So I just switched over to T-mobile yesterday from AT&T, and everything was working fine until I went to the Play Store and was going through my installed apps section. Everything disappeared and I received this message on the screen, "Error while retrieving information from server [DF-DFERH-01]"
Does anyone know why I received this, it's my first time receiving that message, and how can I fix this issue?
Clear the play store data.
The play store uses your carrier to know which apps to display. It probably bugged out when you switched carriers.

I am getting those two errors on my Tmobile SGS2. I posted here assuming it could happen on any phone, as the one error, Google Services has stopped.gapps, I got on my MT4G rooted
This phone is not rooted.
When I first got a gapps error and couldn't log in on the MIUI rom for MT4G Ibhad to install Gapps appt. All was fine.
Then when Google Services stopped I had to stop all calendar syncing, as they knew it came from there, stop all calendar apps, restart etc then resync then fine
Now on thos unrooted phone I tries that PLUS I am getting that Google Framework has stopped error
I would rather not do a factory reset if possible as Tmo has me using no apps for a few days, then o e day at a time.
Thanks very much

Google services framework error
I am getting the same problem on my Ainol Novo 7 Paladin (rooted, ics 4.0.3)
Very frustrating.
I was told it was corrupt data under one item in google account. I.e. contacts, calemdar, ...
Well in fact they were right. Mine was the calendar. I deleted all info and reentered from the pc
In ur case it may be that, or it may be a similar pr to oblem I had with a rooted mt4g. I believe I had to simply download gapps and flash it
One of those may help..I hope
I have similar problem on my Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i that is rooted I rooted this device a few years ago with the help of XDA members and has been great up till now, the symptoms I get are, from power up I get message "allow Google's location service" with the options agree/disagree if you press either the message seems to take ages to go away then when it does the next message appears "google service framework com.google.process.gapps" force close now the strange thing is every app on my device still work so I was wondering if the location service is the cause but where would I find that ??

[Update]
Since my last post I downloading Samsung Kies, removed root and connected the GT-S5830i to my PC and found there was an update (2.3.6) proceeded and the device updated with no errors, disconnected from PC and booted device with one error message "Google play store (process.com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly" force close. Now the only app on the device that will not start is "Google play store". The problems I did have before update have gone but now replaced with Google play store error.
Could anyone give me an idea how I could resolve this problem ??
Hi
I'm using a ICS nightly build for my Milestone 2 and since last upgrade I'm having problems with Drive. Specifically, I get a ! mark on the notification bar stating "google docs synchronization error" and "runtime exception".
I've tried uninstalling, formatting cache, etc., but the problem persists. I know that the firmware seems to be guilty, but Drive appears to be fully functioning. Google gives me 2 or 3 results only with this problem so it's not very frequent.
Any ideas?

Me too! What's up??
Me too
who can help us ? me too !
Same error but w/o ICS
I started having the exact same problem yesterday, but I'm not running ICS on anything yet. I have an un-rooted EVO 4g and an un-rooted Galaxy Tab 10.1 and both are giving me the exact same error!
So?
So, it's safe to assume that the problem is related to Google and not my new firmware? Is ot just a coincidence?
I'm running an ICS rom on my phone. Just tested Google Drive and seems to be working for me right now. Was able to open some docs.
Mine works too, and everything seems to be synching ok, but I get the message no matter what..
sync is working for me as well

This error just popped up for me as well this morning.
I'm running stock, un-rooted ICS on a Galaxy Nexus, so I'm not sure how it could be a firmware problem.
**EDIT**: if I recall correctly, the only unusual change I made this morning was signing up for the Hello Fax Service. Is anyone else having the problem using Hello Fax?

I have been getting the same errors and am also using HelloFax.
I'm having the same issue, and I also recently explored the HelloFax feature on the Drive web site.
I'm not using HelloFax
Drive Sync Issue
I am also having this issue, brand new Galaxy Nexus stock ICS. It seems to be isolated to my personal account. My Apps account works fine.
Just removed HelloFax from my Dashboard and from Chrome. We'll see. Anyone figure out an answer?
No problem here
I'm running ICS for Viperboy ICS Beta 3.1 on HTC EVO 3D with Hboot 1.4......I'm having no issues with google drive.....
No issue with google drive.
Generaly working normaly.
I'm just glad to find out I'm not alone. I too use hello FAX. But I don't have it installed on my galaxy nexus. I'm starting to think it may have to do with a hardware version or something. My problem didn't start showing up until I got an insurance replacement unit sent to me yesterday. I've read in other development threads that there are 2 known hardware versions of the gnex. Check out the screen shot. The error shows up in the notification bar...

I think it is account related rather than hardware revision. I tried both my Apps for Education account AND a newer personal Google account without issue. It is only my original personal Google account which is causing issues.
Resolved
I thought re-adding my account fixed it but I'm still getting it.
I went back to Google Drive on the web and deleted the HelloFax folder, and that made the sync error go away. I haven't tested to see if it has problems with folders in general or just that specific one.

