[FONT] Honeycomb Digital Clock font - Nexus One Themes and Apps

I haven't seen a thread about the Honeycomb clock yet, so here's a redrawn TTF for use as a Clockopia.ttf substitute:
http://krhainos.tk/HoneycombAndroidClock.ttf
http://dingo9.net/HoneycombAndroidClock.ttf
The real Honeycomb clock has transparent parts and opaque parts, but this TTF has the entire thing opaque. This illustration should better describe what you're getting:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
Source files from SDK:
http://krhainos.tk/AndroidClock.ttf
http://dingo9.net/AndroidClock.ttf
http://krhainos.tk/AndroidClock_Highlight.ttf
http://dingo9.net/AndroidClock_Highlight.ttf
If someone's able to modify the lockscreen to use both Honeycomb source files and draw AndroidClock.ttf at 100% opacity, then the Highlight.ttf at ~60% opacity directly on top of it, that'd be near-perfect duplication.
EDIT: Oh good, my rubbish host went down again. Files mirrored.

Looks pretty good. Been looking for that since I saw it at CES.

Sweet! I was going to do this myself but decided I'd check XDA to see if anyone had. Thanks!
Now I want to make an app/widget with the two fonts overlayed... but I haven't done any serious app dev yet. Anyone else want to do it/work with me on it?

Nice! Nemuro and I have already created a clock widget with this look a week ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=931473
but we did it using .pngs, not a font. This font is mondo cool! krhainos , are there any conditions for using your font (other than crediting you, of course)?

I saw that clock, but I was a little saddened that it wasn't the original typeface. But again, at the time that was developed, it likely wasn't available! Can't fault you for not having something that didn't exist.
Since this isn't actually "my" work -- you'd have to consult the Google terms for reuse/redistribution(I don't think they'd mind, but check). There are no conditions using "my" font -- as this is all Google's artwork!
You could credit me for the idea/inspiration though, if you really wanted to.

I'm really wishing someone would do it -- I looked at the keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml but specifying a font and such seems to be inside the widget and not XML. It's all just way over my head. Clockopia seems to be referenced inside the sourcecode and "hardwired" in.
So this is where my efforts end. I made a single typeface, and reuploaded the source files in hoping someone with some coding smarts could do it!

mClock theme!
Woohoo! I made an mClock theme using these files. It works pretty well, but could probably use improvements. Here you go!
To install:
Extract all the files of the zip to the root of your sdcard
Create a new mClock widget
Load the Xml template from /sdcard/mClock/Honeycomb_12_white_by_cassidyjames.xml
That's it! You should now have a honeycomb-themed clock widget.

Thanks! I actually was telling someone else at my work how I wanted to create a Honeycomb clock widget (I had pulled the font from the emulator dump), then I came across this thread and then I found mClock and I couldn't help myself!
I know it has some alignment issues, but it looks alright.

Soon. Working on a theme/set of graphics(including statusbar glyphs) now that I've gotten several people asking me about them. Hopefully end of weekish.
Keep an eye out for a thread.

Wow, THANK YOU so much!
Mind if I use the combined font in a Simply Lockscreen theme?
What font did you use for writing in the illustration image?

Since the font isn't my property (it's Google's), it really isn't my call to say what you can and can't use it in. So as long as Google is fine with it (which I think they would be), I don't really mind where it's used
The font used in the rest of the UI is Eurostile LT Standard.

Nice Honeycomb clock!
Big thx!!!

[MOD] Semi-Transparent App Drawer / Shortcuts Background

This is another change I ended up with by accident, when working on the text-less icons for the app drawer. This is based off of Fresh 2.1.2, but should work with any Sprint based 2.1 ROM.
I originally discarded it, but thought it might be cool to, in addition to changing the color of the app drawer & add shortcuts background from solid black to some other color (gray in this mod), to also make the background semi-transparent, so that your wallpaper shows through, and this is the end product.

I like it because it is different - what Roms will it run on?
This should work on most Sprint-based ROMs.
It is really starting to grow on me. Here's an example using a photo type wallpaper background where you get a better sense for the "transparent factor".
It is something, I think, that looks better in real-life, as opposed to screen captures. I'll probably post a MetaMorph tomorrow.

It's right under your nose. Check the link in my sig, lol.
First post has been updated with MetaMorph control files for applying this change.
It has really grown on me and I am liking it very much. It is not too dissimilar to the semi-transparent notification menu we've grown accustomed to. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
As mentioned above, I think it looks really nice when you have a photo style wallpaper.
Added this Mod!!! I have been looking for a transparent app background for a while. You also went the extra distance and did the same thing to the shortcuts background. Just wanted to say thank you for this and it worked for fresh 2.0d. The only thing that I had to do is re-add all the widgets on my screen after the update. Thanks man keep the updates coming!

I don't know any other way to do it to be honest with you.
You could ask around what other programs let you edit PSD files so you can make your own icons.
Yes I did but that doesn't really tell me anything. I "found" a copy of Photoshop so after it's done downloading, I will give it a shot. Basically all I want to know how to do is change the colors and make a new one should I feel like it.

