Go sms emoji plugin not installing - General Questions and Answers

Recently I upgraded my rom cm11 4.4.2 and I'm using go sms pro as my default SMS app. Before ROM upgrade, go SMS emoji plugin worked very well. But after I couldn't install that plugin even from Google play store. It shows a error that application is using same shared user id. Any solution? Will it work after resetting and flashing latest gapps?

Reflash your ROM. Wiping data or factory reset wont solve this seeing as the apk would have been in /system and not /data

i tried reflashing the rom and got the message app back but now when i open the message app this error comes up 'unfortunately messaging has stopped working;
i'll try the apk you gave evilmastr and report back
In Go Sms there is a check box for if you have deleted the stock app and want go sms to do that job. Find it and check it and that should fix you.

Google Voice
Have you tried using the Google Voice app? There is a setting that allows GV to be the default messaging app. I like the GV app better than the stock message app anyway.
I deleted two of my stock app; T-Mobile TV, and EA Games
I deleted those cuz i thought i didn't need them, soon after I restored my phone, which is a T-Mobile LG G2x Android 2.3.4, and then my google app didn't update like the other apps on my phone did. i really don't like that old google app cuz it was for the old version, anyway to get the update?

Google Talk and ICS Roms?

Hi - thanks to you all here I solved my previous issue - now I have a question hopefully you'll have the answer to.
I tried to find the google talk app - the one that lets you chat with your google contacts - but it's not in the ROM I'm using (CM9.01):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730954
Now I googled a bit and found some "inverted apps" that had all the google apps - so I tried to install it and no luck - It works but I can't chat with it - it shows my contacts and then I can type - but they don't receive the message and I don't receive theirs.
Is there an app or a tweak or a mod or a whatever that fixes this?
Cheers in advance guys!
Did you look I'm google play?l
I thought Talk was part of gapps. I am using FB's AOKP milestone 6, build 4 ROM, and I don't remember installing Talk individually. I use this almost exclusively to chat with one of my contacts all the time.

I did the additional install so that I could install the Google Play on the device - but no google talk was present.
gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
I searched the Google Play store to see if it was downloadable and I couldn't locate it.
Any ideas guys?
Talk is in gapps.

That's the same gapps file I flashed, so you should have it. Maybe doing all the clears and re flashing gapps.

I updated my international Galaxy Note to latest software and after this update I am unable to use Facebook messenger app and messaging into official Facebook app. Tried to clear cache, delete data and delete dvlik cache. Restarted, tried older version of messenger but I get all the time message "unfortunately, messenger has stopped ". Does anyone else has the same problem?

Cm 11 keyboard on omnirom?

I'm loving omnirom the battery life is amazing and runs incredibly smooth. As a long time cyanogenmod user the only thing Im missing is the keyboard with the long press for question marks, comas, ect. So I had the idea to extract the keyboard from a Cm nightly, problem is it wouldn't install because of the original keyboard installed in omnirom(installed names matched). I also tried uninstalling the keyboard with titanium BU and then installing the keyboard, which worked, but once again problem arose because when i update to the next omni nightly it overwrites the keyboard with the stock omni keyboard.
Has anyone found a way to installed the CM keyboard on omnirom with out removing the original omni keyboard? Thanks in advance.

Are you installing it as System app? If so, do it as user app (data/app)
How do I go about doing that if I use any file manager or installer it automatically installs as a system app

There are many apps that can do that. Like Rom toolbox lite.
You open the app, go to application manager, tap on the keyboard app, tap advanced, convert to user app.
I'm at work right now I'll try it when I get home appreciate you input thank you

Sadly I tried to move the stock keyboard to a user app but it still wouldn't install the cm11 keyboard install and if I uninstall the original keyboard, it installs the cm11 keyboard as a user app also seeing as they are both called aosp keyboard looks like I'll have to deal unless I can find out how to change the name of an installed app

The app you need to convert to user is cm11 keyboard with the steps i gave above. So, it stays after a flash, you can also freeze the stock one using rom toolbox in order to have only one keyboard

I did as you said and will gladly try again when there is a new nightly up to see if it keeps the keyboard there
UPDATE
Just installed the newest nightly and even with the cm keyboard installed as a user app it removes it and installs the stock omni one

Hangouts black screen

I am trying to send a photo through Google Hangouts.
I select the pic from the gallery and click the "share via" icon then select hangouts
then I select my account then the person I want to send pic to and all I get is a black screen and the top status bar is blinking on and off .
It never sends the picture and i have to back out of the app.
Just wondering if anybody has had a similar experience and maybe someone can help me fix this issue.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer .
For if you can tell me which device you are using
Its rooted or not

well i don't really want to do a factory reset.
but i will give it a try.
i have my system backed up anyway so if it doesn't fix it I will just restore backup.
thank you for advice.
Are youbusing custom rom
Sent from my SM-G355H using XDA Free mobile app
yes this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...x-4-0-touchwiz-4-4-2-ucufne4-8-12-14-t2848080
also it used to work fine
then it just stopped working no error message at all it just stays on the black screen with the status bar at top blinking.
If you want that your device should do for what you bought it than please do not install any custom rom.
I am not against its a good idea to have custom rom but flashing it over stock is a baaaaaad idea. You can dual bood all roms.
Stock rom provide all features to do all for what you bought.
I know stock touchwiz is laggy and is waste for fast ones.
But you can always twick stock rom rather than just installing custom roms.
Just refer to my topic

Well I wound up reflashing the rom from scratch again.
Hangouts is now working with no problem.
The only thing i can think of that might have caused this was probably playing around with the DPI settings.
Not really sure though it is the only thing i recently tweaked.
Ya it could be dpi. I havey dpi changed and all works fine except dialer amd camera and gallery all non stocks app work fine but sone have problem.
You can correct ig by using xposed module and as setting module.
Install both the app and restore that apps setting to default which is not working well. I did this on my core 2 and it works well
