[Q] System locks up or reboots after fall - Asus Transformer TF700

All,
I know this is of my own doing but dropped the TF701 a few weeks ago. Looked like everything survived unscathed with the exception of the top right corner of the gorilla glass being cracked. But I spoke too soon!
For the last few weeks, the unit will be working fine and then all of a sudden I will get multiple horizontal lines across the screen and the unit locks up. I was wondering if anyone else out there has had a similar issue, and is it worth getting repair?
Not sure if this is due to the glass being cracked or is their something more serious with the innards...
Opinions welcome!

Sounds like hardware damage to me - I'd get it replaced or repaired.

dust under screen

I recently took a closer look at my sensation and have noticed several spots underneath the screen that I believe to be dust. I'm not exactly sure how they got there and its not affecting the screen in any way but its kind of annoying. does anybody have any good ideas about removing dust, or how to prevent dust from getting under the screen in the first place?
thanks.

Its a known issue on the device, I have a little on mine in the middle on the right side. Haven't found a way of preventing it or how it even happened. I just leave my case on my phone and don't take it apart unless I have to. If you're with TMO US you can exchange it as a warranty defect but can still happen on your replacement. Both Sensation's we have have the dust. Only seem to notice it outside in the sun.

[Q] Glass replacement on Galaxy S Series

Hi, I've just started a side business buying phones with cracked screens replacing and reselling. I'm doing this using the LOCA glue method I've fixed 5 or 6 with no problems as I have bought all the right gear and did research before I just started breaking LCD's it's been a week and so far they are all still good however I was reading up somewhere and it said that after a while you can get a vein effect under the glass where the glue has started coming away from the screen. I was just wondering in people's experience how often does this happen and what causes it as I don't want any returns as it would be a shame to have any returns due to problems at the last stage of repair.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Rear glass coming up

The back of the glass at the bottom appears to loose. When pressed down and released you can hear a sound like the glue/seals coming apart. I can visually see the glass raised, it looks as if it's bowed in the middle at the very bottom.
Has anyone experienced anything similiar?
I've read about this happening on older models of the Z1, but near the top of the device.
I sent Sony an email, as I'm passed my 14day period with T-Mobile.
I heard about it as well, Im fortunate current one at least so far does not have this issue. Get a replacement, who knows maybe it could get worse or crack, if it gets caught on something.
Had similar issue with front glass but no "bowing".
My third replacement phone, I could see bits of glue in intervals along entire front left beween LCD/frame with massive light leak, I got it exchanged.

Oleophobic coating on screen issue

Hello form Poland.
So after 3 weeks of having the flat S7 found a coating failure on my phone.
In clean condition there is no mark or visible surface difference.
Just if there is fog or fingermarks the issue is visible. The problem seems to be comparable to the LG G4 problem with the coating.
Attached some pictures.
What do you think? Complaint relevant?
It looks like even my new S7 is suffering from this. When the phone is cleaned its not visible. But when its smudgy, a consistent diagnol line appears. Its not a scratch, its just there.
Edit: pics added
I have the same problem!

I have the same problem and I'm going to service center
did you come there? what did they tell you? what did they do with phone? how did they fix it?
I have the same issue on my S7 edge.
I have the exact same issue around the speakergrill. When I clean it it's not visible but once you touch it and leave fingerprints you can clearly see it. Not sure if there are other areas on my screen with the same problem as it has a protector but hope that it will be covered by warranty if needed.

I also have that issue around the speakergrill. I noticed it after a call, so I thought it must be because I put it against my ear. After a day or two, I noticed it again. Tried to clean it with water, and as soon as I touched it, it returned. It isn't much of an issue, since it isn't anywhere near the screen, but it is a bit annoying.
Did you eventually return your phone?
thats why I bought a Silver color S7 edge, and bought a screen protector...
I have the issue on the s7 around the speaker grill and in the gap between home and display... had the issue on s6 too (around the speaker grill)..
Sent from my SM-G930F using XDA-Developers mobile app
I've got the same problem on my phone. Annoyingly, the day I got the phone I kept the screen protector on but about 1/3 of it lifted off. I short while later I took it off and then waited till the next day till a screen protector arrived.
Fast forward 3 weeks later and I took the screen protector off and now notice the the wear mark, fine when it is clean but visible when smudged. Just niggles at me more than anything. Am considering sending it back for exchange or something.
Did anyone manage to do this successfully? Or did they just say something like wear and tear?
old thread but I have the same issue too, clean it, it looks perfect, the second i touch it and it leaves a fingerprint, looks like a nice long scratch right above my home button on the screen
Just wanted to say i have the same problem around the speaker grill, for now its not too big. Do you think it can get bigger ?
Same problem on my S8. Didn't notice it until day 27 and the folks at samsung are being a complete bear to deal with.

Yellowish spot on the right side of the screen .

Hello everybody!
So I have had my phone for about 2-3 months now.
I have mixed opinions about this phone from the software side but that is not the main problem.
For a few weeks now I am noticing a yellowish tint at right side of the screen, near the bezel. I have not dropped this phone even once, have a case and a tempered glass on it, yet this still managed to happen. I am wondering if some of you have the same problem, since i have not heard about this happening to any other Honoor 8 owner.
And even more important question. Does warranty even cover this type of damage?
Thank you for reading.
P.S. No picture of it now because I do not have anything to take it with.