I posted this in the other section. I used an icon pack from the market, changed the package name, icon, app name and background color and added his icons.
Too keep it up to date its simple, just open the zip, and insert ur new icons inside the "assets\icons" folder and just resign the apk.

Can anybody post the 72x72 canvas icons already done? I'm on linux and i'd like to keep my pc win programs free

The font size in the original PSD is the biggest I could make to accommodate the text. It might look small on the actual phone because it ends up resizing them and making them smaller.

[APP Widget]Cowon D3 Clock

Hello,
I have pushed a code update to github, the features appear to have been rather painless which is always nice.
I have added a colour picker for custom colour choices.
I ended up using https://github.com/attenzione/androi...ckerPreference which is an incredible, well put together little colour picker.
I added the ability to launch the clock app from the widget. This will attempt to open the clock if it can find one. Because some custom roms run custom clock apps and there is no published intent this might not work on your rom. If it fails to launch your specific clock please let me know the details.
I added the option to lowercase all the text similar to gomorrah's blue mod
I should have fixed the 12 hour 00 bug aswell!!
I did test it on a few devices so hopefully it works fine but if there are any problems please let me know.
The plan is to put it on the market, for free, in the next few days when I get a chance.

as soon as it comes out, you'll have it. But until then I'll try to make a clock look the same, but it'll be hard seen as the numbers overlap.
P.S the stock theme for this mp3 player looks alot like the homescreens people show of in the 'post your homescreen' thread
EDIT: I knew it would be hard but it's turning out seemingly implausible for me, I can't get the numbers to overlap with the transparency.
Sorry, you'll have to get a real dev on this.
I hope you'll get to do this clock.
good luck
Looks really nice- would also be interested....
look, maybe this is a little substitute until somebody develops this clock for android...
you can set two minimalistic text widgets one upon the other and let them overlap.

Can you give me some more details? Did it crash or just not render properly? What version of android, what launcher are you running?

I may add a 24hr option on Sunday, but currently it doesn't and I don't know of an alternative.

no- there's no clock like this so far- thats the reason for this thread.
The only alternative is a copy build with minimalistic text widget or make your clock widget. I got a quite good copy with the last one but unfortunately just very small...
This clock has letters the size of 200 pt- the max size of the make your clock widget letters is 72 pt...

[Theme] 1-06-11 GB_Xtreme_Green for GummyJar 2.5

Hey guys I don't know about you but I really like the basic GB theme that has come out on Kejar's and Drods roms...BUT...that ORANGE had to go...so it went in favor of the awesome green. I also edited and changed all the stock Android widgets to match the current YouTube so it keeps everything uniform but with the "new stock" look(decompiled, optimized and recompiled )...I would first and foremost like to thank Kejar and Drod as they are currently developing my favorite roms. Secondly the XDA community as a whole specifically Dr. Coverdale(for his awesome tutorial on draw9patch and editing .9 pngs), Stericson (for the freaking awesome Metamorph and NinjaMorph and all his tutorials)well to be honest the list is long and prestigious so again a big thanks to XDA as a whole.
Items themed:
framework-res.apk
CalendarProvider.apk
Geniewidget.apk
Music.apk
Settings.apk
I also added the microbes live wallpaper with the correct lib file so it's good to go.
So here's some screenies...

The standard disclaimers apply...
By rooting your phone you have already voided your warranty and I take no responsibility for what this modification may subsequently do to your device.
With that I do highly recommend installing over a fresh install or at least a wipe...I know its not considered "necessary" with themes but I find things always work better over a clean slate. Happy Flashing...

Here is my "personal preference" Metamorph...This changes the tabs on the dialer and removes the lines from under the numbers on the dialer and incall phone pad it also removes the green button press. Also this will add the round smileys to framework-res, Mms and Talk. I also changed the music widget and icon images. This will likely be the last mods on this theme as I am(and I'm sure alot of us are.) awaiting the drop of Liberty rom and the next Rubix but if interest in this theme is maintained I will port it to support Kejar/Jrummy and Drod's next developments...screen shots below...
Add Ons...
Here's the themed LP by Benny879 you must have the plus version to use the widgets. Also included in the zip is a set of GB icons by Fab from his ApeX rom. (A very good rom for those looking for a compromise between aosp/blur.) Also a dock that I resized and edited from a com.htc.resources.apk(I included the blank icon for the launcher.) Here's a screenie of the widgets incase you missed it in the op.
Here is a battery percentage mod requested by one of our members...

screenie V2...
Attached is a metamorph theme for this mod...
1. Download Metamorph from Market (free version available)
2. Download attached theme

Yeah I was looking at battery percentages but the battery is kind of small and verticle making it a bit difficult...but I may have a solution come tomorrow. What other icons would you like?

I really like GJ the way it was with the gingerbread look. Well I thought I did till I found this theme. This gave the rom the finishing touches I was looking for and I feel should have been included to make it perfect in both form and function. Thanks for posting this and I hope you don't mind that I linked your thread over at droidforums.net for the gummy users. Thanks again!
