Hi Guys/Gals,
Thought I would share this.
When I was looking for a way to change the S-View clock, all information was either for other devices or simply didn't work, see below for a short 'How To'.

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
Wallpapers can be found here.
To change your S-View cover clock font, it is as simple as choosing your font, renaming it to 'SamsungSans-Num45.ttf' then pushing it to system\fonts. (not quite this simple but this is the guts of it)
One thing before you race off to do it. You have limited space to deal with, so you can't go too crazy (unless you change the dimensions in an XML I cant remember the location of). You can still change the dimensions in the XML if you want a clock that is larger than stock, but then you would need to move everything so there is no overlap.
To get mine perfect I had to modify the font file, changing the metrics, scale and position as well as character spacing. All fonts are different so there is a bit of trial and error to get it just right.
After making a few more, I found for the best results you need to add the "highdef" glyph from the stock font. After you have added and named it correctly you need to move the place markers to a position that varies for each font. For the bottom marker, move it to just below the baseline (very bottom of the font), for the top marker move it to the same distance above the Winascent as between x-height and capheight (this varies).
To save a little space you can delete all characters except: notdef, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, colon and highdef.
Also, make sure your font is unicode, if it is symbol it won't work. Any good font creator/editor should allow you to convert between the formats.
That's it, now you can mix it up if you want and add things like I did with the Mario font (colon).
Installation:
1. Use a custom recovery and simply install the Zip
or
2. Extract the font, push it to system\fonts and set permissions -rw-r--r-- then hot-reboot or reboot.
Uninstall (revert to stock):
Just flash the Stock font zip from here.
If you make any fonts post them here so we can all share.
Enjoy.
Sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't find the correct information.
PS: This is not the lock-screen clock font this is only for the S-View clock. The lock-screen clock is a set of .png's in an apk (Keyguard if I remember correctly) that you can edit.

Reserved.

How did you changed the wallpaper of s view lock screen?
Thanks for sharing. ..great clock font

For changing the background as well as other useful stuff check this out. It's an Xposed module with a paid front end.

I would say no, just use CWM, TWRP or any custom recovery variant. Or extract the font file and push it to system\fonts with your favourite root explorer set permissions rw-r-r then reboot and enjoy.

Awesome! Thanks so much for this. Is there anyway you could explain better on how to actually edit the images? I'm graphically challenged when it comes to using Photoshop and stuff. I have Gimp to use right now or I could obv "find" a copy of Photoshop on the web to use...

Well have you read the "HOW TO" file?
That should explain on how to do it.
I don't know any other way to do it to be honest with you.
You could ask around what other programs let you edit PSD files so you can make your own icons.
Yes I did but that doesn't really tell me anything. I "found" a copy of Photoshop so after it's done downloading, I will give it a shot. Basically all I want to know how to do is change the colors and make a new one should I feel like it.

LOL well i tried making it as easy as possible.
You only need the absolute basic photoshop skills to edit these.
Easy to pick up when you read through tutorials.

If you still struggle just let me know, i'll help as much as I can.

Tell me, what is the text clock widget there ?

Love that last screenshot you have. The wallaper looks like a retro album cover

Oh sorry I haven't made any blue ones. Only white and grey ones.
The black and grey ones were made because of a donation.
I'm willing to make more if given a donation.

They look good, but they're way too small on Nexus One resolution; using Launcher Pro & BetterCut to replace the icons on the desktop. Not your fault, of course.

Yeh they look small on any phone, it's just how android resizes the icons.
But I think they look fine on my HTC Desire.
I've tried to make the text accommodate as much of the icon background as possible.

Thanks for the tip.
I've changed the PSD size to 72x72 now
I posted this in the other section. I used an icon pack from the market, changed the package name, icon, app name and background color and added his icons.
Too keep it up to date its simple, just open the zip, and insert ur new icons inside the "assets\icons" folder and just resign the apk.

Can anybody post the 72x72 canvas icons already done? I'm on linux and i'd like to keep my pc win programs free

[FONT] Honeycomb Digital Clock font

I haven't seen a thread about the Honeycomb clock yet, so here's a redrawn TTF for use as a Clockopia.ttf substitute:
http://krhainos.tk/HoneycombAndroidClock.ttf
http://dingo9.net/HoneycombAndroidClock.ttf
The real Honeycomb clock has transparent parts and opaque parts, but this TTF has the entire thing opaque. This illustration should better describe what you're getting:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Source files from SDK:
http://krhainos.tk/AndroidClock.ttf
http://dingo9.net/AndroidClock.ttf
http://krhainos.tk/AndroidClock_Highlight.ttf
http://dingo9.net/AndroidClock_Highlight.ttf
If someone's able to modify the lockscreen to use both Honeycomb source files and draw AndroidClock.ttf at 100% opacity, then the Highlight.ttf at ~60% opacity directly on top of it, that'd be near-perfect duplication.
EDIT: Oh good, my rubbish host went down again. Files mirrored.
Looks pretty good. Been looking for that since I saw it at CES.
Sweet! I was going to do this myself but decided I'd check XDA to see if anyone had. Thanks!
Now I want to make an app/widget with the two fonts overlayed... but I haven't done any serious app dev yet. Anyone else want to do it/work with me on it?
Nice! Nemuro and I have already created a clock widget with this look a week ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931473
but we did it using .pngs, not a font. This font is mondo cool! krhainos , are there any conditions for using your font (other than crediting you, of course)?

