Hi! I just bought me an Archos 9 pctablet, I love it, but unbelievable, it can be even better! If it just got android.. So i wonder if it ANY chance to get android on this device? I would do anything for it!
Best regards Galaxxxy
I seem to recall a project to port android onto windows. Something similar to Puppy Linux where you put it all on a live cd, but you can also put it on a flash drive. Search for Android-x86 on google- they just released 2.2. Hope this helped!
thank you! But the touchscreen dont work.. does and do u know how to get android market via bluetooth to this thing?

Unfortunately, I do not have a solution to either of those questions. I do not actually own an archos 9. I myself, would check out the archosfans forums for a solution as well as here. Sorry I couldn't be of more service.

That's totally not what he meant....
There is an ARM version of BackTrack Linux 5 that was designed to boot on the xoom, and I believe it there is also a write up of how to get it working on the iconia a500 as well. I tried following the xoom instructions and it didn't work on the transformer, but someone with more knowledge might be able to get it working right...
yea a.mcdear thats exactly what iam talking about was just wondering if this chip was able to go into monitor mode if soo i shall figure out a way to make backtrack work on the tf.
Just do a search through the forums here, I know there's instructions for Xoom and I think the other I've seen is Iconia, but not sure. Its been awhile since I looked into getting Backtrack to run on the Transformer...
As far as whether or not promiscuous mode is supported... i'm not sure. With the right driver I don't see why it couldn't work.
thanks for the info if i have any luck wiil post
Got it Working
just got bt setup on the transformer wasnt to hard found this site "le.9.over-blog.com/article-backtrack-5-sur-un-asus-eee-pad-transformer-77610821.html" had to translate it tho but after that was really easy...
Hello, guys!
Here's the deal: I got this Xoom (MZ604), with android 3.1, unrooted.
I'm in a Mac computer
and I want to, somehow, capture the screen actions, in video format.
What do you guys recommend me?
record via the mac, some app that records (I know one, but it doesn't work with tegra devices - like the Xoom, right?)? do I have to root it? Better to upgrade to some ICS first and do something?
Anyways, any kind of help will be very welcome.
Looking forward to your answers!
Thank you very much!

No support for tegra yet. But please let us know if something pops up. Actually, there may be a way using hdmi-out to a capture card. Hmmm.
So stuff like this doesn't work?

Actually, I'd never seen that before. Ill check it out tonight.
Ok, I know I'm going to be crucified for it, but I can't find a proper answer for my question. I've been using the search function for a while now.
I have a program installed to help me study my japanese, but it will not display characters in certain parts of the program. However, in my emulator 9on my pc) it works fine. My first thoughts is it is the ROM (SLIM ICS) I'm using since it's not supporting japanese (duh, I know). Oh before I forget, I'm using an AT&T Captivate.
So is there a way for me to install the support for it without spending hours doing it? I'm still kind of new to it all, but by no means stupid. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps!
did you try this?

Hello guys im new here, dont know soo godd english, but i will try to ask i Q
Here is a problem, i have a phone "Samsung Vodafone M1 GT-I 6410, and his OS is Linux, i ask you can i install Android on this phone? Becouse Linux is so Iritating , big Sh*t . Thanky you for the answers
I could be wrong, but I thought this phone ran Windows Mobile v6.5?
My bad - looks like it's running LiMo (Linux Mobile). According to this Youtube Video it might just be possible, but good luck with it.
According to XDA it doesn't look likely though.
Might just be time to get a new phone.
Oh, and by the way - what do you think Android is built on? Linux :O

Hehe no answer for that Q

LiMo is awful. Really slow and useless OS. It would be really great if anyone could port Android 2.3 to M1 i6410. Doesn't mather if it doesn't have Wifi.
