hey i just have a quick hardware question if the the touch part still works but the screen is all black (first it was pink then blue then black) do i switch out the screen or do i switch out the screen and the digitizer.
and is it worth doing at this point
I think the digitizer is sold as a part of the display so you'll be buying them together.

ok thanks can't wait to get back into it
my nexus s stuck on black screen no boot loader or any thing .!
just black screen .!
I see some horizontal lines when the phone's screen is off and see the screen on a very bright light.
Is it the way LCD panels are supposed to be like or any defect?
I already searched the forum and could not find any answer. Please confirm

Ok. So, it's nothing to worry about. Thank you.
Well... If you don't see it, definitely you have a defect!

Throughout the day. My phone display became more and more worst. It started out with little finger sized purple smudge. Now, it because black. Well, almost. Would anyone help me? I included some pictures below.
Broken AMOLED... Probably a hairline crack, so fine it's hard to see. Screen can be replaced, but they are pricey... $100-130 US for new screen plus install.
Google "AMOLED screen cracked images" and see the purple screen of death.

Hi I just bought a note 3 sm n900. While using it for the past 3 days I recently noted a faint white diagonal line across the screen almost as if the screen is cracked. However the glass is fine. Can I ask for a replacement ?

First. Wrong section. Should have been in Q&A.
Taking a guess here. Could be a cracked digitizer.
Ask them to rectify it.

My 12.2 Galaxy Tab Pro just started having a greenish blinking vertical 2 inch wide strip on the right side of the screen. When I put pressure on the sides of the screen or twist the screen a little it goes away. It also goes away sometimes then the screen rotates from horizontal to vertical. I took a screenshot but it didn't show the green strip. Is the digitizer failing? Something else? Any help is greatly appreciated.

The screenshot cannot capture the vertical line because it takes a copy of output from the mainboard. When pressing on the LCD to make it goes away is the sign your LCD starts to fail.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I will have to replace the LCD or the tablet.

A used LCD assembly is around $170 to $180 ( with frame ) or new one without frame is only around $180 to $190, this one you have to re use the frame and home button.
Your mainboard can last another 2 years if you know how to do the maintenance ( fix battery connectors ).
