OPO websiteproblem, HELP! - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was given an account from a friend in Belgium who had an invite. I managed to buy the phone with some difficulty, he had to add the phone to the cart I then logged in and paid. I changed the account email address to my own email. The account seems to think its been hacked and now says
" Cannot save customer" any ideas how I can fix this. I will be getting invites on that account soon I imagine, which I want to give out.

Why are you asking here? Unless a OnePlus employee happens to stumble across this thread (which is highly unlikely) this is pretty pointless. You're better off contacting OnePlus support.

Help! i just purchased IM+ and i didn't receive anything

I've been using the IM+ trial for a few days. I liked it so i decided to buy it tonight. I went to the shapeservices page. Then to the im+ link. Then to purchase and buy. I chose the option to pay via paypal. all it said after payment was "thank you for buying our product." it didn't give me a registration code, or a download or anything. It didn't even ask me for my email address. What the hell is going on? i sent them an email but they haven't responded yet. Has anyoen purchased v 4.22 and have any tips for anythign i might have missed. thank you.

It maybe that the Trail does not expire and you already had the 'full' version.
thanks for the idea. unfortunately thats not it. Its not "beggerware." it only lets me do 12 messages per sign in. and then it tells me i cant send anymore because its a trial version
I would assume if you paid by PayPal they already have your email, and to prevent fraud, will validate PayPal transactions *before* giving you a code or full version.
Also, not everyone uses a 24/7 e-payment system that sends codes instantly, there are many small companies and independant developers that process these manually themselves each day, so there could just be a delay.
Try emailing them quoting the email address your PayPal account is registered too.

stay away from fastgsm.com

I paid my $20 via paypal. Their automated system happily accepted my payment then promply complained that my (paypal verified) email had not been verified and that I should follow instructions in the email they had sent.
I never received any such email. Not in regular, junk, spamassassin folders. This is my 100% reliable email address that never loses an email. I promply filed a complaint with paypal. Next day their response was that I did not respond to the email (that I never got) so they activated it manually but I have already lost confidence and want my money back. So far they have refused to offer me a refund so I am continuing to fight it on paypal.
My advice is to stay away!
Hi,
1. we do use Google Premium (Paid) services to send out the emails. It is most reliable service in the market.
2. You can any time ask for verification via separate email.
3. We never refuse to make refund if credit not used
Your situation mostly happens when you use stolen PayPal and can not control PayPal primary email. Or maybe you are competitor who try to damage reputation - you have 2 posts only so you do not have any reputation.

guess so.. Wah Wai Electronics or something similar is their paypal name.
To unlock your phone, call your provider customer service and say politely "I would like to have my phone unlocked. Can you please provide me the code?" and viola - you have your code in the mail in about 3-7 days. Even if you are on the contract, they will get it to you in anyway. Use google people.
PS: I unlocked my Nokia while being on the contract, on the 5th month

Beware! fastgsm scam!
They suspended my account immediately after I purchase $20 credit. It’s been almost a week and multiple attempt to contact them and all I got is automated reply.

[Q] geotrust are asking for a copy of my ID?

right, i have followed a guide from somewhere to get a students developer account.
i did this because i dont want to spend $99 to post an app that may never get published. and i am also 17 so i dont really have $99 to spare.
they are asking for a copy of my photographic ID.
i was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.
and i dont know if they want proof that the .edu email address is actually legit, because its not :L, what should i do?

This is part of the process if you want to get verified and became a registered developer. This was also described during the whole process as something you would have to do in order to get verified. It happens to everyone.
If you are still interested, send them your ID. The worst they can say is no.
yeah true, i dont have an ID right now as i have just passed my driving test so i have sent off my provisional so it will have to be another day.
its the right info for my windows live account, but thats about it
Are you aware they tend to require the I.D within 3 business days of receiving the geotrust email?
Ya I had to give them my id too.
I followed the same guide and had no problems.
I faxed and emailed my id and was approved within 24 hours
I'd email them and tell them you lost your id and will have a new one in a few days and give them a birth certificate or something.
Hope this helps
Unfortunately you have to be 18 to get your account validated. This happened to me and I had to wait.

