Hi,
I'm having a problem with some folders which are not appearing when I connect the N5 to a computer (tried with Windows 8.1 and OS X Mavericks).
For instance....I had this problem with the "Camera" folder (/dcim/camera) last week and I solved it by renaming (using ES File explorer in the phone) the folder with another name and renaming back to "camera".
The point is there are more folder with the same issue.....(some albums under /Music folder).
The question:
Is there an automatic way to fix all the folders???
P.S.: ATM I'm 100% stock (no root).with ART.

Check that your phone is in MTP mode and not in PTP.
All the folders must me shown in MTP mode.
If you made new folders or files on your phone without PC then restart your phone to make sure the new files or folder appear on pc

Nope
MTP is enabled and phone was rebooted.

In this example there is a folder called "Patricio Rey" which is not appearing.

Hello,
I have a weird problem on my sony xperia tablet z2 (4.2.2). I have unlocked/rooted it, and installed sdfix. It works fine, I can write to my sdcard and all..
Now I have this one download app (equivalent to jDownloader), its called ShareDownloader. I have configured it to download to /storage/sdcard1/Downloads/ShareDownloads
This works fine on my tablet, but when I connect my tablet to the pc it look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When I try to open it, I get this:
In SolidExplorer on my tablet I can open the folder just fine.. Why can't I open this folder when its connected to the PC?
Odd, and I have no experience with ShareDownloader, but have you tried adding a terminating / to the path, so /storage/sdcard1/Downloads/ShareDownloads/ ? You'll want to delete that file before retrying too.
Ok so this is what I did :
- remove app + data
- remove folder sharedownloads
- create new folder 'ShareDownloads' with solid explorer
- View folder on computer, it works
- Install app again and appoint to ShareDownloads
- Download some files
- Connect to computer, i can open the folder now, but guess what, its empty..
So it seems like all the folders and files the app creates are not accessible via the pc, what could be the cause of this problem?

I recently upgraded both of my computers to Windows 10 and have been moving some files over to my TF700 via USB. Yesterday my computer just stopped recognizing it as a USB device.

I uninstalled the driver and tried going back in and installing it manually by selecting 'Asus Android Device' and this list popped up:
I've tried several of them and it still doesn't show up as a USB device. Any ideas? I'm confused because it was showing up fine one day and then I plugged it in the next and it won't show up.
Did you try to reboot both devices?
Try different USB ports

Yeah I've tried both of those. No clue what could have changed overnight.
Me neither. But I recently read about a guy who had to uninstall another device's sync utility to get adb/fastboot back. Maybe something along those lines?
In a pinch you can use a live Linux CD like this one: http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...t/46090-guide-adb-fastboot-linux-live-cd.html
Hi,
I've got a really strange issue:
somehow my phone changed the date of my taken pictures and whatsapp pictures saved on the SDcard. I dont know why or how that happened.
See the picture below/attached.

}
What is the best way to correct the dates? It would take a lot of time to change every single picture since there are around 150 pictures to be changed individually.
Is this maybe a mistake of the media cache??
I found out that you have to modify the pictures on your phone with an app.
I tried to copy the files to my computer, correct them and copy back to te phone. But once you copy the files to your phone the last modified date changes to todays date.

yes, this is beacuse of the MTP protocol (Media transfer). This is really annoying! It is impossible to copy files from computer to the phone and keep the date as far as I know.

So I plug my device into my windows 10 Machine (DEBUG ENABLED) and get a notification saying it can work faster (USB 3)
But the phone does not "Open" on my PC with "File Transfer"
I can select PTP and copy files to the DCIM camera folder so it's Obvs connecting but "File Transer" only shows a driver folder on my PC
Installing the drivers does nothing ! in device manager.
I am really over copying files to DCIM via PTP then copying where I want them with file explorer on the phone. Does anyone have a fix for this error?
facing same problem after updating my windows 10 to 1903 build if you get any solution please share
today I noticed the same problem
never had this before
could someone please explaine what might happened and what I can do to solve this?
edit:
I found the error
had suddenly the same problem with my Samsung tablet
could figure out that a lenovo driver nested instead of the OnePlus (and the Samsung) driver
deleted the lenovo driver and everything is ok again
Every time I connect my SSD/ Flash Drive to my OnePlus 8T, I see anywhere between 12 to 15 folders added to the connected device. These are mostly empty and get created in every partition on the connected device. I will list them here:
1. Alarms
2. Android
3. Audiobooks
4. DCIM
5. Documents
6. Download
7. Movies
8. Music
9. Notifications
10. Pictures
11. Podcasts
12. Ringtones
13. System Volume Information
14. LOST.DIR

}
Earlier, it would only be one or two folders from Android, LOST.DIR & System Volume Information. But now it is almost 15!
This is extremely annoying, and especially since they get created in every single partition.
1. Is there a way to block empty folder creation?
2. Is there a way to make the connected device READ ONLY? Please don't recommend buying one with a physical switch.
Thanks.
Bumping this post to see if there is a solution.
