Hi, I would like to mention a little app that save me in my phone : it's named "Soft buttons light"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.meco.sbl
It's a piece of software that enable the soft button lights to be syncronized with the screen backoung light.
So while your screen is active, the button remain illuminated.
it is very usefull for phones (like my thl W3 dual core) for witch the developper "forget" to bing screen and button lights...
With this app, playing/reading in the dark is no more painfull...
it seems that it is programed to let the button litted even 1 second or 2 after screen off, in case...
Thanks to the dev.
He also promize to add a little nice feature : use button backgroung light as notification led (so that bottun will blink when you have missed calls, unread messages...)

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if it was possible to lock the soft keys bar when the phone is in landscape mode: I don't want it to go to the upper side of the phone.
My N5 has stock ROM and Faux123's Kernel.
Thank you

I believe Paranoid Android has a feature like this in the system. At least a search on the forum someone said Paranoid Android had a feature similar to this. (The post can be found here)
To be honest, I was looking for an app/mod/zip to use with the stock ROM, and I'm afraid the behavior of the softkeys in PA ROM isn't what I want: I like the "phone mode" in the N5, but I'd like the home, multitasking and back buttons to be on the left side of the screen when I use the phone in "reversed" landscape mode (with the volume rocker upward).

After updating to android 6.0.1 I'm having a touchscreen problem.
After a few seconds of using of the tablet a shadow appears in the upper part of the screen around one of the icons. If I'm on the home screen it will appear around the top left app icon regardless of what icon is it, if I'm in settings screen the shadow will apear around the top left option.
The shadow affects scrolling by stucking the screen and doesn't allows me to choose any other opption besides the shaddowed one. I have or to go back one screen or to lock and unlock the screen in order to choose what I want.
Had anyone faced the same problem? Any solution beside rolling back to 5.1.1 (problem of it's own)?

Great day ahead my friends.
I am a new Samsung Galaxy S10+ user. I didn't like to press power key everytime to lock the screen. I prefer Screen Lock either widget or app.
I found some apps in the Google play store ,some of them are not compatible with Android Pie. Those working are little bit uncomfortable for me. Once I locked the screen with those app, I can't use either Face ID or fingerprint to unlock the screen. Only PIN works after that. I was unhappy with that.
I loved this inbuilt widget from Honor 8x.
I hope you guys can help me out.
Thank you very much friends
If you use the Samsung Launcher you can double-tap on the screen to turn off the screen. Can one adjust in the settings. Under Home I believe.

Well I don't know if you have problems with power button being so high but for me it was so I mapped Bixby button to execute "screen off" command to Bixby! only problem (not for me since I'm always with 4g or wifi) is that you need net to work.

You can do that to turn it on, but not off.

Yeah, thanks for sharing that possible way to.
But, as you mentioned, it's not a perfect way
Try One hand operation + from Samsung. You can setup swipe from edges with different directions to turn screen off
you can go with softkey edge from samsung store and you have a lock screen button or go for nicelock https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/themes/nicelock-module-download-links-module-t3923844/

Amazing
It was a great help
Using the Samsung GoodLock app I just added it and a notification drop-down button as well. In GoodLock, it's called NavStar.
