Here's the deal: I got this Xoom (MZ604), with android 3.1, unrooted.
I'm in a Mac computer
and I want to, somehow, capture the screen actions, in video format.
What do you guys recommend me?
record via the mac, some app that records (I know one, but it doesn't work with tegra devices - like the Xoom, right?)? do I have to root it? Better to upgrade to some ICS first and do something?
Anyways, any kind of help will be very welcome.

No support for tegra yet. But please let us know if something pops up. Actually, there may be a way using hdmi-out to a capture card. Hmmm.

I rock a Droid Eris (yes I'm pissed that Verizon isn't going to release a Stock Froyo ROM) and before I root it and put Froyo on it JUST to spite Verizon, I want to make absolutely sure the phone is in good working order before I void the warranty.
I think I'm getting phantom screen taps but I'm not sure, so I'm looking for an app that will do the following:
1. Log the number of screen taps in realtime
2. show where on the screen the latest few taps were located on the screen, using colors, crosshairs, ect.
Can anyone recommend such a touch screen test app?

Way to necro a post dude!
Although I did find a good touch screen test for the tablets I sell. I think its called "TouchUtil" or something similar. If you are still interested, I'll go to work and see what its exactly called.

Hi! I just bought me an Archos 9 pctablet, I love it, but unbelievable, it can be even better! If it just got android.. So i wonder if it ANY chance to get android on this device? I would do anything for it!

I seem to recall a project to port android onto windows. Something similar to Puppy Linux where you put it all on a live cd, but you can also put it on a flash drive. Search for Android-x86 on google- they just released 2.2. Hope this helped!

Unfortunately, I do not have a solution to either of those questions. I do not actually own an archos 9. I myself, would check out the archosfans forums for a solution as well as here. Sorry I couldn't be of more service.

Rooting is basically flashing your phone for more customizations, faster speeds, basically making your phone "YOUR PHONE" if that makes sense....lol Im new to this but thats what i get out of it. I rooted my Epic 4g lastnite for the 1st time.

This is the newest version on uberdroid, i have a older version installed, but i plan on trying this one myself whenever i get my tablet back (I accidentally left it at a cabin by the lake) it looks like they have added alot since the old versions.

Tried this one yesterday...Touchscreen is now very responsive. Haven't tested the tablet thoroughly but 1 negative I noticed is the sound became softer. I had to use a headset to hear the music i was listening to.
2.3? If the sources are available, maybe...
The roms sited on technow are still 2.2, but themed to look like 2.3. I haven't seen anything that indicates gingerbread will run on this as of yet...
Although I'm still trying to get the touchscreen working on it. May be a while I've tried 5 "option" numbers so far...

I installed Modroid V011 lite from HERE in a 7" Wondermedia 8650 green led, and it works great, the only issue I have is the battery icon that always shows 100%, but it doesn't bother me

this site has roms i have tried just about them all. on my wm8650 10" green led vibrates at start.
from what i have seen and experienced with thees wm8650 is you need to know led color and if it vibrates at start + screen size. these are easy to flash roms to.
2.2 can upgrade to [email protected]@

EDIT: Got 2 FC when started recording, tried to change settings but now the app won't start at all.
I'll send a bug report but I'm assuming it's nothing related to the app itself but with the latest CM10.2 (4.3) I installed.

I'm trying now on Android 4.3 and it's working fine.
Have you tried to change resolution in the settings?
It maybe need to use a lower resolution to record.

Well, I don't speak spanish (I think that's it ^^) but it looks like you just want to control your phone from the pc. Check out BBQScreen, this app does exactly what I think you want.
Edit: This app currently doesn't work on Lollipop, so if you have android 5.0 you will have to wait for the fix (like me )
