I'm trying to determine if I've purchased a genuine i535 or some kind of knockoff. Does this data look right? ARM v7? processor 1? shouldn't it be ARM 9 and 2 processors (dual core)? Also the RAM shows as 1.5GB, is that what's available after the 4.4.2 system?
This is a screen shot from Android System Info -

Thanks,

I have a genuine Verizon S3 and I have the exact same specifications shown by this app, other than a couple small differences in memory (1.54GB vs 1.56GB), so I'm guessing yours is probably genuine.

Hello everyone
I want to buy a budget tablet and of so much research i have found two tablets in my budget
1. Ainol novo 7 tornados
2. Ainol novo 7 advanced 2
The screen size, processor and most of the hardware are same and both run ics. The only difference is that Advanced 2 has a allwinner a10 processor and tornados has amlogic. The allwinner is based on cortex a8 while the amlogic is based on cortex a9. The following site compares them but i am confused that if a8 is better than what is the use of a9. Isnt the cortex a9 successor of cortex a8
Actually i cant post link because of restriction so do a google search for allwinner vs amlogic and click the link of "slate 4 sure blog"
Please recommend me that which one should i buy and is the comparison true.(i.e A8>A9)

Hey...check this website out. i don't know why XDA developers haven't dug into everything Ainol since they're cheap and powerhouses. i would suggest you ask there but in my experience the a9 is a successor and it's much faster. here's the lnk http://www.slatedroid.com/forum/341-ainol-amlogic-cpu-devices/ and there you have all the devices. unfortunately the Advanced 2 is in the upper thread since it's a bit older! I got my Tornados for only 71 USD off of ebay and it regularly ranges to 100 USD...so if you gotta spend the extra couple of bucks for newer software ..then why not...if i helped press the Gracias ( thank you) button
if I could relight this one briefly so I don't create a new thread: can one of you more knowledgeable guys explain to me: for a single core Cortex-A9 implementation like an AW or the AGPtek / WM8850 unit, does it matter much how generous internal memory is? 512mb sounds like enough for such simple design but I do not yet understand how the memory controller manages memory especially to feed the graphics processing unit. for the little cost, i'm prone to want to go "more is better" route: 1GB of internal...

Are both tablets with the same AP? If not then more may not necessarily be better. Let me explain - if one of them has a dual channel memory controller, pick that even if it has lower memory. The reason is that in case of dual channel memory controller the arbitration overhead is lower so memory fetch latency is lower for all components.
If they both have a single channel memory controller, pick the one with the 1GB RAM. Hopefully answers your questions.
As far as how the memory feeds the GPU - usually it is the other way round. It is the GPU that fetches the data from memory. The implementation is very different from GPU to GPU and therefore from AP to AP.
Allwinner has bigger community and 1GB is better!
Hi! As you may have heard, Jiayu is joining the Chinese bandwagon and they will soon release their own iPhone 5-style mobile named Jiayu G5. It is rumored to have 4.5-inch HD (1280 x 720p) IPS screen (probably OGS and Gorilla Glass 2), quad core MT6589 1.2GHz CPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM, 13MP rear and 3MP front cameras, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It would probably be dual SIM too! Take a look at the full specifications here: http://www.chinaphonereview.com/jiayu-g5
If these specs are indeed true, then Jiayu G5 would be the best iPhone 5-based Chinese phone today in my opinion, though it is slightly bigger. There is no exact date of release yet but many are anticipating its launch. What do you think of Jiayu G5?
I have this phone. Great phone with metal body (actualy stainless steel). Just correcting your write about OS version, this phone using Jelly Bean 4.2.1, and clock speed of CPU is 1.5GHz.

The newer version of the phone is named Jiayu G5S and it has upgraded specs like Octa-core MT6592 1.7GHz CPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. More specs here: http://www.chinaphonereview.com/jiayu-g5s
Anyone know if this phone is still being sold somewhere for a decent price? This is exactly what I'm looking for for my gf...
It seems like the G5 and G5S are both totally out of stock, or the prices are sky-high..

I think i undestand why i can't unbrick this phone, The G5 do have an MT6589 and Smart Phone flash tool is asking my to load an MT6592 emmc scatter.
the problem is that i can't not use emmc for the MT6589.
i do have this error :
Chip type not match!
target chip is MT6592
load scatter chip type is MT6589.
Any idea to fix or change The target chip ?
I bought this tablet and it has turned out to be very very slow. Im not sure if its just the tablet of the rom. so I was thinking of looking for a custom rom, but I can't seem to find any. Here are the specs. Is this just a slow processor and a waste of my cash?
Where can I look or find the way to Root this tablet. I downloaded the app to check it and it says its not rooted. I like the rom, very bare, no bloatware.
Tagital MID Tablet
CPU: Boxchip A13 Cortex A8 1.0GHz ,GPU: Mali 400

