Atrix 2 not stuck at RED M, hard reset not working - Motorola Atrix 2

Hi XDA,
My Atrix 2 doesn't boot completely, it get stuck at the RED M, i tried to hard reset it (vol up + vol down + power), it shows the options, but whatever option I select, it again stuck at the frustrating RED M.
Can I reset it using my computer?
Thanks

Do you ever see the Motorola boot logo?
What did you do to get it in this condition?
Soft bricks can be fixed by flashing your phones stock firmware via rsdlite. This process is often called FXZ. Whether you can be successful depends on the answers to my questions above.

you think you can select an (option) and boot normally! you've to FXZ "it means to flash it with stock rom and restore everything to factory state"
please follow this instructions carefully to FXZ and solve your problem:

Hi,
Do you ever see the Motorola boot logo? - Yes, always! It start with the RED M, then the RED M with waves appear, and it stuck here.
What did you do to get it in this condition? - I don't know. I guess I charged it with a non-motorola charger (Micro max). But the same charger was working for me for last 2-3 years.
I am trying to FXZ (following Marvel's post), hoping to go it good.
Cheers

I tried following steps provided in this URL. BUT while performing this step....
>>Enter Fast-boot mode by pressing (volume up+ volume down + power button) at the same time..the phone will turn on with a menu...press volume down to move the selector to (AB Fast boot) then press volume up to enter that mode.
>>you now should see "Battery OK"

But my problem is even the Fast boot menu option doesn't show the "Battery OK", it always shows up the RED M! And because of this , I can't proceed for the further steps.
Please help.

you're welcome to ask but please Search how to solve the problem first....I've spent a whole day only learning how to do that right from threads, comments, videos...etc
Trust me, it's worth to learn by yourself new things with android such as flashing,ROMs, Kernel, Root...etc

Thanks,
I have already followed the same procedure for flashing by searching the forum but it doesn't resolve the problem and that is why I have requested for help, If by any other method this problem can be solved.

unfortunately No, FXZ is the only method to solve hard brick problem...you've only to do it right to bring your phone back to live.

Thanks for support.
I have solved the problem by wiping the user data with the help of moto-fastboot.exe.
using command - moto-fastboot -w and rebooting - moto-fastboot reboot.

My tablet is OFF only when the battery is empty, it is normal, but the same thing happens when you get the power back.
By pressing the power button and volume up at the same time, not helping me. Just a quick restart ...
Thanks !

Im sorry i cant. Im not familiar with such way since flashing from sdcard is more simple for me. Computer not recognizing device because of MTP driver is known for common issue though. Dont you want to try flashing from sdcard? Its easier if one is present.

Just copy the rom and gapps to the sdcard and simply flash them from the recovery. Or if you want to update the revovery, you can also put it in the sdcard and flash it before you flash the rom. Wipe cache lastly

Gee so sorry. I thought you have custom recovery like cwm or twrp. Apparently you still have stock recovery there. So i guess you need to download the stock image for your Xoom and, yes you are correct, flash them from fastboot then. Long long time ago, i ever did this but i dont really remember all things. But all i know is that I followed steps from here http://androidforums.com/xoom-all-things-root/653230-return-your-xoom-stock.html. Pay attention for post #37 since all commands i applied are from there. If you need different version of image, you can try looking which fits yours here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1049485. As i told you before, ive done this long time ago so i dont remember what i did at that time but i succeeded by following the steps. However, im here to help you as far as i can. Keep me updated with your process there

Your advice was definitely the solution, but I did not get to do anything because my Xoom is stuck in black screen and cannot power it on
I do not know the cause. It's incredible what happens !
Suddenly started to reboot itself, then stopped completely. It was only connected to the original charger and USB, ready for install drivers and flash.
The power led is ok (white and green, after few minutes) I removed the battery, the voltage is correct, and nothing ...
Do you have any idea?

No, before, when my tablet was with my initial problem (Won't turn OFF and stuck on M logo).
Suddenly it started to reboot itself and stuck each time at M logo, then stopped completely, after 4-5 cycles.
During this time, I followed the steps in this link till the point 6 (reboot your computer, plug in your Xoom and allow the drivers to install), with WiFi Xoom Restore downloaded files.
Black screen, no fastboot, no android recovery, nothing, just a green light when charging with original wall charger (SPN5632B)

With Original Motorola Wall Charger SPN5632B, no long time because my tablet was almost always connected to the charger.
The battery has 8 volts and charger 12 volts.
If I disconnect the charger and hook it back, the white light stay bright about 10 minutes, then turns green.

From what I remember, last days when charging, the Xoom jacks area was warm, now is cold. Maybe it is normal to be cold if the tablet is fully charged now, I don`t know exactly if this is a good indication for helping me...

