Hello, I'm selling tablet too~
can you please take a picture for the tablet?
But I dont think 512mb ddr3 fast as 1gb ddr 2, and I suggest you to buy a 3g tablet if the price not differ too much.
Most important, what you wan to use in this tablet? gaming? or just soical?
If can choose the one that can move app to external sd card, not internal sd card.
Can you please let me know the price of the tablet and where do you come from? thanks
Sry for my bad english

[Q] The £100 tablet question

ok, i know this question comes up all the time but please dont just ignore it as i have searched and cant find what i want
right, i am looking for a tablet that has at least the following specs for £100
Screen: capacitive, at least 7'', decent resolution
CPU: 800Mhz ARM7
RAM: 512mb
Firmware: 2.2 or higher (preferably with custom roms available)
Appart from that, i am not worried about other things such as GPS and cameras as i would not use them
I am willing to consider chinapads (if someone has had a good experience with the specified tablet) and used tablets
Thanks

The best one i found... http://cgi.ebay.com/New-10-2-Android-2-2-Tablet-10-Webcam-4GB-HDMI-512MB-/200635752102?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item2eb6d29ea6#ht_6095wt_1037
But doesn´t know what type of CPU it got.. (its 1GHz.. but Arm v7?-..
or search for some viewsonic G tablet.. look here... http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l2736&_nkw=Viewsonic+G+tablet
ok, thanks for the suggestion but im pretty sure that the one on ebay is this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zenithink-ZT-180-Android-512MB/dp/B004P4L0IS
which has a resistive screen which i really dont want.
By the way i will consider something without an ARM7 as long as it is 800+ Mhz

Now is the best time to upgrade?

Has anyone noticed the jump from 512MB of ram to 1GB? I think now is the perfect time to upgrade. The RAM combined with the processor Specs are evolving quickly. But i think the amount of ram we see in android phones will bank at 1GB for a while. Until android apps find a way to fill up that memory. Even android tablets don't fully use 1GB of the RAM they have. This means customers will be satisfied for quite a while with 1GB of ram. and in return, longer upgrade lifetime. I honestly don't see android phones with 2GB of RAM coming soon so right now would be the perfect time.
And yes, processors may evolve but i think they aren't going to be much faster or have more cores until new battery technology is found that can pack 2-3 amps per battery.
In conclusion, Phones should stay at 1GB RAM and 1.5GHz Dual-Core for a while
What do you think?
I think the phone's are very good now and way better then the 1GZ and RAM phones, but I don't think they will stop at 2cores/1.5gz. I got my SGS2, becuase it was the first smart phone that I liked and it takes alot to make me pay 600 for a phone.
I would say that Smart phone will likely start to slow down a bit like PC have soon.

That's what i forgot to mention
Buying a phone with 2GB of ram is like buying a netbook.
Soon laptops/netbooks will meet the android phone
as soon as the Quad cores hits the streets you'll most likely see 2GB RAM and newer version of ICS 4.x that will use up all that memory
our phones are turning more and more into a portable PC

Opinion on local tablet

I need your opinion on tablet hardware. it seems like a good deal so i just want to run by you pro's for a quickie
It's name is Vivax TPC-7150, and it's a dual core 1,5ghz, 1gb DDR3, 7" tablet.
it has a rockchip RK3066 A9 cpu and Mali-400MP gpu, 8gb storage, wi-fi, 1024x600 at 169ppi (at 5:3 ratio) (dont know exactly is it ips or regular tft matrix. one site says ips, another site says tft)
2 MP front camera, microusb, microSD and 3500mAh battery.
on local pc magazine test ("VIDI"), it scored like this:
Quadrant standard
Total 4036
CPU 7278
MEM 4237
I/O 6011
2D/3D 317/2337
Vellamo HTML5/Metal 1655/523
PassMark
System/CPU 1811/5626
Disk/Memory 1152/1427
2D/3D graphics 2989/767
It sells from 110€ and it's a product of a chinese factory and engineered by a croatian company
any opinion will be useful, but ofcourse i'll have to check it myself somewhere in the store first...
edit: sry, here's a link
There probably won‘t be any gurantee or warranty with it. If you can live with that then... it might be a risk worth taking.
I have seen chinese tablets before which have specs that are different than the one promised on the box.
It's decent. You might be able to do better for the same money, but I can't say with what off the top of my head. The 5:3 is kind of weird. You might be able to get away with the 8Gb since it has an external SD slot - but consider you'll have to spend another $20 on that - and you can't put all apps and such on it.
If it is legitimate and that will be actually what you are getting, of course.
why do you think i cant put apps on microsd card?
and sorry for my misexplaining. It's a local croatian company (Vivax) that has "developed" the tablet and has it produced in china (like many other companies do), so i think there shouldnt be any problems with warranty....
what about rooting and flashing different ROM? how can i tell which ROM i can use and what tool to root it with?
I only have my x8 so i'm not so familiar with other devices...
can you please help me only with an answer for rooting and flashing rom?
can i flash any rom that is programmed for similar characteristics tablet? and is there a unique tool for rooting or is it device specific?

