help with 1080p - Android Stick & Console Computers General

Hi guys,
I've noticed when I set my android stick to 1080p there is a small flicker in the picture, anyone know why?
It doesn't do this at lower resolutions.
I'd also love to flash a more recent ROM to the device but I don't think its a popular
one, can anyone help here? Its the device in the link below.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Anyone have any advice at all?

[Q] Screen recording

Hello, guys!
Here's the deal: I got this Xoom (MZ604), with android 3.1, unrooted.
I'm in a Mac computer
and I want to, somehow, capture the screen actions, in video format.
What do you guys recommend me?
record via the mac, some app that records (I know one, but it doesn't work with tegra devices - like the Xoom, right?)? do I have to root it? Better to upgrade to some ICS first and do something?
Anyways, any kind of help will be very welcome.
Looking forward to your answers!
Thank you very much!

No support for tegra yet. But please let us know if something pops up. Actually, there may be a way using hdmi-out to a capture card. Hmmm.
So stuff like this doesn't work?

[Q] HBO Go. Is this a known issue?

Happy new year to everyone!
I've tried to find info on this matter, but I haven't found anything anywhere, I hope somebody here would be able to help with this.
I have HBO Go installed on my ex-Kindle Fire running AOSP JELLY BEAN 4.2.1_r1. . It works fine; closed captions, great image quality, etc. But for some reason it won't prevent the device from going to sleep while playing. Does anybody know if this is a known issue?
Is there something I can do at this end to make it work? How?
I depend heavily on this app to survive the long, boring nights behind the front desk, and this issue is really annoying. Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Bump up. Nobody?

I just stumbled on your topic by accident and perhaps I have an idea if you have not found anything yet.
I presume your new display has a different Screen Density (DPI) than the original one and therefor the scaling is off.
There are a couple of options to change it like apps on the playstore or using custom roms with built-in functions or editing the actual build.prop file yourself. Since its a system edit you usually would need to be rooted to be able to do it. Do a search for "changing dpi on android" here or google, you'll find many articles.

[Q] YouTube issue on CM12 Lollipop

Hey guys! First post on here, sorry if I'm doing it wrong, please bear with me.
So my problem is that ever since I've upgraded from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2, I can't read videos in 720p anymore, and apparently it comes from the ROM. It would bother me a lot to downgrade just because of YouTube, especially when I had quite a hard time upgrading for material reasons, so I'd like to know if maybe there's some fix going around or if anyone experienced the same issue here and found a solution? Of course I'm gonna pursue my research for a solution as well but if anyone could help me in the meantime, I'd be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

[q]SGH-i727 60FPS Video?

Hi
I just bought this phone because the camera was better than my old phone. I was just wondering, does anyone know how to record 60 fps video? Custom ROM or Kernel to use for this?
I have tried the updated stock firmware with LG Camera and Open Camera with settings of 60fps, but it only records in 30fps. Either 30 fps or it crashes too.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
Also, I searched and found another thread on XDA with no answer, but someone else also asked this question too. It is now 2015 and those threads are outdated.
Hope I can find an answer,
Thank you!~