[Q] Brand new OPO, never activated, blocked IMEI!! HELP!

I purchased the OnePlus One Sandstone Black 64 GB directly from oneplus.net after I finally received an invitation on January 09, 2015. I've been playing with it since I received it in the middle of the next week, but have not put in a SIM card. Currently, I'm using with my S5 for a little while longer with t-mobile.
I was looking tonight at different options and used the cricket website to test the IMEI/ESN number for this phone. It came back as blocked. I also used swappa.com and sure enough it's blocked
What in the world can I do?? I tried to post to the oneplus page but don't have enough responses yet. After reading all of the horror stories about their customer service, and since it has been over 14 days, I can only imagine the worst. I will call my credit union and see if I can dispute the charges since I was shipped an unusable (at least I think) phone and certainly hope I won't be expected to pay $349 for something I can't use.
Any help, suggestions, or ideas about what I can do in this situation will be greatly appreciated! Also, has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks!
I'd suggest you open an RMA request with OnePlus, as well as a PayPal dispute. Do the PayPal dispute first so that you can quote a reference number for the case when you request an RMA from OnePlus, they usually are more responsive when there's PayPal dispute involved.

Timmaaa,
Thanks for the idea of including the paypal dispute information, that is a great idea! I've added it in my ticket with oneplus and we'll see what happens next.
I did receive a response to the oneplus ticket that I opened last night. Basically in my ticket I was letting them know that I wanted to exchange my phone for one that is not blocked and one that I can actually use. (in re-reading it I may not have been clear enough on what I wanted though, so I was much more specific in my follow up). This was their response:
Hi Scott,
We're sorry that you no longer wish to keep your purchase. Unfortunately, we are only able to process devices or unopened accessory return requests made within 14 days of delivery, in accordance with our Return Policy (http://oneplus.net/privacy-and-legal#returnpolicy). Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Gail
--Sheesh, that isn't what I said at all
Just reply again, making sure that you're very clear about it being a defective unit.

Well, things went from broken to working really quickly. I explained to OP in better detail exactly what was happening and gave them my paypal dispute id. They wrote back to ask me for screen shots showing it was a blocked IMEI/ESN number. This morning when I went back to swappa and cricket the numbers were no longer blocked and showed clear and ready to go.
My best guess is that the blacklist database was having issues last weekend and gave a false report on my phone. I doubt that OP had a chance to fix the issue (I really don't know though I suppose they might have).
Anyway, this ended up with me apologizing to OP, and learning a lesson to wait a few days before jumping off the deep-end when something like this happens. In my defense though, spending $349 on a phone that was blocked was a hard pill to swallow
Timmaaa, thanks again for your help!
Scott
Glad you managed to get it resolved....... Enjoy your OnePlus One

You've been had, it seems they sold you a device that has been blacklisted due to non payment on their bill.
The only way to activate this phone is for the former owners bill to be paid, then they will remove the block.
Otherwise, sell it, but make it known to any buyers that it does not have a valid IMEI/blacklisted.
Don't cheat someone the way you were cheated, cut your losses and consider it a lesson learned, then be smarter the next time you buy a used device. Remember, when you find a deal that's too good to be true, it usually is.
If you buy from ebay, only buy devices that say they have a good/valid IMEI and only from sellers with a very high rating.
The safest option for buying used devices is to use Swappa.com.

Not sure if you got my earlier reply I just want to thank you for taking the time to answer my question.. Verizon totally left me in the dark basically. It's weird that Verizon won't let me pay a balance if there is one left won't lmk anything. Especially seems how I'm on a sister network and ultimately I'd be bringing them money in not even bring the phone in. Lol anyways I appreciate it again may try and sell it no worries won't do unto others what was done onto me feels kinda crappy.. ttyl

They won't discuss or handle anything specific about an account with anyone but the authorities or the owner of the account, for security and privacy reasons, they are bound by law on this.
On a side note, if you bought the device from eBay then eBay might reimburse your purchase because what you received was not what was listed, you didn't get what you paid for. It wasn't listed as invalid IMEI, it was posted and sold as if it was all legit when it wasn't. eBay might handle this for you, it's worth a shot, at least.
