed It!" app and love ti so far but would love to have just a symbol for phone, messages & email with a number before or after it instead of text... I can't figure out how to set this up... I've seen this on many home screens but never understood how it's done..
Another thing: at the moment I have a white background and the missed it widget is black text, when I get an email or any other notification the text becomes white and blends in the white background... No clue why this is happening...
I would really appreciate some pointers in the right direction.
Thanks,
Ben

[Q] Incoming Caller ID Picture is Cut in Half?

Hi,
Whenever I have a incoming call and that person has a picture associated in my contacts, their picture get cut in half. I can see the top of the picture with the number and name. The bottom portion where you slide left to decline, right to accept, and up to text, there's no image behind it. It is just black. But when I answer or decline the call, the entirety of the picture is loaded. This problem doesn't show up when I'm making an outgoing call, just incoming. Anyone have experience the same issue or with any knowledge on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thats how Google designed it ever since Jellybean. No idea who thought that it looked good.
Its a relatively simple fix. Someone just needs to decompile Phone.apk or whatever the current dialer is called and change the black box color to transparent.
