Hold just the power button for 30 seconds while the phone is unplugged from the computer, then plug it into the PC. Does anything change?

What did you do to brick it?.. You didn't try flashing/tweaking anything, it just stopped?.. When you plug it in does it charge?.. Can you enter fast boot?

i have the same error, i delete the partitions and reboot before send the new over fastboot
there is a way to fix this?

To my knowledge, getting the qhsusb_bulk on your computer is a hard brick, and cannot be fixed, without sending it back.

And I've bookmarked that one.

Has exactly the same problem MSMTool looped on 8974_msimage, log has following lines:
[1.#INF00] Device Arrival: \\?\USB#VID_05C6&PID_9008#6&28504aee&0&4#{86e0d1e0-8089-11d0-9ce4-08003e301f73}
[1.#INF00] Device Remove: \\?\USB#VID_05C6&PID_9008#6&28504aee&0&4#{86e0d1e0-8089-11d0-9ce4-08003e301f73}
Device disconnected each time after progress of "flashing" 8974_msimage ended.
Did No ROOT, No Flash, just common use. Make OTA upgrade once received.
After about a month of using after update - it just did not powered on morning (did not charge it that night - it had 96% on evening). Now detected as QHSUSB_Bulk. No luck with Color OS method.
Has no more idea what to try to recover it

No the battery was about 90% and my charger works with my hd2 ^^
Don't boot, no charging light and just a sound when I put the usb cable to computer with a driver installation fail : QHSUSB_dload, and this too in device manager on windows !
Try volume down + power button for ten seconds or so, then release the volume button and press it again shortly but keep the power button down. This always works for me!

So, do you think I must send it to repair center and hope to have a S4 model or I wait for battery totally discharge and put the charger on and try again to boot ?

Any luck? My phone just randomly did this....
This exact thing happened to me. I think there might be a bug with the phones

The way I noticed that it triggers it is downloading a huge file 100mb or higher and while that file downloads deleting another file just as big. The phone will shut off and after that no led light turns on and can't restart it or anything

S3 wont budge after root

I am not the owner of this phone.
I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 that was rooted using a "teamviewer" like program by a customer and an outside source. After root was "successful" the rom was flashed and the phone rebooted and shut down (as customer recalls it). This phone is running 4.08 on a wall charger through a volt meter and the battery is reading the same if not a bit less. The vibrate during start up does not occur and the lights for charging are not lit up. Any help towards getting this figured out please let me know. Appreciate the help in advance
Well when you pull the battery and put it back and then try to hold volume up, home and power dies it do anything?
Also, when plugged into pc does it ask for any drivers? I'm betting your customer installed an international version ROM and it's hard bricked.
Sent from my SCH-I535
I had already done what you mentioned and the forums were my last resort haha. It does ask for drivers but I had to find the download for them and am currently trying to run the phone through adb devices but it is seeming like it wont pick it up.
What us the driver name and with the button combo did it respond?

pull the battery for like 5 minutes and try again. if still unresponsive then you have a brick.

Just to be clear, you are trying to get it to download/recovery mode from the phone being powered off right? It won't get there when its powered on and stuck at "Galaxy S III" screen. Pull the battery and hold down the button combinations until you see "Samsung" with small blue text in the upper left hand corner and as soon as the screen goes black, release the buttons.
It almost sounds like they installed a rom that needed the bootloader workaround.. in which case I'd be stumped at what's needed then, jtag...?
What rom was flashed? Any way you could provide a link or recall its name?

Specifically, what rom was it? Sounds to me that a I9300 rom was flashed. If that's the case, the phone is hard bricked. You need a JTAG to fix it.

And with volume down?
I made a mistake:*volume up is for fastboot (when enabled), down for recovery.
You might have to try power during 15*seconds before. And do not plug your phone.

Try hold on volume up and down and power button at the same time for 30 second I think its kernel panic.
Also leave phone charging for a few hours and don't touch it see if it also was a bit low battery.

Given it's not responding to that, and no lights when plugged into power, I'd say it's probably hard bricked and unrecovaerable. That's the risk when playing with things like dual boot etc I guess. Or just bad luck.

Might have bricked my phone?

I was using lrteam twrp 3.4.2b-1206 and I was sideloading the vendor update for 12.2.1.0 when the progress bar froze. I gave it 10 minutes and held the power button to reboot and now the phone is showing no signs of life i cant get it to even show the poco screen. I've got no ideas left on what to do.

If the the phone appear in qualcom usb, flashing in EDL will be possible and requires an authorization that only official repairers have.

To try to restore the phone yourself, you must use commands in fastboot or adb.

the power button for a minute didnt do anything either sadly. Im trying to get into edl so i can try and recover it with QPST, but even after opening the phone up and trying to get into edl through hardware, i was only able to get the red charging light to start showing whilst charging. Should I try to disconnect and reconnect the battery maybe?

Yep, can't hurt at this point.
You can try this:
Recharge the battery for at least 1 hour (even if you think it is already charged)
after connect it by usb and press the power button first, power button with volume -, button with volume +, and try to see if it appears on the pc and in what way.
