Hey guys! First post on here, sorry if I'm doing it wrong, please bear with me.
So my problem is that ever since I've upgraded from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2, I can't read videos in 720p anymore, and apparently it comes from the ROM. It would bother me a lot to downgrade just because of YouTube, especially when I had quite a hard time upgrading for material reasons, so I'd like to know if maybe there's some fix going around or if anyone experienced the same issue here and found a solution? Of course I'm gonna pursue my research for a solution as well but if anyone could help me in the meantime, I'd be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

My other half ran across this on a Nexus5, after searching around a little bit i found this https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=62562 post #23 has a source code fix, im not savvy enough to build it but maybe it'll help you out more than it did me.

Does anyone know how to apply this fix?
No stutter here (PowerAMP, GPE)
The stuttering only happens in certain players like google play. I also was thinking whether anyone could make a flashable file with that fix.
I have been trying for two days to get the Google dialer to work on my Galaxy S3 running 4.4.2 rooted with towelroot. Tried everything I know except for flashing the zip because I don't yet have a custom recovery. Any help would b appreciated. My guess is that it's conflicting with touchwiz.

Sorry about my delay. Yepppp cant seem to get it to work, im guessing it's to do with the samsung framework. Ive gotten to a point where I can get it to launch but contacts wont show and calling will cause the app to crash despite also including the callui and callprovider apks. Forgive me if my description is a little inaccurate as im not looking at my phone at the moment

I just got my shield and i have to say i am pretty impressed with the way it handles my apps and games, one hell of a gaming tablet.
Ive updated to lollipop and alittle buggy and can cause lag at times.
Just wondering if there is way i can downgrade back 4.4.2 and any instructions to help me do this.
Thank you.

Yup I used that same video, it kinda sucks you have to register as a developer but it's easy as pie once you get the Kitkat package. There's a batch file in it too so really just get the factory image, extract, have ADB installed, run batch file, wait 10 minutes.
Ive registed as developer but i think im doing some wrong because it asking to join something else after.
After searched everything online i couldn't find any help, so here it is:
My honor 8 suddenly has stopped searching the contacts by T9 on the stock dialer.
Have already searched every item on the definitions, but i simply couldn't found anything related to this, so is there any clever soul who can help me??
Any suggestion will be very appreciated!
Thanks in advance
If you're still having trouble with this, I came across this https://www.reddit.com/r/Honor8/comments/7vhl37/how_do_you_enable_t9_typing_on_the_dialer/
It fixed it for me, hope it works for you.

I'm glad it worked for you, but I can't take any credit for the solution - I just posted the link for you.
Just to comment to you.
This anomaly only happened after one year, then i solved it with this tip, but now, after 4 or 5 days i have to do it again in order to have this working normally!
Maybe it is due to the 1100 contacts i have on the phone...not sure.
If you wan't working t9 dialer contact search you must turn off google contact sync, then rebuild database and problem solved.
Huawei know this bug and will be repaired in next builds for h8, p9lite, honor7 lite and others.
Thanks

Thanks, however it works only until next day, then I have ro rebuild the DB again. I have Honor 8 / EMUI 5.0.1 / Android 7.0. Seems the problem started to appear after latest upgrade to Nougat.

Same here Mate!
Has anyone been able to find a Gcam APK that works properly. For the most part I love everything about this phone but the camera is like a average mid range camera. Obviously we all didn't buy this phone for it's camera but I'm hoping there is a way to make it a bit better.
There's already an extensive discussion on the subject here.
I got it up and running thanks for the help