Hi
Not sure if its rootable due to hardware constraints of hardware
Asked vender about hardware mentioned 400x800.
The slowness and key responses isn't a good sign.
When I try and store this text it boots the screen my guess
Very limited processor. ordered a refurbed tab3 better resolution
And processor.
I don't think a ROM can run on this tablet!
Sorry to say beings I bought a TX-9 .
This is the worst item I have ever used. Its like a very early Texas calculator
But slower response.
Another third world clone gone bad!!! Doug
Hey guys,
I have recently purchased a phone from china, the seller said it was an OEM phone with 2GB RAM and a FHD screen and at the same time i came across some seller indicating that the real hardware is 1GB RAM and 720p Screen although the phone can display 2GB RAM and 1080p.
So i would like to know are there any ways which i can use to check if the hardware of the android devide is real or fake?
thanks!

How are you getting the hardware specs?
If it is through an app pre-installed on the device try using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thukhakyaw.aboutphone

Thanks for the reply. I actually used Antutu Benchmark and CPU-Z but i was wondering whether the OEM manufacturer can put a 'program' in the phone which will make the apps i used give false hardware information.

They probably can since other manufacturers spoof hardware performance but I have never heard of a Chinese company spoofing specs
Such a shame! One of my friends recently ordered a Zopo ZP980+ (2GB RAM and 16GB ROM version) from aliexpress, but he has doubts about the phone having those specs. There is a version of this phone with 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM.
I'll give the app you suggested a try!
Faked RAM value used in china mobiles selled by some indian companies
I have purchased a phone named ' Wickedleak Wammy note 3 ', the company tells that it has 2GB ram , When checking the phone also shows it have 2gb RAM that means 2048 mb exactly, After using the phone for few days I found that the phone will never using RAM above 1 GB, then i feel doubt about the actual RAM it does have , I tried several tools for checking specs of phone like CPUz ,Antutu etc ,all of it shows 2048 mb RAM.
Finaly I tested with ' CPU / RAM / DEVICE Identifier ' tool which reveals the real truth about the Phone , Download the tool from here play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Bfield.CpuIdentifier

Firstly, appolgize if wrong thread & I know there's probably many posts asking the same thing...
I'm planning to get a new Mobile - after having a Galaxy S4 (stuck on Android 4 since KNOX trip) since they first came out.
I'm a VERY light user, only using it for occasional text/calls, the occasional game & a little bit of Web Browsing (if I find any free Wifi hotspots)
.. Been looking at 'mid-range' SIM-free phones at about £200-£300 (could go as high as £350-ish IF the phone offers better 'futureproofing) with the following basic specs
5" (or larger) screen
32Mb (or more) / 3Gb (or more) RAM
3000mA battery (or more)
SD Card slot
Android 6/7 (6 as long as there's planned update to 7)
As little bloatware as possible - not too fussed if not quite 'vanilla' android but close to it would be nice
Now at first I narrowed it down to possibly a Moto G4 Plus but I find that the UK version does NOT have a compass, which I believe (wrongly perhaps) is usually essential if you plan to use any sat-nav software (which I occcasionally have to use).
Then I considered waiting for the Nokia 6.. possibly even the Arte Black version (when it FINALLY arrives in the UK) - since it's virtually 'Vanilla' Android & would probably won't have too much Bloatware - but I then read reviews that it can be a 'little laggy' opening apps
Then the Huawei Honor 8 was thought about but then read that some reviewers don't like the Emotion UI very much (not knowing the actual reason why they don't like it I won't know if I'd like it)
& finally the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) or Galaxy J7 Pro (if I can find a shop that sells it) is added to my short list but considering how much bloatware was installed on my aging S4 I'm concerned the A5/J7 will also have umpteen apps I will never use installed
Now I know the Moto G4 / Nokia 6 have larger screens than the Honor 8/A5 & the specs are not quite the same between phones (I've been using another website to compare specs.. not sure if allowed to post link/name but hopefully it'll be allowed - GSMARENA) but since I've been out of the Android game for a while - I'm confused over many of the specs
Examples:
Chipset: Which is considered 'better' - a Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617, Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430, HiSilicon Kirin 950 or Exynos 7880 Octa
CPU: Octa-core (4x1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.2 GHz Cortex-A53), Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53, Octa-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A53, or Octa-core (4x2.3 GHz Cortex-A72 & 4x1.8 GHz Cortex A53)
GPU: Adreno 405 , Adreno 505, Mali-T880 MP4, Mali-T830MP3
Screen: is 'IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen' better or worse than 'Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen'
what is a 'Li-Po 3000 mAh battery' - is it any better/worse than a 'Li-ion'
So , can anyone explain which is considered 'better' than the other specs..
Which phone would you consider from my short list... any suggestions of other phones I may've overlooked that have similar basic specs ??
Edit: So many views - no answers
Anyway, Still looking at phones
- what do you think about the Huawei P10 Lite??
Thanxs in advance
