[Q] Home button takes me to the 3rd screen

Is there a way to configure this? I'd like to set it to the first screen.
actually the center screen
yes u r right. Now how do I set it to #1?
You don't

Isn't the 3rd screen the Home Screen? There are 5 screens in total.
The middle screen is the primary screen. The reason for this is because it is the least distance from all other screens (with a maximum of 2 swipes to any of the 5 screens). There is no way of configuring it in normal honeycomb settings as there is very little reason to other than if you have a background image you want to work well with all your main widgets and launch icons on a specific screen other than the middle one. As for trying something to change it you'd have to wait for ROMs or a launcher replacement with that kind of functionality built in (I am not aware of any with that functionality).
Looks like I will have to swap screens 1 and 3 then Is there a way to select multiple shortcuts and move them in one shot at least?

how to mimic home, menu, & back keys

I tried nova and golauncher but I am unable to figure out how to mimic those buttons on the bottom of the screen.
I have a galaxy tab 3 8"
I plan to do a flush install in my dash, and it would make it a lot easier/cleaner if I could cover those buttons up and mimic them on the screen but no luck so far.
thanks
I am sure its possible because some of the reviews online of the different launchers show screen shots and at the bottom of the screen there are small icons of the three buttons. Unfortunately there is no mention of it in the article/ review.

It depends.
If your SystemUI.apk has softkeys (as they're called) coded in, you can use that code and put softkeys into your statusbar. It's not perfect but having a HOME and a BACK key can be at the top of the screen can be quite handy on larger devices.
Putting a whole navbar in is a lot more complicated though and way beyond my skills.
Sudden thought...can you post a screenshot of your home screen please? I may have an idea..

How to lock the soft keys bar?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if it was possible to lock the soft keys bar when the phone is in landscape mode: I don't want it to go to the upper side of the phone.
My N5 has stock ROM and Faux123's Kernel.
Thank you

I believe Paranoid Android has a feature like this in the system. At least a search on the forum someone said Paranoid Android had a feature similar to this. (The post can be found here)
To be honest, I was looking for an app/mod/zip to use with the stock ROM, and I'm afraid the behavior of the softkeys in PA ROM isn't what I want: I like the "phone mode" in the N5, but I'd like the home, multitasking and back buttons to be on the left side of the screen when I use the phone in "reversed" landscape mode (with the volume rocker upward).

[Q] Lock screen / home screen help

When I power it up it shows me a lock screen (Call it A) which slides to open. Then it shows a screen (Call it B) that has shortcuts to phone, hangouts, and just go to desktop.
I can change the first screen, A.
How the devil do I change the second one? It shows a dock against water and is basically orange / yellow colors.
i dont understand can you attach some pics?

No bro, look u will have wallpaper colours on the navigation bar when on the home screen, lenovo takes care for such small things. Dont worry....
And btw black colour doesnt cause screen burn since the pixels of black colour area are always off. Anything except black can cause screen burn

Yes,amoled screens are prone to screen burn but only when they are on, and when its black colour the pixels are turned off,so its equal to screen completely turned off, hence burnout cant take place due to black. No worries...:good:
Hit thanks if i helped

How to save status bar from burn, can we have auto hide+slide down or make its color black? Although by default it keeps changing color.
BTW
I opted fingerprint gestures:
I don't like on-screen buttons much(was a gs5 user)+ small fear of burn
Neither https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
This addon never gets old. And everything else feels retarded once you get used to it.

Yup,Status bar keeps changing colors,it wont burn! For that hide+slide option, some app or xposed might help u to get this
FP gestures. For me, there is no point in buying a 5.5 inch screen phone if you have to use .3 inch of the screen for navigation. If it was a set like mi mix with higher screen to body ratio, then it would be fine. But we have enough bazzle space in our P2. More over, FP gestures work perfectly and you don't need multiple point of contact for finger to get multiple actions performed.
1 button for sure. More screeen the better. Also its quite easy to get the hang of it
i use on screen buttons BUT i prefer capacitive buttons outside the display, this on screen buttons are the worst thing about the p2......
i hope that lenovo will release a p3 with capacitive buttons.....