Let us know if the issue returns.
I have a Nexus 5 that's rooted and has cm 11 on it. It was originally through Sprint but I put it on Ting. Now it's used as a wifi device only. I no longer use it since this is the 3rd N5 I have had that the screen ended up cracking. So I gave it to my son to use. It was working fine up until a couple days ago. He said he could not download anything from the playstore. So I start messing with and he was right the play store kept reloading and then saying error. Cleared cache and data and tried again. Still same thing. So I updated play services.. same thing. Tried a different version play store... same thing. Next I did a factory reset. And now it won't let me add my Google account or create a new one. The N5 when this started was running cm 11 stable build. After the factory reset I flashed a nightly build of cm 11 (12/6/14) and it's still doing the same thing.
When I try to add a Google account it says this....
****[Can't establish a reliable connection to the server.
This could be a temporary problem or your android device may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care.]****
Can anyone help me? We can still download apps from other sources outside the play store but it's a huge pain in the butt. My family and I use Google apps a lot to stay connected and this is just not cool.
Any ideas? Tried searching the forums and googling it but not getting anything helpful.

Recently I have started getting an error saying Google Play Services has stopped, I have tried clearing the cache of both play services and the play store with no luck.
I have also tried clearing data, rolling back to the previous version & even as a last resort I did factory reset. Nothing seems to be working, now I'm thinking it may be related to another app?
Model: 6+ PE-TL10
Build PE-TL10V100R001C900B141
Play services: 7.5.71(1955121-038)
Play Store:5.5.1.2
Anyone else had this problem? or have any other possible solutions? it's happening every few mins now

Try deleting hosts file from system/etc and fixing it with ad away after that.

thanks for the reply. just had a look at that file. Need root to delete though, maybe thats something to look at next..
Hey,
Did you manage to get this fixed? I've got the same versions as you and I'm having the same issue, its gradually getting worse. Message has gone from being occasional to once every few seconds. It's driving me nuts. :silly:
I've tried the normal tips suggested for other phones (wipe cache, un-install updates, shout at it).
Currently looking at one of the update files from needrom incase its an issue with 4.4.2. Failing that will try rooting and failing that i guess its a factory reset and fingers crossed unless anyone has a brain wave.
I assumed it was Play Services itself, which you can't delete to roll back (and test) but it seems to be an app, which I'd uninstall if I knew which one.
I saw someone else with a 6+ at an event recently who had the exact same version of Google Play services and he's not had the problem once. I get it all the time.
Honor is aware of it, although it's been a few weeks now.
I just went thru same problem, different device, but i went thru two hours of hell, until i finally figured it out..... Similarly i went thru same problem last week on my rooted Lenovo ideapad... And today i couldn't remember what the f¥¢k i did to fix it! Finally, with the error "unfortunately the process gapps has stopped" every two seconds and constant notification about Google play service needing update.... But damn device freezing cause button needs hit ok.... Finally i went and managed to between error message ; get into settings - application mgr - all - Google play services.... Clear cache data manage data force stop.... Them Playstore wipe cache +data, uninstall update....
Then back to main settings page, accounts - Google - uninstall all accts. Reboot....
Then i tried (soon as booted) to go play but it was stuck on weird error - no service (?? Was on wifi - wtf??) so Google search and said i need update and that took me to Google account set up... Reinstall account and you get the Google accept play messages and backup /restore checkbox.... After that all was good to go.... Yeehaw!! * Yipee!!!
Sure that there is probably a beer way to do it but i was cussing up a storm and ready to smash it into the wall! Thankfully i was patient and figured out a solution
I had the same problem twice, and i solve it by :
Uninstall the update of play service in app manager. (Clear cache mayby)
Reboot.
Let playstore reinstall the update.
That's all.
No need to delete Google acount.

I experienced same issue on my Honor 6 plus and it drove me mad. 100 times per day the same message popped up in different situations but I could not see any correlation between the appearance of the message and any specific activity on the phone. I only noticed that the message appeared more often when I used any map application like Google Maps or Nokia Here. I tried to fix it with all above mentioned solutions, deactivated most of the Play apps, cleared the app cash of play services and all GApps, cleared the system cash from stock recovery and nothing helped for more than 10 min. Finally I deactivated Google Now (via Google Settings) and suddenly the popping up of this message stopped. No single error message re-appeared since that (48 hours ago). So in my case the issue seems to be solved for now and finally I'm fully happy with the phone.

I am also getting this error since I got lollipop update on my honor 4 x and now on Android 6 on same devices.
My wife's G4 recently updated to Marshmallow and now when trying to access the Google Play Store, she is receiving an FC. I've attempted clearing data and force closing as well as upgrading to a new version. Problem still persists. She actually receives the error ever few minutes when not opening the Play Store.
Any help?
