Hey guys,
I have recently purchased a phone from china, the seller said it was an OEM phone with 2GB RAM and a FHD screen and at the same time i came across some seller indicating that the real hardware is 1GB RAM and 720p Screen although the phone can display 2GB RAM and 1080p.
So i would like to know are there any ways which i can use to check if the hardware of the android devide is real or fake?
thanks!

How are you getting the hardware specs?
If it is through an app pre-installed on the device try using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thukhakyaw.aboutphone

Thanks for the reply. I actually used Antutu Benchmark and CPU-Z but i was wondering whether the OEM manufacturer can put a 'program' in the phone which will make the apps i used give false hardware information.

They probably can since other manufacturers spoof hardware performance but I have never heard of a Chinese company spoofing specs
Such a shame! One of my friends recently ordered a Zopo ZP980+ (2GB RAM and 16GB ROM version) from aliexpress, but he has doubts about the phone having those specs. There is a version of this phone with 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
I'll give the app you suggested a try!
Faked RAM value used in china mobiles selled by some indian companies
I have purchased a phone named ' Wickedleak Wammy note 3 ', the company tells that it has 2GB ram , When checking the phone also shows it have 2gb RAM that means 2048 mb exactly, After using the phone for few days I found that the phone will never using RAM above 1 GB, then i feel doubt about the actual RAM it does have , I tried several tools for checking specs of phone like CPUz ,Antutu etc ,all of it shows 2048 mb RAM.
Finaly I tested with ' CPU / RAM / DEVICE Identifier ' tool which reveals the real truth about the Phone , Download the tool from here play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Bfield.CpuIdentifier

I need your opinion on tablet hardware. it seems like a good deal so i just want to run by you pro's for a quickie
It's name is Vivax TPC-7150, and it's a dual core 1,5ghz, 1gb DDR3, 7" tablet.
it has a rockchip RK3066 A9 cpu and Mali-400MP gpu, 8gb storage, wi-fi, 1024x600 at 169ppi (at 5:3 ratio) (dont know exactly is it ips or regular tft matrix. one site says ips, another site says tft)
2 MP front camera, microusb, microSD and 3500mAh battery.
on local pc magazine test ("VIDI"), it scored like this:
Quadrant standard
Total 4036
CPU 7278
MEM 4237
I/O 6011
2D/3D 317/2337
Vellamo HTML5/Metal 1655/523
PassMark
System/CPU 1811/5626
Disk/Memory 1152/1427
2D/3D graphics 2989/767
It sells from 110€ and it's a product of a chinese factory and engineered by a croatian company
any opinion will be useful, but ofcourse i'll have to check it myself somewhere in the store first...
edit: sry, here's a link
There probably won‘t be any gurantee or warranty with it. If you can live with that then... it might be a risk worth taking.
I have seen chinese tablets before which have specs that are different than the one promised on the box.
It's decent. You might be able to do better for the same money, but I can't say with what off the top of my head. The 5:3 is kind of weird. You might be able to get away with the 8Gb since it has an external SD slot - but consider you'll have to spend another $20 on that - and you can't put all apps and such on it.
If it is legitimate and that will be actually what you are getting, of course.
why do you think i cant put apps on microsd card?
and sorry for my misexplaining. It's a local croatian company (Vivax) that has "developed" the tablet and has it produced in china (like many other companies do), so i think there shouldnt be any problems with warranty....
what about rooting and flashing different ROM? how can i tell which ROM i can use and what tool to root it with?
I only have my x8 so i'm not so familiar with other devices...
can you please help me only with an answer for rooting and flashing rom?

No. It needs to be made for you exact device or you will brick it and turn it into an expensive paperweight that will not turn on again.
Not all apps can be moved to the SD card. There might be ways around it, but it can be hit or miss and I wouldn't count on it.
I bought this tablet and it has turned out to be very very slow. Im not sure if its just the tablet of the rom. so I was thinking of looking for a custom rom, but I can't seem to find any. Here are the specs. Is this just a slow processor and a waste of my cash?
Where can I look or find the way to Root this tablet. I downloaded the app to check it and it says its not rooted. I like the rom, very bare, no bloatware.
Tagital MID Tablet

Hi
Not sure if its rootable due to hardware constraints of hardware
Asked vender about hardware mentioned 400x800.
The slowness and key responses isn't a good sign.
When I try and store this text it boots the screen my guess
Very limited processor. ordered a refurbed tab3 better resolution
And processor.
I don't think a ROM can run on this tablet!
Sorry to say beings I bought a TX-9 .
This is the worst item I have ever used. Its like a very early Texas calculator
But slower response.
Another third world clone gone bad!!! Doug
I'm trying to determine if I've purchased a genuine i535 or some kind of knockoff. Does this data look right? ARM v7? processor 1? shouldn't it be ARM 9 and 2 processors (dual core)? Also the RAM shows as 1.5GB, is that what's available after the 4.4.2 system?
This is a screen shot from Android System Info -

Thanks,

I have a genuine Verizon S3 and I have the exact same specifications shown by this app, other than a couple small differences in memory (1.54GB vs 1.56GB), so I'm guessing yours is probably genuine.
ok so i dont really have much money and in here even chinese tablets are expensive and i really need a good tablet
anyway i went to some store and i found some good picks one is a dual core with 4gb of storage and 7inch screen but the store doesnt know how much ram it has ! anyway he let me try it and i played with it a little and it really seemed fast it should be more than 512 or 512mb ddr 3 is as fast as 1gb ddr2??
some people say tablets with ddr3 ram are better even if they are just 512
anyway another tablet is with 3g connection also a dual core but faster than the first one and has a newer android version though it doesnt differ with the price much
both tablets have are from enet anyone know if enet tablets are any good??
one guy told me that they write that they are dual core but that fact they are less than that
and another thing is that is there something i can do to know the real specs while im viewing them in the market ?? any fast code i can dail or something a internet page i can enter anything i just want to know exactly how good is the tablet i dont want to waste my money like this
and one more thing will chinese tablets stay alive too long with good care?? or they will all break down easily after time??

Hello, I'm selling tablet too~
can you please take a picture for the tablet?
But I dont think 512mb ddr3 fast as 1gb ddr 2, and I suggest you to buy a 3g tablet if the price not differ too much.
Most important, what you wan to use in this tablet? gaming? or just soical?
If can choose the one that can move app to external sd card, not internal sd card.
Can you please let me know the price of the tablet and where do you come from? thanks
Sry for my bad english
Hi,
I made the mistake of buying a fake tablet on AliExpress.
The price looked right (about the same as Teclast and others) but a bit lower with features that I wanted so I bought it.
It turned out to be a fake and due to bad timing I was away and couldn't send it back.
So now I have it and I'd like to put the original ROM on it to make it more usable.
Attached are screenshots of the tablet hardware that I got through an app (the overlays are because I used these pictures as proof and sent them to AliExpress).
It's a 10' tablet.
1280x800 screen resolution
Android 7 Nougat
MT6735 & Mali-T720
Probably 1.5GB or 2GB RAM.
Maybe 2 or 4GB drive.
The name of the tablet shows up as MA11.
It looks like the Kmonabie tablet from amazon https://www.amazon.com/Kmonabie-Android-Tablet-Camera-Phone/dp/B0BBFZ7FQM
I'd like to find the original ROM to have real values for the RAM and drive size and not have the tablet crash randomly (probably because it runs out of RAM or something).
Cheers.
