Just some FYI...since lots of us, have had GP issues....
"The Google Play Store has ran into one or two teething problem since it replaced the long-standing Android Market. Google has already pushed out a couple of updates in a short space of the time with the most recent seemingly causing more issues than it fixed. Frustrated users have been reporting a series of force closes, glitches whilst browsing and disappearing paid apps."

Yerp but others seem to have issues with buying and getting updates...just an FYI for the masses...

Hey guys, has anybody tried had sync? I always used it on my nexus devices, however, the last update for it is on October 6th, way before KitKat release date. I've read through some of the reviews and some have mentioned of it preventing phone from going to deep sleep and causing wake locks. That was on a galaxy phones though, no mention of issues on nexus 5. I have just got the nexus, don't really want to install something that's not fully compatible yet.

Working fine for me.. Just got my phone a couple hours ago, so can't really say much on the wake lock part. But, the contacts sync up and its fine so far..

Why not try it for your self? If it causes problems just uninstall it. Plan and simple. Not like it can brick your phone because an app isn't 100% compatible.
Working fine for me too.

I have sync.me on one of my old androids letting it update my contacts...good idea if you have a old phone laying around...not sure but you could use haxsync like that too.

I did when I got my nexus. My battery died faster than expected. I looked through logs, and noticed that yahoo weather was draining a lot of battery on the background, ended up uninstalling that and haxsync because I figured that it could have been both as android usage was also high. Today, everything was fine. I will try to reinstall it.
I do seem to get some contact pics synced, I'm guessing by default Facebook app still doesn't sync contacts on stock, right? Pictures might be coming from Google +?

Been using haxsync for a week now on my N5 & no battery drain/wakelocks according to bbs from haxsync so its ok to use.

I have not as the Dev put in the description that it's only needed for 4.1. Calendar and contacts are syncing just fine without it.

Uhm I installed it, but the pictures seems to be all in low resolution.. It's because this Nexus is bigger then the previous?

On 4.4.2 haxsync doesnt work anymore at least for me
are there any alternatives?
I don't find HaxSync on Play Store, on both Play Store app (on Nexus 5) and Play Store web
There's a playstore fix in xposed installer. This may fix your problem

MersauX,
Can you please tell me where you found it? What link? When I search for the Haxsync APK, I find a lot of sites, but I am always a bit leery at downloading them from these types of places since I worry about the files authenticity. Thanks in advance.

Thanks but it's not currently available on the play store. That's the reason I asked in the first place.
I've never had any wakelocks using haxsync, and it has never shown up in my battery stats ever.

Odd, that link works for me. Must be because I've had it installed for years...
Question: I'm rooted in Kit Kat, first OTA forced update. Facebook messenger isn't showing notifications. I saw one other person in the store complaining about it being a Kit Kat issue, but it occurred recently. Anyone else having similar issues? Done the whole nine yards- uninstalled after clearing cache and data, etc. Even did a full sweep and fixed permissions. Thoughts?

Edit- Had to do with a Xposed module

I have been using purity rom with elemental kernel for a long time now and never had any GPS issues until now. Started about a week ago, I would use my Google maps but would lose my GPS signal and the turn by turn never picks up signal again. It just becomes useless. I don't get what would make it do that. I've tried to clear data in the maps app and also I've downloaded android tweaker to update my GPS settings but nothing has helped. Any idea?
Are others having the same issue? If so, it's a ROM problem. You're best off asking in this thread:

Noticed that for about 3 weeks, Google play services uses more battery then ever. Can't really understand why but I assume that it is somehow connected to the updated play market. The market updated also an about 3 weeks ago.
I'm using xtrasmooth rom with racer kernel.
Before the update, everything was fine with location services enabled.

Have you tried another ROM?
Not yet. I don't think that it's rom related because everything was fine until play market was updated.