Green light indicates that the battery is full. Your case is not an ordinary one though. What happens if you press volume up+power button? Does it even boot? At least to the fastboot?
Anyway, previously you said that you removed the battery. Did you tear up your Xoom?

Yes, it is very difficult to understand what happened in this case. No logo, no boot, no fastboot, is power off
Now (Volume up + Power) = Nothing, same black screen
Before (Volume up + Power) = Reset
Yes, I tear up my Xoom

[Q] Next launcher causing boot loop... :(

Hi there...it was mere some hours after i got my new moto g...i installed next launcher and pressed "always" instead of "just once" as i pressed the home button. The phone restarted immidiately and is stuck at logo screen forever. Now i tried flashing stock rom through fast boot method but the process gets stuck at "waiting for device" at the first command. If your bootloader is unlocked you could use fastboot to fastboot flash a recovery. Then do a factory reset.

PLEASE HELP! Very concerned have hard bricked phone!

Hi Guys,
So the story is that I was updating my Xperia Z3 (details below) from TWRP 2.8.6 to 'twrp-3.0.2-0-yuga' using the instructions androidnewsbox.com/2016/02/08/how-to-install-and-update-to-twrp-3-0-0 and after flashing the new TWRP the phone can no longer enter recovery mode and I get no other booting/loading screens.
I had 100% battery when I started the process.
It does still do the little vibrate thing when I hold down the power button but nothing happens after that.
When I plug it into the PC the LED flashes red, then green then goes off.
Reading the instructions twrp.me/devices/sonyxperiaz.html I did use the 'install' function not the 'recovery' function. Is that likely to be the mistake I made? If so is there any way to recover?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Model: D6653
Previous TWRP: 2.8.6
Android version: 5.0.2
Software version: 23.1.A.0.726
Use flashtool to reflash a new system image (ftf). You're using stock so probably your kernel doesn't support FOTA-Kernel partition flashing.
Great to hear back from someone.
Unfortunately I don't think that I can just flash a new ftf using flashtool as I cant get into fastboot mode.
I have been working through the following online tutorial
engineerthink.com/blog/2015/11/how-to-unbrick-hard-bricked-android-phone/
I have installed the USB drivers on my PC from here
androidmtk.com/download-sony-xperia-usb-driver
And i can get the ftf file from here (mine is 1288-6090)
xpericheck.com/device/D6653
Unfortunately I am unable to put the phone into fastboot mode by holding down the power and down buttons. Nothing happens.
The tutorial above also tells me "If phone not going to Fastboot mode than connect it to PC by USB. Hold Volume Up and Power button until you get company logo or backlight."
This also does nothing and I get no backlight or company logo.
FYI if it helps about a year ago I rooted my phone using a tutorial very similar to this
oneandroid.gs/root-xperia-z3/
I will keep working on the problem and post any updates as they come up.

First hard shut down your phone by using combo, after that, download the ftf for your phone (1288-6090 is the customization, what you need is an ftf that its compatible with your phone model, download flash tools, install the drivers that come with it, and using xperifirm (Included in flashtools) you download the firmware) After you have all settled up, proceed to flash your phone, select firmware and then it'll ask you to connect your phone in flash mode not fastboot mode, you can do that by pressing vol up + power (press them and while pressing them connect the usb to the pc). Then the flashing process will start. You can find many tutorials around here in xda. Do not use external tutorials, go find stuff here. It's way more reliable as many are made just for your phone.
Hi and thanks again.
This gives me plenty to learn about and go forward with thanks heaps.

Yes that one, If you press it enough (about 5-10 secs) the phone will shutdown and It wont try to restart. This is what you need first.

No, only when connecting the phone to start flashing the system software, you will see a green light in the notification led that will then shut off and flashing process will start.

This is a great almost-up-to-date guide http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/1...peria-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool/
XperiFirm is included in flashtools now so you don't have to download it, but to get your firmware you have to do the same steps but opening xperifirm from inside flashtool.
You can download flashtool here http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
Seems to be a success!
Thanks heaps for all your great assistance.

Jumping through some hoops with the D6653 myself... did you get it to boot up? Not sure how far you went with it, if still an issue charge it back up and let's try a couple of things; I realize it'll just be sitting there all dumb and dark like, but do it anyway. So let us know.

Finally, I solve the problem by flashing the e recovery image, and then low level forma data.
Hope it helps for someone have the same issue like me.

I WHANT TO GET INTO BOOTLOADER, BUT WHEN I GET INTO THAT option FROM THE VOLUM AND PRESS THE RIGHT button, IT JUMP INTO START.
exactly THE SAME HAPPEN WHEN I TRY TO GET INTO RECOVERY. IT DOESNT GET INTO RECOVERY AND JUMP INTO THE NEXT OPTION.
WHEN I CHOOSE POWER OFF THE SCREEN BECOME BLACK BUT THE PHONE DONT SHUT OFF.