I saw that clock, but I was a little saddened that it wasn't the original typeface. But again, at the time that was developed, it likely wasn't available! Can't fault you for not having something that didn't exist.
Since this isn't actually "my" work -- you'd have to consult the Google terms for reuse/redistribution(I don't think they'd mind, but check). There are no conditions using "my" font -- as this is all Google's artwork!
You could credit me for the idea/inspiration though, if you really wanted to.

I'm really wishing someone would do it -- I looked at the keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml but specifying a font and such seems to be inside the widget and not XML. It's all just way over my head. Clockopia seems to be referenced inside the sourcecode and "hardwired" in.
So this is where my efforts end. I made a single typeface, and reuploaded the source files in hoping someone with some coding smarts could do it!
mClock theme!
Woohoo! I made an mClock theme using these files. It works pretty well, but could probably use improvements. Here you go!
To install:
Extract all the files of the zip to the root of your sdcard
Create a new mClock widget
Load the Xml template from /sdcard/mClock/Honeycomb_12_white_by_cassidyjames.xml
That's it! You should now have a honeycomb-themed clock widget.

Since the font isn't my property (it's Google's), it really isn't my call to say what you can and can't use it in. So as long as Google is fine with it (which I think they would be), I don't really mind where it's used
The font used in the rest of the UI is Eurostile LT Standard.
Nice Honeycomb clock!
Big thx!!!

[MOD] Custom fonts that work on ics

I recently find out how to make almost any font work on ics (credit to thugesquire)
I have already made quite a few flashable fonts so far and am willing to take requests, all I need is the .ttf file(s) and I can make it into a flashable zip
best results are with fonts that have multiple .tff files (bold, italic, and/or light) but they are not required.
Please either post the ttf files here or pm and I'll get right on it
Screenshots will come when I get a chance to post them

Not sure, post some and I'll see
However it would also depend on if the particular font has those symbols and if Android is even capable of reading them anyway
Btw if you know a font you can read them with I can certainly try to make a zip for it

ASCII works on windows doesn't it? many windows fonts are ttf files (most of the fonts I've ported so far are actually intended to be installed on windows)
And I believe iOS uses Helvetica font which is actually in ROM manager as an ics font package, it's just a question of whether that one has the required letters for it

Just thought I'd post a font, as I've looked all over and haven't seen it on XDA.
It's flashable and has been scaled to 120 from 100 so you can actually see it without having to change your phone's default font size.

Hi Guys/Gals,
Thought I would share this.
When I was looking for a way to change the S-View clock, all information was either for other devices or simply didn't work, see below for a short 'How To'.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

Hi,
I couldn't tell you as the S-View for the Note 3 and the S4 are vastly different. Hence I was a little surprised to hear this mod works on the S4. I imagine you probably can't apply a wallpaper, if you could it would probably be in this forum. I haven't used the S4 let alone with S-View cover, but I imagine you could change the colour of the background somewhere in settings. Although if you wanted to have a look yourself, look into framework-res.apk as this is one of the places the pattern background for the Note is.
If I'm wrong about the wallpaper maybe someone will chime in.
Good luck.
There is a thread here in gs4 forums that have the note 3 sview ported and resized for gs4 window.
Here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2665207

The lock screen clock is a set of images in system\app\KeyguardSPlannerWidget.apk I had a play with them when looking for the S-View font,but I don't use the lock-screen so I didn't continue making them.
If there were enough requests and I had time, I would consider making them. But by looking at the thanks count in the OP this tells me that not too many people care for the mod. Making these things is time consuming and if the appreciation isn't there I couldn't be bothered, unless I'm making them for myself of course.
But by all means have a look yourself, if you have image editing experience it's pretty easy.

I'm not sure if I completely understand you my fiend, what's your problem exactly!?
if you don't have 7zip or winrar on your system just rename the file to systemui.zip then extract it and do the rest.....

I already done that...I use androzip for all my .zip needs usually. Will try laptop winzip.
Edit:WinZip worked to extract.
Pushed to system/priv-app/system ui and gave 0644 permissions.
Now I get relentless system ui has stopped on reboot...
Will wait to read other users response.
Thanks for this promising theme.
Looking nice Arash. Keep it up.

I've made a new flashable theme my friend, you can try this one
Great theme bro!
Thanks alot, gor rid of part of that ugly Lolipop icons.
We need badly a truly black background i settings screen.
AMOLED display and white background, a nogo Sammy!!
My grandsons iPhone 6 looks better with that crappy cheap Retina display
Works for me on Echoe ROM v.22 with L bootloader and newest L modem.
Just some screenshots
Hi my good friends
here you can see screenshots of some other themes I've designed
As soon as I can I'll upload them,
and there are some more:laugh:
Arash you are doing great. Keep it up. I think if you have one theme all in grey also would be nice.
Agreed all black or all white or black on white or white on black would be really nice too! Great work btw ?

Sorry mate, but each theme took me at least 6-7 hours, and one of them 2 whole days!! (I changed most of original icons with new ones ), because there are about 30 different icons and for most of theme 3 different icons should be designed for normal appearance, so at the moment I hope you just enjoy upcoming themes but I'll keep your request in mind for future
Alright I understand thanks and thanks for keeping my request in mind as well. ?
