Hi
I just bought this phone because the camera was better than my old phone. I was just wondering, does anyone know how to record 60 fps video? Custom ROM or Kernel to use for this?
I have tried the updated stock firmware with LG Camera and Open Camera with settings of 60fps, but it only records in 30fps. Either 30 fps or it crashes too.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
Also, I searched and found another thread on XDA with no answer, but someone else also asked this question too. It is now 2015 and those threads are outdated.
Hope I can find an answer,
Thank you!~

Are you looking for an app to record your Android screen?
Do you want to record a screencast?
Here’s how to do it with a very nice app and few tips.
http://techcookies.net/how-to-record-your-android-screen-to-create-a-screencast/
Will try this, could be really handy. Thank you.
EDIT: Got 2 FC when started recording, tried to change settings but now the app won't start at all.
I'll send a bug report but I'm assuming it's nothing related to the app itself but with the latest CM10.2 (4.3) I installed.
Will keep trying and posting here any advance. Thank you!
Hi,
Can you check it now?
The author just release a new version today.

Nope, but I'm pretty sure it's a rom issue. I recently found out it still has some problems related to video, so I will try again the SCR as soon it gets solved. Thank you!

Hi,
I'm trying now on Android 4.3 and it's working fine.
Have you tried to change resolution in the settings?
It maybe need to use a lower resolution to record.
Let me know!

Cheers.
Is there a feature to record the sound while recording the screen?
That would be very nice for tutorials
I've been reviewing all the Nexus 5 videos and it looks like the Nexus 5 suffers from the "breathing autofocus" problem that many LG phones (including the recently released G2) struggle with. Has anybody been able to figure out some work around or fix?
If you're not sure what I'm referring too, basically the videos seem to breath/bounce/throb whenever you move it around or something moves into view as the camera focusses. It's really a deal breaker for me which is a shame as otherwise I would pick up this phone in a second.
Any ideas whould be appreciated.
Thanks.
I'm not disagreeing, I know exactly what you're talking about...
But is there a phone that doesn't do this? My DSLR even does it, which is why autofocus isn't suggested for recording video on DSLRs...

Okay agreed, but the question is: how do I switch autofocus off?

Many phones don't do this.
The iPhone 4S and 5 does not do this. Neither does the Note 3. I've tried them myself.
I also haven't noticed it on MotoX videos I've seen online.
Hi guys,
I've noticed when I set my android stick to 1080p there is a small flicker in the picture, anyone know why?
It doesn't do this at lower resolutions.
I'd also love to flash a more recent ROM to the device but I don't think its a popular
one, can anyone help here? Its the device in the link below.

Hi all,
I was recording with my phone last night and when I went to check back on the video, it wasn't there? I'm on Carbon ROM and disabled the camera app, tried google camera from play store thinking it would help, but it hasn't, anyone had this problem before? Any help would be appreciated! Cheers

It would be better to ask in the Carbon ROM thread. No issue on my rom.

Has anyone been able to find a Gcam APK that works properly. For the most part I love everything about this phone but the camera is like a average mid range camera. Obviously we all didn't buy this phone for it's camera but I'm hoping there is a way to make it a bit better.
There's already an extensive discussion on the subject here.
I got it up and running thanks for the help
