I want to try some custom ROM on my O3D, till now I was always using stock ROM (v21a, b, e) yesterday I noticed no network signal on my phone (v21e) and there was few other things that make me mad and nervious about this phone (I dont use camera a lot but like 5-6 days ago when I want to take picture camera wont start so I have to restart the phone and try again very f...... annoying, today some strange noise is played every few minutes when I try to play some games and I play my games with no sound). As am stuck for now with this so call phone I want to hear your suggestions which custom ROM and kernel is most stable and recomended to use with this phone so I can have have everything working fine and smooth. Really sick and tired of this not so smart phone that needs restart every now and then (for me hardware is OK, but software is soooo messed up) so guys please help me to try something new and good. I never install custom ROM on any android phone so please have hart for me. One really BIG thanks.

Agree...everything runs perfect on Promethuis....currently on V1.3 and its just awesome. Camera shutter is so much faster (and 3d button becomes camera button, boots fast, and everything runs as it should. No GC either.
But you will need V21e baseband and this ROM for no GC.
Loving my phone again
I did update my phone to v21e so I guess my baseband is also v21e. Will try this ROM and coming back with impressions.

I hear 1.4 is awesome. My phone didn't like it for some reason and had terrible battery drain. Just try it for yourself and if you have problems just use 1.3.

I have tried use 1.4 BUT had terrible battery drain
Maybe I'll use V1.3 with stock kernel ? or 1.3 kernel ?

Just to clarify, this is a feature introduced by LG in all Gingerbread ROMs.

I used the 1.3+ kernel and it worked great for me. I had great battery life and it was really stable. Give it a try and if you don't like it then you can use stock. Maybe you could try 1.4 with the 1.3 kernel and see if that would get rid of the drain. Mix and match is what I would suggest!

I am just about to install 1.4. and will first try with stock kernel.Just last night I did full charge and went to sleep,in the morning battery was at 94% and everything was off no wifi,no 3G,no new messages and no alarm. Will test today and check which kernel is working best for me.

Was very happy with 1.3 so haven't tried 1.4. From the logs it is only a few minor tweaks.
Also using v1.3 Promethius Kernel. Battery is quite good. One full day based on moderate usage. Say 1 hour web, 10 mins talk time, 1 hour music, and 20 texts. Generally turn off 3G and Wifi unless required.
Although each battery charge seems to yield different results??? Got barely 3/4 today, based on same usage....a little inconsistent for battery drain.
Will try Thiaiz once the V21e version is complete.
And to clarify...using 1800mAh battery which holds a bit of extra charge than stock battery (1500mAh from memory)

what kind of 1800mAh you use. I also 1800mAh noname one and hold much less than the original.
It is normal to have around 1%/h drain
I also use the Promethuis Rom 1.3 and Kernel 1.3 and looks good. In new Kernel 1.5.3 (beta) there is minimal 100MHz rate with much lower voltage.
It is good to use SetCPU and build profile for the swtiched off display s.t. like CPU-100-300MHz on hotplug governor and SIO I/O sheduler. So your phone will never go to 1000MHz when is off.

Currently use a no name 1800mAh from Ebay...it definitely holds more charge than stock.
Kernel 1.3 has lowest clocking at 196MHz which i think is fine. Max at 1.2.
Over the last 2 days, have had some really bad drain. It coincides with me adding my work email onto the phone....with 3G on, it just seems to bleed charge like crazy. not sure if it is the email sync, or the battery itself.
Also downloaded some new apps, so not quite sure what is driving this decline in battery performance. Will post if i find out.
Well, Finally Rooted my Moto G Now Im seeking ROM's that have Good Battery life, and No roms that lower call volume, If thats a thing for Moto G. It was on my HTC Vivid.

Stock Rom
Stock is way better than custom ROMs, at last on my device
Try the last CM11(nigtly 02.04.14). It`s got good battery life(drops 1% per hour) and finally very loud and clear in call volume :good:
I too would recommend to flash latest CM11. The battery definitely gonna last longer as battery hogger Google apps won't run all the time and it had a decent call volume.
i think stock rom with xposed and greenify is the best combo for moto g..

As the title says, I own a global version of a MOTO G 8GB xt1032, after unlocking the bootloader and changing the original firmware, I experience nothing but force closing apps, weird performance issues, framerate drops. This does not stop even if I switch roms or kernels.
Anyone having this issue? Or better yet, a resolution for it?
What ROM are you using
Sent from my SM-T310 using XDA Free mobile app
Have used multiple. First I used CM than I used slim kat and nexus g ROM, now I am on paranoid android and the issues are still here. Yesterday I also tried to revert to stock that didn't help either. Frame rate is bad in apps and games
Have to mention before boot loader unlock I had over 17K on antutu, now it barely reaches 15k

Ok , soo I've read a few threads about this issue but have yet to found a fix/workaround. Ive only had the phone for a week now. When it comes to gaming and heavy usage of the phone . the back tends to warmup quite a bit around the camera piece, it just gets worst and worst. I got the 64gb version i believe with the Blackstone case, running SlimLp and Franco kernels. Just downloaded an app to under clock CPU see if that helps. Idk if its just a normal thing? Or should contact one plus on the issue.
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks in advance

Yes. Obey me.
It is perfectly normal. I once succeeded to keep my phone cool using an kernel and synapse settings(intelliplug, hotplug and some undetclocking). It didn't heat up at all while heavy gaming, but performance was lost; it lagged a lot.
So this is normal, you can search for this here in xda and also OnePlus forums.

I've done undervolt as well as under clock on Franco Kernel currently. I don't face any heating issue on heavy usage as well as under sun light conditions (high temperatures). If your device temperature goes above 50 degree centigrade, then you need to contact OnePlus, else it's normal.
If I undervolt - 75mv, I come across random reboot issues. I am on BlissPop with Franco Kernel. Environmental conditions do matter in keeping your device temperature to moderate level.

You could try turning off GPS and WiFi when not in use. That usually helps. Try an app called BetterBatteryStats. People in the thread for that app are usually pretty helpful in identifying battery drain issues. There is a little bit of a learning curve to using it though
Edit: Here is the main forum for that app
