Is there anyone out there playing Tiny Tower using your LG Optimus One phone? It lags a lot when i play. I'm currently using LG gingerbread 2.3.3 stock rom with the latest franco's kernel. I suspect the touchscreen bug is still there. Any better kernels to solve the touch lagging problem?
Hey there!
I play Tiny Tower, and it works perfectly fine for me! Of course, I own an Optimus One, but I've changed it ALOT.
I have minr running on these specs-
*CyanogenMod 7 6.5.4 by Mik_os
*Francos Gaming Kernal v20 (Not sure on the name)
*Overclocked at 728mHz with SmartAssV2
Also, I suggest a new rom, and also deleting bloatware and stopping unnecessary apps before playing will help!
So yeah, hope it helps,

If i change my Original Stock Rom to CyanogenMod 7, will all my apps and data be gone? Backing up is very troublesome. And what do you mean by bloatware? Any examples?
CyanogenMod 7 is the most tweakable ROM, so that's why most reccomend it. By using Titanium Backup you can backup/restore ALL apps with their data as well as the phone accounts (/data/system/accounts.db) and other stuff such as widgets, bluetooth pairings etc...
I usually go for a full reset when I flash a new rom, more so because I like the feel of a new rom without apps.
Bloatware. Ahh I hate it. Depending on what phone provider you are on, there may or may not be so called "bloat apps". Virgin Mobile AU doesn't have any thankfully, and even if your phone from the US etc has it, a new rom won't c;
Enjoy your new rom should you get one!

I'm also one of those who play tiny tower.
btw I'm running Mik's CM7 6.5.8 with goldleaf 2.6.32.9 but the game's still running smooth. I think's it's CM7's tweaks that matters.
I play it only when I'm connected to wifi. because I don't have data( long story).
I'm running the cyanogenmod 9 Lang rom.
stock .35 kernel and no over clock. I just raised my minimum to 600 also so I'm at 600 all the time when I'm using it.
if u r worried about rooting or flashing roms or kernels don't worry its safe. just look at this blog I found its great for ppl that nees help.

i suggest using rashed97's cm10 rom, because it implements project butter, and comes with overclock kernel of up to 787 mhz it is amazingly smooth. project butter is really working great.
also try this

oxygen gb + franco's #4 kernel
and your good to go
give it a try
Finally got the OTA for my Moto G and it appears you can swap Dalvik for ART. Has anyone tried it and seen a difference?
Tried doing it with my Gnex but it borked it (was one an incompatible ROM).

I'm using ART. All apps are working, no problem yet. One thing — I marked increase time of apps installing, and it's normal ART's feathure. General impression that ART+KitKat working faster and more smoothly than JB+Dalvik
Yes art here as well. Noticeable speed improvement across every aspect of ui
Moto Gee :-¢
Here is a posting detail which apps do and don't work under ART
http://www.androidruntime.com/list
Just in case you have a 'must have' app & then find out it won't run under ART

May I ask if the apps you have installed use more RAM while they are running?
Has you installed any system monitor apps and compared the RAM usage on some of the apps that you have installed?

I think that these are a bit unuseful questions, because in near future we have always only ART, so it's a bit unseful at least for me to do these questions i think.. :good:

Google's developers promise faster and more efficient execution, better battery life, and a more fluid experience.
Xposed or ART?
So if you have to choose between ART and Xposed, what would you prefere at this stage?
My G has still not arrived yet, have to wait till January to test it but that's a question what bugs me.
I've had very similar experiences switching to Android Runtime with both my N4 and Moto G. My biggest perception is that there is a decrease in the load time of most apps. Once an app is running, I'm not sure that it is any smoother then under dalvik, however, I certainly don't notice and any lagging with either model. One thing I have observed with the N4 but so far not yet with the Moto G is a slight decrease in battery life when running under ART.

No brainer to me, I stick with Xposed (I want Xprivacy and Gravity Box).
I tried ART briefly on my Nexus 7 2013 and the performance impact was not even measurable in benchmarks. I do however believe that this will change with further updates to ART.
I have ART enabled and use xposed along with all of my normal modules. No need to choose.