No. It needs to be made for you exact device or you will brick it and turn it into an expensive paperweight that will not turn on again.
Not all apps can be moved to the SD card. There might be ways around it, but it can be hit or miss and I wouldn't count on it.

Best tablet for the money under these circumstances...

I've read a few threads already about how the nexus 7 is the absolute best choice among all tables for the price to performance ratio... I'm sure it is, I will not disagree with you... My problem is I do not want a 7 inch tablet. I want a 10 inch one. Or at least a much larger one than 7 inches. I also do not want to spend 500$ for a good tablet, I'm not rich nor do I have enough money to save for a 400 or 500$ tablet. My max price is about 250, somewhere in that range... Thusbisbwhy I've referred to Chinese non brand tablets... I've read through many boards and have pretty much came across the 3 tablets to be the best. Please let me know if they are good decisions or if I should be looking up another tablet.
The ones I've found are: pipo max m9, cube g30gt2, and the primal p9x.
Is there anything I should know before thinking of these tablets as my choice? Or should I be looking at a different one. They all seem to have decent quad cores with 2gb of ram, but the primal has a better quad core, the cube has a really high res screen, and the pipo seems to be a decent one for the price with the same specs as the cube but with a lower screen res.
Please help me out!
Bump!

Might also be of interest for you: a russian tablet

Affordable price.
Looking at that, it is nice, but I don't see a price anywhere. I even googled it and couldn't find it. Nor could I find any reviews on youtube about it. Thanks for the suggestion, I just need to be able to look further into it before I heavily consider it.
Anyone else?
The Nettab Space III costs ~ € 300. The accurately identically constructed Xoro PAD 9718 DR costs € 200.
Yeah, 300 euro is much more than I intend to spend...

In case you are still reading this thread, I just received a Primal P9x and am very satisfied with it. In fact I am typing this very post on it
I am hoping someone here at xda may begin developing for it, its a very worthwhile device. I am tempted to see if other exynos 4412 based roms might work on it. The apk a member here made for rooting exynos 4412 devices worked on this too.
I recommend it highly.
I got my primal p9x the other day and am very happy with it. It took almost a month to ship it from china to the us. It looks like there is only one supplier selling it. So if you want a good cheap tablet and are patient, I would say go ahead and order one.
I have seen very little information on this table on the next and its quad core Samsung Exynos processor in this tablet.
I was able to successfully root it using the Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v15.zip

I got my P9x today as well and was quite pleased with it to start with (cf Cube U30GT-H it was replacing). Mine only has 1GB of Internal Storage when the specs say it should have 2GB. Towards the end of the day I noticed some issues with screen resolution (battery was low so I wonder???). It is cheap but is it too cheap?
Update - I used Chainfire's Exynos Abuse to root and patch the tablet and played around with the DPI settings 120, 160, 240... I am now using DPI 160 and the screen issues I had seem to be gone. It looks better with DPI 120 but I can't open settings in this mode.

[Q] Is there a prefered good chainese tablet ?

Hi, first .Please forgive my poor english. I will do my best to explain my problem.
In my long searches on the net for a good decent price chinese tablet to use on my laptop side, I noticed that there is always something missing : If the ram is enough than it can not adress more than 16GB or 32GB, if it can, than there is no GPS, if there is, than the camera is crap and if it has more than three of the above it can cost a fortune. and I can go on for ever.
I am looking for good tablet that can act as a laptop Substitute\fill in, that has : 2GB ram preferably more on the 3GB or 4GB direction, can adress at least 64GB or 128GB memory card, and\or an external hard drive, 9.7 -10.5 inch screen size, all the usual input out ports : USB 3, hdmi, ext, BT ,wifi, 3g, if there can be dual boot OK, quad or octa core cpu, can be software upgradable (yes, this is an issue with some devices).
didnt find anything that came even close. and I am willing to spend around $480
Perhaps I daemand to much, and there is no device that can do most of what I want ?
I would very much appreciate any answer that can direct my in the right direction.
Thank you.
Y.
