I want to install cwm recovery on my funbook p280. My device is already rooted but not unlocked my bootloader to install custom roms please help me. My device is rooted with the help of bin4ry. (Same procedure followed for a89). I tried a lot of procedures like novotools, nandroid manager, flashing cwm using adb drivers, rom manager they are not working. My device has Jellybean(4.2.2) inbuilt.

Rooting funbook p280
1.Enable usb debugging in settings -> Developer options in your tablet
2.connect your tablet to pc(Windows 7 or xp)
3.You have to innstall adb drivers in your pc.
4.Unzip A89 Rooting.rar file.
5.Then run Runme.bat file.
6.Select option normal by entering option 1.
7.Then follow instructions on the screen.

Stock rom installation on Funbook P280
1.Download stock rom and Live suite pack from attachments.
2.Switch off your Tablet.
3.Connect your device to your pc(windows xp or windows 7)
4.Now press volume down and power button until the pc detects and shows unknown device in device manager.
5.Then double click on live suite pack.
6.While extracting it will ask for installing drivers automatically.
7.I will post remaining on next replay.

alternate method for rooting very easy
Steps :
1. download file from here (Bin4ry)
http://*******/HSpiK
2. Now download adb drivers. you can get the package by searching for 'adb drivers'
check http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1662082 for more info
3. after you have installed it , go to the settings
Tick these 'Security -> unknown sources' and 'Developer options-> USB debugging'
4. Connect the device simply to pc usb port , do not turn on usb storage in device , just connect and keep it . In the device you can see 'usb debugging' in the bottom right corner after connecting
5. Now extract the zip file downloaded earlier , that is , the Bin4ry
6. Run 'RunMe.bat'
7. now type '1' and press enter
8. Now some things come writing like 'pushing busybox , super su' something like that
9. after some time it will say to click restore on device.
10. now look at the device and we can see that there two options , restore data and dont restore.
11. Click restore data.
12.wait some time and the device will restart
13.Now on the computer screen we can see that the successfully installed message.
14. Now to check whether you have rooted correctly , install 'root checker' from play store on the device and run it and click check or verify.
15. Boom !! It says device is rooted
16. Or just simply check your device's application area for 'SuperSU' application . If it is there , you have rooted correctly otherwise something have gone wrong. Just redo the steps it is simple. (please check whether you have installed adb drivers correctly)

help in rooting

hey can anyone help me in rooting my phone Micromax A110
1) Download the flash tools from anywhere preferably most updated one: SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1224.01
2) Download the recovery and Sotck ROM provided by OP
3) In your desktop / laptop please ensure you allow installation of unsigned drivers (youtube will help for this)
4) Download and install MTK6577 Drivers for your device (this will only work after you clear step 3)
5) If still not working, download USBDEVIEW (usb driver remover) and run it as "Administrator" uninstall all the USB drivers relevant to your device.
6) Now connect your phone, with portable media option selected in USB. Let it install and finish
7) Once done switch-off your phone while it is connected through USB (Again this will install a driver which will look like MTK65xx something...
8) Remove the battery of phone let your PC install the driver again (battery not plugged in). You will see for a shot time that charging icon will appear on phone and disappear
10) To confirm this, put your battrey again back in your phone with USB (still) connected to PC
11) To confirm this again, go to system manager and look for MTK 6577 something ... something...
12) Now disconnect your phone and switch it on
13) Start the flash tool
14) Select the Scatter loading file from Stock ROM folder
15) Click Firmware download / upgrade
16) Connect your phone (which i assume is switched on), once you connect switch it off (no need to remove battery or anything)
17) Look at the status bar of your flash tool (nothing to worry, no need to do anything)
18) RED Bar -> Yellow Bar -> Green Ring ( this process of flashing the entire new stock ROM should take not more than 2 - 3 minutes )
19) Disconnect
20) Reboot
21) You are on new Update
The same procedure you can apply for flashing the CMW / TWRP Recovery. Or if you do not want to re-do the procedure, simply replace the stock recovery.img with TWRP / CMW / LEWA recovery.img whichever you like; in this way you do not repeat the process of flashing custom recovery
I believe you must have the idea how to flash the Super user after this in case you wana root your phone.
Hit thanks if i helped

I tried following the tutorials

and here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2466694
but I had the same issue both times.
When I connect the phone (switched off) it connects (I can hear the sound) and then disconnects (again the sound) and starts charging.
I used the PdaNet+ drivers, the drivers of canvas hd (a116), and many others (Names of all the drivers further below the thread)
I tried using a different cable, removing the battery, different USB ports, multiple PC's, and 64bit versions of Windows 7, and windows 8/8.1, still, had the same issue..
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
What I did :
Open the SP flash tool (with admin permissions)
Load the scatter file
Check the box that says 'DA DL All With Check Sum'
Hit download
Connect the phone (switched off)
Now the issue starts, it connects, then disconnects, and starts charging.
The flash tool, it just keeps on searching for my phone.
Other Drivers I tried :
Micromax A116&A240 Drivers (from XDA)
a116_driver (from Micromax India download section)
AdbDriverInstaller (from XDA)
MTK6589_PdaNET_ADB_VCOM_Drivers (from the first tutorial link above)

PdaNetA4126 (from PDA website)

Try this driver, now this driver comes from a backup from my Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit install and should work on your Win8 64bit too,
though you HAVE to disable Driver Signature Enforcement (google it) or else it won't install..

Driver problem solved
I had the same problem, phone connecting then disconnecting.
Here is a solution for the problem.
1. Install latest drivers
2. Disconnect phone
3. Open SP Flash Tool
4. Select Scatter-loading and select the files required
4. Now here is the trick, in SP Flash Tool, go to ACTION > DOWNLOAD
5. Connect the phone (which should be switched off)