Impossible. Xposed doesn t work on art.
Well now I feel like an idiot... I had ART enabled before unlocking my bootloader. I didn't think to set it again so I guess I am not using it. I guess I choose xposed over ART

That would definitely happen - it has no need to run JIT first. I am wondering, did you run Antutu on ART?
I had to disable ART.. phone was acting up and some apps I use don't work with it. Might try to enable it again when I have time to mess around with it

Could someone please help me with performance issues on xiaomi mi 4i?
I keep every electronic device in my surroundings well- tuned but this device of mine
hardly gives 34000 score on 64bitantutu benchmark in performance mode, not only poor in
benchmarks but certain games like asphalt 8 even lag like **** on medium settings when on performance mode. Is this a make issue? Should I return this phone to flipkart? Any suggestions? I have maximally optimised this phone especially for running heavy games and that was the sole purpose to purchase it.
I am new to xda developers, and this is my first thread.
I get about 3.9k score on antutu and saw a post here abt someone getting the same score I haven't played that game but its a very high end game I would expect a few lags coz this is not a high end phone also wait for a few updates the recent updates have made the phone laggy for everyone they might fix that

Which miui version are you currently on man?
Also, I got hardly 10gb internal storage free once freshly unboxed the phone.
And there are major stutters on medium settings playing in performance mode itself!!! I have seen people play it on high with ease on this phone.

The latest 6.5.6 ( the most laggy update lol)
Sent from my Mi 4i using Tapatalk
I seem to have the issue slightly fixed! This somewhat works for me.
I turned all the animation scales in developer options to 0.5x.
This phone doesn't seem to heat much now in daily usage.
Major stutters seemed to decrease in asphalt 8.
Idk but I am not able to change memory optimization setting in developer options. (It remains on medium anyhow.).
Any other suggestions?

I suppose you confused the mi4 with the mi4i! You have sent the link to the mi4 developer rom. Anyway, I have tried the mi 4i developer ROM and I am now getting 39k on Antutu!!!
Thanks for the suggestion man, no hint of lag at all!!! Also, the device doesn't heat beyond 39°!!!
The Mi4i Still Has Heating Issue With The Developer Version.

Guys update to new version. It you haven't received the OTA, check out this link here. This update is really good. Major changes
http://en.miui.com/thread-129452-1-1.html
I installed 6.6.1.0 by not having tried the previous version, cuz my phone is new. And I'm SHOCKED about the performance of the device! Had a Galaxy S4 i9506 with Snapdragon 800 before which was running WAY more fluid?! Could it really be, that the 615 is THAT much slower and less snappy? Or is this all about the not-so-well-built MIUI6 on this device? I REALLY hoped the MI4I would be a good replacement...

I've been running this ROM for last 2 days now & not had any issues at all. Did you dirty flash or do a full wipe?
I had frequent SOD so I couldn't use as needed reboot quite often. Wouldn't wake from any long period of standby.....could be kernel related and linked to double tap to wake.....

I been using for quite pretty much a week or so, and have zero issues, it's doing great in every way.
And about camera? I've been using snapdragon camera, but photos are really pixelated and out of focus a lot of times, I tried several apps, but no success... Any ideas?

I liked ZTE camera too, but is it available and working for this rom? I installed one version that didn't worked well, lots of FC

Ok, already downloaded and tried, no luck... Still not satisfied, too much noise on the photos, but I think I know what the problem is... I also have a LG G4, and the photos are superb, and comparing both phones is not really fair, but I'm forced to compare... But thanks for the camera app, going to keep it.
I've just flashed the rom and working perfect... Thanx man..
2 days edit;
just an issue for this rom, I got a little bit heated back near the camera. when screen is locked, it's 39 Celcius. but while I was using Whatsapp and Facebook I checked it in CPU-Z and around 55 Celcius. Is it normal?
...yes, I been noticing that too, I think that the kernel does not have any thermal control enabled by default, just go to Kernel Adiutor and enable the thermal option, enable Core Control only. It's pretty much just a guess, but I think it may solve the overheat problem... By default it doesn't seem to have any thermal control enabled, you have to manually enable it . The best way is to ask the developer, Nutsda, I'm pretty much just trying to get there...
Thermal control should be enabled by default, if it isn't then enable it using kernel auditor & yes it does seem to be normal, I was reading a while back that it is a issue with the chipset our phones use & other phones using the same chipset, to run hotter than most phones, sitting between 50 & 60 degrees in use. The only real way to lower the temp is to drastically reduce performance
True, it's pretty much confirmed, have done some research and this chipset caused heating problems to several smartphones, it's not even about the phone brand, it's pretty much about the Snapdragon 615. In my phone it easily gets 65.C, but it's not big deal, if it fries up Vodafone will have to give me another one.
can do a port of rom miui 8 or rom pac?
